An interested party
While I have never read Noel Hynd before, I got this book because it's subjects are of interest to me. (Blossom was my father's sister). I never expected it to be so easy to read. Noel writes as he might talk to you at a family outing. As if he were chatting over coffee. It was really a pleasure to read.
Mesmerizing!
Although I am a Noel Hynd fan, but not a baseball fan, I loved this book nevertheless. Hynd is such an excellent story teller, I read this book in one weekend not because I was interested in the subject matter, but because I found myself immersed in the story itself. Hynd has a way of doing that with his readers. The history was interesting, and I learned quite a bit about baseball and vaudeville. But the best part was the romance surrounding the main characters, and Hynd related this true tale with compassion and sympathy.

Wonderful Script, Wonderful Play
Moon Over Buffalo, is a refreshingly hilarious script. Once I began to read it, I could not put it down. It is a fast paced, farce that captures the attention of anyone reading it. It is just as fast on stage, and was a wonderful production. With a simple set, and a great varity of characters any group from a college theatre club to a community theatre can pull it off. It was a joy to direct, and I was told it was a joy to act in. I highly recommend it. Read it, Watch it, or Perform it, anyway you are promised a hit.
Moon Over Buffalo: A GREAT Comedy
When you are reading a book or a script, do you find yourself bored, or rarely interrested? Well, I never laugh out loud while reading and I about died from it after reading this script. It is THE funniest play I have EVER read and I reccomend it to any theater company... except maybe a children's company. There is no lack of raunchy sex jokes and misunderstood situations. George and Charlotte Hay, a famous acting couple, are doing Rep. at a sham theater in Buffalo, New York. They are horribly upset that director Frank Capra in Hollywood has not chosen them to star in his new movie, "The Twilight of the Scarlet Pimpernel."
In the mean time, Charlotte finds out from Richard Maynard (a lawyer friend of the Hay's who continually tries to sweep Charlotte off her feet) that their company isn't making the payroll and their financial situation is quite serious. In the meantime Paul, Charlotte and George's stage manager, tries to find George and tell him that he has impregnated Eileen, an actress in the company. In the midst of all the chaos, Rosalind, George and Charlotte's daughter, has come to tell the family that she is getting married and has brought her fiancee (the rather nerdy weather man, Howard.) to meet the family (who unfortunately meets him, first. Ethel, her slightly deaf grandma, for example). Paul happens to be an old flame of Roz's. In fact, they were almost married, but Roz wanted to lead a normal life. Charlotte finds out that her husband has been sleeping with Eileen and all hell breaks loose when George disappears, then shows up drunk as a skunk a half hour before the matinee. This play is an absolute riot. It's a big audience pleaser, and good for a laugh if you just need something funny to read.

A well-written novel from the first time author!
Robert W. Arnold's "Noel", is an exciting book I bought and actually enjoyed reading it. He had set his dream to write something like a book and he finally made it! For a long time since I know that he did say something years and years ago. So there is a book, he did done a fine job and I am proud of him. I know him as my old classmate (at Virginia School for the Deaf and the Blind, Staunton) and a friend (I'm not sure at this time since I had not seen him almost ten years ago!) So well, I am telling you before you start to roll your eyes, this book is set for the Christmas holidays, but I think he's late and the Easter Bunny is more than happy to do his favor to publish it and put it on the market. I think I had my money worth buying the book and I rather not to say that I am lending him my support for his living expenses in the West coast. But actually he did it for the first time and I had seen his ambition in storytelling and he's creative in making the stories when we were the kids. I have to think hard to see if these stories told in the past were true or just plainly exaggerated? Oh well, he did it anyway. The book is so great, real funny at the most, and at least it is the thought-provoking story. Beware about the famous Dr. Feltgood syndrome! Uh? Yes! At least, it did made me feel so great after done reading the book, mind you! The characters created in the book are almost real and easily follow where the story led. Hilarious ones especially for Mr. Tyme! The big guy in the book, Howard Peel, eventually draw you in his world about his consciences after he brought his town into chaos, despair and anger after he once brought them alive with happiness and the riches of the prosperity. And also he ran away, seeking for the perfect gift for the town to redeem his failures but had not seen him for a year, building consequences against him. The tale told by Howard Peel had succeeded to peel the layers of guilt, greed, rich lifestyles and blind ambition of the free enterprise. The distinction of the tale between the town and the dream world seems similar but convincing. Even the outcome at the ending, bringing a hope, not abandoning the purpose to celebrate the Christmas. Wow, it is an unique story! He did wrote something in resemblances of his people in Virginia but nothing in the book is purely coincidental. Who knows? I can tell you to go on and to get the book, read it and you would be glad you did it. I applaud you for the finest writing and hope to see your second book coming real soon!
Yes, a mustbuy!
This book has so many incredible parts. The best part, in my honest opinion, is the character Mr. Tyme - his encounters with the main character Howard Peel are hilarious, yet after a while you realize they are truly profound and amazing. The whole book, set around a Christmas crisis, fools you into thinking it's one of these disgustingly cheerful books about Christmas. And while it IS a feel-good book ultimately, the vivid images conjured up by the author's hand are just amazing. Non-preachy moral lessons, amazing visual imagery, and humor - what more can you ask for from a book?
Buy it no matter what the season.

A Pulitzer prize winner
This is one book you can't put down once you start reading it.
This book is so dynamic that you have to keep turning the pages to find out what happens.
You become so involved with the characters, one minute you are crying the next minute you are laughing. A very heart felt and warming story. (I believe this is a true story)
This is the TRUE meaning of Christmas.

I loved this book! The story is so intriguing, and it made me love Christmas even more than I already did. It is the perfect stocking-stuffer: it is both meaningful and affordable! I am going to give copies to my neighbors and relatives this year.

Beautiful imagery and real life scenario
Noel is performing in a ballet - as a tree. Envious of the child who is cast as a doll, she tries to weasel in as one, until she
talks to her ballet mistress. The wise and wisecracking mistress tells her to become a tree - to be happy as she is. Noel is transformed from an unhappy child to one who fulfills her dream of being a ballerina in a beautiful scene. A wonderful book full of imagery and real-life emotions of a child. Not necessarily a Christmas book!

There's a message here for all of us.
My children and I just love this book. The children enjoy it because the story is compelling, the characters are interesting and the illustrations are evocative (although they would probably use different words). I enjoy it because the message is insightful and important for all of us: "If you lean fully into your life, no matter how ordinary it seems at any given moment, you'll find extraordinary beauty."

Connoisseur of the Macabre
This is a philosophical and psychological look at why people love to experience the horror film (and novel). It teaches people how to understand the dynamics of film making and how simple techniques are used to fool our conscious (and unconscious) mind.
A excellent academic analysis of various elements in horror.
This essay attempts and succeeds at explaining why horror literature fascinates our culture. I myself had wondered why people write in this genre, and why is that we can enjoy a seemingly strange area of fiction.
I espically recommend this book to any person who is new to horror, and would like to learn about it. Even thought this book is written in a scholarly manner I think the language is down to earth for most any person to read.

Apostolic Reformation
I believe this is a masterpiece. The book cleary charts the destiny and the future of the Global Church and the concepts and principles which is presented is revelatory and reforms the mind of the reader and alligns it to the pattern that Jesus intends the bride to be.A real eye opener and a work which is penned by a pioneer. This book is a definite blessing to any reader who wants to know what God is doing in this present season of apostolic reformation.
Highly authoritative and governmental, truely mind blowing
I find that this book "Reformation of the Church" is none like no other written in this day! It is beyound that of this present century and thus prepare us "the Church" for the new millenium. I was totally captivated by the book, in the way and style it was written, truely represents that of an apostolic postion. One like no other book I have read before. I mean I have read books by Dr. Miles Munroe and Dr. Freddrick Price and other great men but this book is in a class by itself. It forces one to change paradigm and shift previous postions into new mentalities and postions where God wants us "the church " to be at this time. I highly recommend this book to every spirit-filled 21st Century Believer.

A book worth seeking out
This is a wonderful book, filled with recommendations of books which have been overlooked. One of the books mentioned is "Kai Lung's Golden Hours," and that establishes all by itself Mr. Perrin's right to recommend books.
Reading this book sent me on an odyssey where I discovered James Gould Cozzens and many other authors whom I had never read before.
So look at this book as the literary version of "Beautiful Music You Have Never Heard Before."
I found my copy in a used-book shop, and have treasured it for years.
Highest possible recommendation!!!
For booklovers..
