EXQUISITE!
This book is truly gorgeous with its fantastic close up photographs of details of 20th century garments. There are chapters devoted to bows, to buttons, sleeves and so on. This book actually came before Avril Hart's "Fashion in detail - 17th & 18th Century Clothes" and together they will keep you occupied for many hours. I only wish there were more volumes. Sheer heaven!

Homefront Through The Eyes Of Molly
I have always been fascinated with American History. It was my favorite subject in junior high/high school. Growing up my mom would tell me stories of when she was a little girl growing up during World War II. I was fascinated with her stories/antics of what she,her siblings, family and friends did during this time. Valerie Tripp has done a beautiful job of capturing the essence of growing up on the homefront in her series about Molly. The storyline is very much like the stories my mom used to entertain me with as a little girl. The historical viewpoint is accurate while the storyline is so well written you feel like you are watching a movie. I highly recommend this series to parents everywhere.

:)
This is the first book in the Carramer Crown series. Prince Lorne de Marigny is the ruling Monarch in Carramer. He is the oldest of three siblings, a widow, and a single father. Lorne has no interest in getting involved with a woman after his disasterous marriage. Lorne does not count on Allie literally washing up on his private beach. After seeing that she gets medical attention, Lorne invites Allie to stay on as his sons companion. Allie agrees because she really wants to help the Prince's son, Nori. Allie and Lorne are very attracted to each other, but at the same time they anger each other like no else can. In a heated arguement Allie does something that she regrets deeply, but it is to late and the Prince punishes Allie. He takes away the one thing that hurts her the most. She wants to hate him, but she can not help but be drawn to him. This is an exciting beginning to what I am sure will be a great series.

Who Am I Am: My Home is the Farm
What a wonderful book. I had an opportunity to review another book in the Little Nature Books series by the same author. The pictures are great and enable children to see the animals in full color and natural environments, while trying to name the animal. Even my own 2-year old loves looking at the vivid pictures. I am trying to find all the books in this series for use in my classroom.

cute sea creatures book
My son saw this board book at the library and liked the front cover so he read it to me. It's very cute and informative. My son is 7 but the book can be read to much younger children. He read it in about a minute but still enjoyed the pictures and information in the book.

A Fun Gift for Sisters
My Sister A Treasury of Companionship is a wonderful little book of quotes from women writers. It illustrates in a fun way the special relationships many of us share with our sisters. I have purchased one for each of my three sisters. I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to tell their sister how very special she is.

My children love it!
This book is very special: you draw, fold and tell. There are mystery-fold variations: fold together ("folding the side together"), single fold ("fold over a section of the lower or upper part"), double fold ("folding the edges of the paper to meet in the middle") and other folds. My children were fond of "Grandma''s house", "Shut de door", "Birthday party". The others stories are: "The unhappy office building", "Fairies", "No water-no legs", "Lost in the mountains", "A Hallowen scare", "Zoo ride", "Soccer", "The favorite animal" and many others.... There 22 stories.

Will This Kid Ever Leave?
This book gives you all the reasons grown-up kids (is that an oxymoron?) choose to live at home (nest) and why their parents let them. This book teaches both how to cope and communicate more effectively. Moving on will shift the family relationship to the next level. Well written and full of helpful info.
