A Christmas to Remember!
Colette Peters is a true artist. Her cakes, which I've seen in person, are remarkable. Her books are very thorough and concise. I am no artist, but I have made several of her cakes and they all turned out great! She is able to explain the cake-making process so that even I can understand how to do it. I have all her books and love them all!

Inviting and Inspiring
This book is welcoming to the reader, although it is a collection of sermons that have been preached from the pulpit. But, having the chance to read them is a blessing, because there is so much here. It is as if each one were written especially for you. They give such food for thought. The writing is excellent and easy to follow. The stories and personalization make the whole presentation even better. Certainly the title exemplifies the whole book. Come as you are and find nourishment in this very special inspirational manuscript.

One of the best!
An excellent book detailing the perils and possibilities of Blackness in America. While there are references to African American/New York-centric institutions (such as the I-Be-Damn News) that may escape some readers, it provides a viciously funny, historically accurate and insightful look at a community in transition.

A Different Cracker Jack Book
I love looking through this book, admiring the prizes and reading the history. It's different from Larry White's excellent book in that it offers a little different take on the history and provides more reading. It isn't as good for the collector looking for prices or even looking for specific toys as it doesn't list prices or show the variety of toys as White's book does but it is an excellent picture book. Pictures are large and very clear. I have many of the toys pictured but the pictures are clearer than looking at the real thing, they're great. If your a beginning collector buy White's "Cracker Jack Toys, The Complete Unofficial Guide For Collectors" first but definitely buy Jaramillo's book. It is a beautiful hardcover picture history book every collector should have. The cover is even modeled after an old Cracker Jack prize with a turning wheel. The book has 96 pages.

Excellent textbook for all maxillofacial surgeons
Excellent book that describes all aspects of craniomaxiillofacial fractures. However, it would be a good idea to list the editor, who is Alex M. Greenberg, D.D.S.

A High Standard for Bibliographic Scholarship
I have frequent recourse to this bibliography, and value its succinct, astringent, and judicious annotations. But it is in its thoroughness that the book's true glory lies. I often come across a reference to a contemporary review, or an out-of-the-way article or chapter on Jeffers that I've never heard of, and think to myself, "This is such a recondite reference, surely Vardamis missed it . . . " But almost without exception I find the reference in this excellent work. This has happened twice in recent months, and many other times over the years. And whenever it happens, I am struck anew by the very high standard the author has set for works of this kind.

Great story! Great art!
Beautifully illustrated, this telling of a cherished Bible story is a great lesson for children (and adults) today. A young man is taken captive and pressure is put on him to compromise, but he remains steadfast to his faith and his standards. He is put to the ultimate test because of his convictions and God delivers him miraculously. And deals with his enemies. And blesses Daniel and his friends.
