I read this over 2 years ago, and I still remember very well what happens. It is great book for 8 to 11 year old girls. I guess really anybody would like it.

Very Duplicatable!
As the others have pointed out, this book is an EXCELLENT training manual and a great starter guide.

I also found that the comic book style made this book extremely accessable. People who might be intimidated by a 200-300 page book (and there are more than you'd think) will be willing to read this book because its essentially a large comic book.

But don't let the format fool you. The information density is very high and this is a book that belongs in everyone's library as a reference.

I also liked the emphasis on doing this business TOGETHER as a team. That's missing in a lot of books.

The palatable Truth
If there was ever a book on network marketing that made me want to go back into it, this is THE book. I started with A----in 1977, and sure enough, was told to tell my family and friends.(The Pukeys)
Kim Klaver has changed all that with her wonderful sense of humor and all too uncommon good sense.
With Ms. Studs ROM (Reach Out Methods), I am all fired up and rarin' to go again.
I will require my first line people to read and re-read this book. It will make a good gift for anyone who is "leader"
material.

By far the best training on network marketing
After 6 years in network marketing, I have read virtually all of the top authors on the subject. Not one of their books compares to the nuts and bolts approach of Kim Klaver's "The Truth." There is a wealth of info that you will use on a daily basis. This book changed the way I look at this business and it changed the way I DO this business.

I was put off by the cartoon format at first, but soon realized this book had more solid useful info than any other I had ever read: What to say and do (and NOT to say and do). Solid prospecting ideas (without losing your friends and family! ). Terrific script ideas that are truly the best part of the book. Even if you don't think you need a script, your dialogues will be significantly improved with these ideas..

Through it all (even with the cartoons), this is the most professional mindset and approach to network marketing you will find. If you want success in this industry - in your lifetime - then read this book ASAP! And you MUST arm your new reps with this book! Put this book in the hands of all new reps, and the MLM attrition rate would drop dramatically. Powerful.

Z Is for Zorglub (Spirou and Fantasio)
Published in Paperback by Fantasy Flight Pub Inc (1996)
Authors: Andre Franquin and Kim Thompson
Amazon base price: $8.95

better than tintin
Z is for Zorglub was the 15th Spirou book Franquin made. He then left the comic to focus on his own character Gaston la Gaffe. In Z is for zorglub we'll meet the mad scientist zorglub who wants to dominate the world. However, there is one spirou book even better than this one: Le dictateur et le champignon: In which Spirou and Fantasio must battle Fantasios evil cousin Zantafio (whom is the archvillain of the series)

A fond reminder of my younger days
I have around thirty of the hardcover Spirou and Fantasio graphic novels, in Spanish, from when I vacationed in Spain as a boy. As a college student now, I look back on those days fondly, and these graphic novels have aged extremely well. This French comic series are adventure stories similar to those found in the more famous Tintin books by Herge. However, in my opinion, Spirou and Fantasio are far superior...more whimsical and imaginative (the character Marsupilami originated in the series' pages before being bought by Disney). Spirou and Fantasio travel the world, toppling dictatorships, fighting mad scientists, traveling to the future and the past, and stopping organized crime rings. A few years back, a series called El Pequeno Spirou (or Little Spirou), spinned off of the Spirou and Fantasio comics. Little Spirou stories are one page comic strips (like those that appear in the Sunday paper) full of hilarious lowbrow (and award-winning) humor. The main character is Spirou as a child, and Fantasio, unfortunately, doesn't appear in the stories. These too are worth getting. Unfortunately, as other reviewers have stated, it's hard finding these graphic novels outside of France (and Spain). Hopefully, as with Asterix and Tintin, these books will someday reach avid young readers everywhere.

Classic French comic filled with mordant wit and adventure
I read all the Spirou stories as a child when we lived in Belgium, and then afterward when we had moved back to the US. In the 60s, they were serious rivals of Herge's Tintin for the hearts of European kids. For some reason (undoubtedly some financial or distribution reason I'm unaware of) they have yet to catch on in America. Hopefully, the American printing of Z Is For Zorglub, one of the more fantastical, even outlandish, of the Spirou & Fantasio adventures, will kindle an interest. My daughter is a convert and I'm beginning to teach her French so she can read my old Spirous, which I've kept all these years.

Ground breaking and well researched
This book is a real innovation in the field of crime research. The area of criminal profiling is populated by no shortage of Walter Mittys with no empirical grounding, so is it refreshing to find a text that cements the theories of this complex and fascinating area with empirical analysis of real cases. The text is well written and opens up a new area of criminal behaviour analysis to students and police officers alike. This book will undoubtedly become a key text in the field of criminal profiling and a welcome replacement to the long list of dull criminal psychology books that do not tell you anything useful, because the ivory tower authors have no practical experience.

A Complete Guide to the Subject
This book is packed with information and offers a complete summary of pertinent research on serial arson, serial homicide, rape, and crime paths. It is the bible of geographic profiling. You won't find a more informative, well-researched, or complete book anywhere.

A Book That Students Actually Read!
I use this book in my Geographic Profiling course and the students read it and keep it(they don't sell it after the final exam). The bibliography alone is worth the price of the book. Rossmo presents an excellent piece of cutting-edge research that is written to effectively communicate with a broad audience.

to the point
Living in Korea, I've seen and used several phrasebooks. In most respects, one is as good as another. But this one has the best elementary explanation of Korean grammar I've ever seen in a phrasebook; if you plan to be in Korea long enough to learn a little Korean, this will be the most helpful phrasebook that I know of.

The problem is that they created their own system of romanization and a few phrases in the book are presented in it but not in Korean. That is really annoying; the phrases are completely worthless unless you want to study LP's unique romanization.

GREAT BOOK!
I'm Korean. I live in Busan, South Korea.
And I bought this book. This book is very COOL.
This book is very useful for foreign tourist.
Why don't you visit to South Korea with this BOOK?
We always WELCOME! ^-^

Superb!!!
It all makes sense now! My adoptive daughter was born in Korea, so our whole family has been trying to learn a little Korean. But believe me, it wasn't easy.
However, this book's grammar and pronunciation sections did a great job of explaining things. The book is very well organized. I'd have to say it's the best such book on Korean I've seen.
Somehow they have come up with just about every possible expression you might need, which means the only drawback to the book is that it's a little thick.

Leadership and the Art of Conversation: Conversation As a Management Tool

It helps me understand and influence people everyday
This book is an easy read and has step by step techniques that are easy to use. It focuses on understanding distinctions of why people say something and then tries to help put it in a catagory that you can handle with a leadership decision to motivate and coach. Many times I was able glean powerful tools off just one page. I am just finishing my first year as a successful sales manager. Thank you Kim

You need not be a manager to read this gem!
Don't let the first chapter discourage you from reading this amazing book. Although written with managers in mind anyone can benefit from its wise statements. Krisco delivers all he promises in his introduction. You will learn about listening filters, coaching others, couching your ideas so that people will listen. This book is full of insights and pithy sayings that will make you reflect upon your whole life not just your work life. You will learn to understand the "little voice" in your head and learn about listening filters. This book will make you a leader. A leader is described by Krisco as someone who consistently produces extraordiny results. I just completed reading this book and intend to revisit it many more times. I highly recommend this extraordinary work!

Lucky to find this "should be" Best Seller
This book has ideas, concepts, and practical applications that should rank it up with THE SEVEN HABITS and THE FIFTH DISCIPLINE. But perhaps it is too small to be noticed by land-bound browsers, too casual for Kotter followers, and not avante guard enough for the Fast Company crowd.

You can't judge a book by its size, especially business books. So many authors take 600 pages to make the same point over and over with real world examples that suggest the author was "on the inside" as if we buy by the pound. Havard is the place to look for books grounded in theory and occasionally principal. And one out of twenty does influence business thinking. For the Fast Company crowd, a book offering scripts of what to say may sound too pedestrian. But for the seasoned leader looking to polish his skills, Krisco has just the buffer. And it is just the kind of book for beginners--not built on other theories, profound but not cumbersome. Like the Seven Habits, Leadership and the Art of Conversation rests on a few key ideas. One is a simple as you can't change the past. This is not a revelation but recognizing that is where most of us waste our primary tool for communication was an ah-ha for me. The straight-forward definition of leadership is free of concepts of power and more than hints at the core of leadership. Of course, to benefit from the book the reader will have to change deeper than a surface technique. Few are willing, as is usual when the rewards are great. Like Covey it puts the focus on the circle of influence by connecting today's conversation with what happens in the tomorrows. It's just a reminder that best sellers and best books are frequently two entirely different things. But hey, true leaders don't look for herds to follow. May this communication spark your interest in building a desireable future.

Eye opening.
It's such a good feeling knowing how things happen. Kim Todd has written an engaging, interesting, well researched eye opener of a book. And, just imagine, we (so called evironmentalists and experts) haven't yet learned the lesson of not "Tinkering with Eden". Truly a must read.

Tinkering with Eden
Tinkering with Eden: A Natural History of Exotics in America written by Kim Todd is a reading pleasure as the prose flow with a charm and delight. The book is written so well that each chapter feels like you've read a short story, but upon finishing the book you realize that everything you've been reading in the book all comes together.

Ever since Europeans and others have been arriving in North America they've been bringing flora and fauna from where they came from and brought back flora and fauna from North America to their homelands. When this occurs, there can be some dire consequences, some native species are crowded out of their natural environments as the new species takes over with no natural predator... that is no checks and balances.

The author is a storyteller, as she brings us these tales and others she interjects humors along with the science making for a very enjoyable read. Reindeer, lamprey, gypsy moths, starlings mosquitoes and pigeons can all be traced to other locations, but are now part and parcel of the American landscape.

I've enjoyed reading this book as I know you will. The author's writing style is excellent and has won the Pen/Jerred Award, so I'm not alone when I say that this book is illuminating and entertaining and the author has a terrific storytelling technique. There are a few illustrations added to this book to give it just the right amount of detail.

All in all, this was a very profound read that is wonderfully written, indeed.

Science combined with beautiful writing.
A wonderful work that combines diligent scholarship with a fluid and literary prose style. As each section informed me of the circumstances leading to and the effects resulting from the introduction of non-native species to a virgin environment, I found myself enchanted by the beauty of the language and the strength of the narrative flow. Each chapter reads like a literary short story.

An open mind is a clear mind.
This is a good book which illuminates what 'Shim Gum Do' is all about. It seems to be a standard exposition of Zen Buddhist views and values coupled with an interesting story of how Zen Master Chang Sik Kim was inspired through meditation in discovering his 'Art of Zen Sword'. Zen Master Chang Sik Kim is a former member of the Korean Buddhist 'Chogye' clergy, a celebant order, but obviously the founding master has modified that practice in Shim Gum Do as his book includes photographs of his wife and children. This book shows that the founding master is a serious, dedicated, and qualified Zen monk and his martial training is used as a form of dynamic meditation to complement sitting meditation, done from the excellent Korean point of view. Americans forget that fighting Buddhist monks are priests first, warriors last. And that the karate/kung fu/ho shin sul training conforms with the Zen precepts of cultivating a 'focused' mind and developing a strong sense of character and self-reliance. Zen Master Chang Sik Kim's book: The Art of Zen Sword, deftly draws out this message with photographs, drawings, ko-ang (koan)examples, philosophy, and fascinating anecdotal information from past Korean Zen masters. He also emphasized that humble work such as cooking and cleaning are equally important in the human devopment as the sword training, and that was impressive! After reading his book several times, I believe Shim Gum Do has a healthy future in the United States and Zen Master Chang Sik Kim should be congratulated for bringing his discovery to these shores.

This is a wonderful book and a really wonderful teacher.
This is a must read for any student of Martial Arts. It is so rare for new Martial arts traditions to be introduced, rarer still for them to be so rich in scope and technique and even more rare for the genius of the art to be alive, well and accessible to all who wish to meet and study with him.

I know the author as my teacher and friend. Read the book, then make the trip to Boston and meet the man. If you give him just a little of yourself, you will be rewarded with such an incredible shot of knowledge and ability in return, you will be left reeling with the enormity of the gift for the rest of your life.

Bahamas Flyfishing Bible
This is not only the definitive flyfishing guide to the Bahamas, but also (i) a very insightful book on logistics and non-fishing pursuits on the islands; and (ii) one of the finest fishing guides written for any area in the world, which is an especially great accomplishment given the span of the area. Read to plan, or just read to dream. Essential for anyone deciding on which island to go to, and which areas to fish. My only complaint? -- that I personally wasn't able to help research this book by visiting/fishing all areas covered.

The Bahamas Fly-Fishing Guide
I have traveled to the Bahamas on several ocassions on buisness as well as pleasure (fishing!). Prior to going and while I'm there, this book has provided valuable information and suggestions. Great refrence book!

Awesome even for non fishers
I bought this for my boyfriend who is a fishing freak for our trip to the Bahamas. I think I had more fun reading it than he did. These folks give so much information about the islands that I think it is a MUST for fishing widows and widowers. It changed our plans as to where to go and what to do. We fished and enjoyed other parts of the islands. I laminated the cover cause we wore it out.

The most romantic love we desired in a journey...
It is a great movie that we just can't miss it in our life. When a man meets a woman in the way like the movie goes, something is expected to happen. It is amazing that everything is so natual, so romantic.

The story makes me desiring a romantic love everytime I am in a journey...

It is pity that I miss the opening of the movie. I've tried to get the VCD of the picture but I can't make it in Hongkong. I can't find the book neither...

There're signs everywhere!
I was delighted by the movie, and immediately looked out for the book or anything related with it.

It's a subtle book, it shows in a very poetic way how communication can connect everyone. You can perceive it in every frame of the movie, is not casual that a location as Vienna has been choosen to develop the story.

Time, life, freedom, love, poetry, signs are important issues.

Excellent book to a great movie. Brilliant pictures.
Before Sunrise is one of my favorite movies of all time, and I can't imagine a better book to accompany it. What makes this book so great is that it does not contain the actual script, because I think the shots and technical description would just ruin the magic of the dialogue, which is the best thing about the movie. The pictures are brilliant (for they're not only copies of the film's shots), and the poem at the end of the book is simply a touch of genius. I lost the book, though. So I was wondering if anyone could help me find a copy. All expenses will be paid. Thanks!
