The book is filled with practical ideas and recommendations for everyday life for people with or without arthritis. It is a heartfelt attempt to help people through difficulties with a disease or with life.

This book is encouraging, practical, and easy to read. Kim offers many suggestions for outside sources to research and find what's best for each individual. I particulary like the "fill-in" pages at the end. Keep your own diary and keep your own valuable medical journal.

I also enjoy the light-heartedness, spiritual emphasis. This book is for anyone who endured the pain and even the embarassment of dealing with arthritis in any form.

We love this book, with it's great illustrations it is one of our favorites. A nice little story about not wanting to go to bed. I use it a lot before naptime, and try to equate the adventures the mouse has with dreaming and/or being imaginative while my two 1/2 year old is in her bed. I love the mouse tears and the creatures in the sea are delightful.

I love this book as much as my 2 1/2-year old daughter does. The illustrations are wonderful (Kim Fernandes does wonders with Fimo!!!) and the story is sweet. And appropriate for a toddler who is very tired but doesn't want to take a nap!

The recipes in this books are creative but simple. I recently took it along on a four day fishing trip to Lake Fontana where I cooked a "Brandy-Peppercorn" venison steak that everyone said was the best venison they had ever eaten! This is a book no outdoor sportsman should be without.

I recently received a copy of The Sporting Chef's Favorite WildGame Recipes and it is a great collection of recipes for all types ofwild game. Published by Arrowhead Classics, Inc., Leysath's book brings a new flavor to wild game. I have personally met Scott and can attest to the great taste his recipes bring to wild game. This is a "must buy" for anyone who hunts or just likes to eat wild game. We can enjoy the healthy benefits of wild game (lower in fat and free of hormones, etc) and also enjoy the flavor. Check it out!

An excellent examination of a poorly understood disorder. Few of us are able to distinguish between compulsive behavior and criminal acts. However, Dr.s Grant and Kim clearly show that people who suffer from compulsive urges are struggling with behavior they cannot control. This book is a comprehensive review of every aspect of the compulsive behaviors associated with uncontrollable urges to gamble, shop, steal, and have sex. Both those suffering from uncontrollable urges and their family and friends will benefit from the authors explanations of how to identify a compulsive disorder, possible causes and treatments, and resources for finding help. This was the first book I've found that focuses on the patient's own stories. Throughout the book I was struck by the authors' deep compassion for their patients and join their call to all doctors to familiarize themselves with the characteristics and current treatments for compulsive disorders. Just as many people have benefitted from the treatments described in this book, I am hopeful that a friend of mine will also regain health and happiness by reading this book. It may even save her life. This study also has important implications for the examination of other compulsive disorders and how we may be able to help many others take back control of their lives.

I have been searching for help my entire life. Having had lifelong problems with impulse control I have problems with relationships and even trouble with authorities occaisionally. No one would take me seriously labling me as weak or of low moral character. Having heard Dr Grant on television and radio speaking wih such empathy for Winona Ryder I new he could help me. I bought his book the instant it came out. I was imediately able to apply his techniques to my own life. I really feel I have taken control of my life for the first time. The book is so well written, full of keen insight and examples drawn from Dr Grant's clinical practice. It is about time someone took my problems seriously.

Thank for your book. Around me, personally I know that there are four poeple died on the sea during the trip escape from vietnam. My sister, She came on boat and we never have any information about her again. My highschool teacher. After the summer we could not find him in our school and my friend told he was death on a trip escape to Hong Kong. And a litle girl next to my door she was just 4 year olds her mother could not save her from death because they was out of food when their ship was lost on the sea. Many many young girls was raped by Thailan robbers then killed. Sometime I wanna look up the sky and ask who cause all the pain for many generations. Sometime I just feel really hunger for the revenge. My English is not good but one thing I am sure that It is good enough to show my appriciation to your work.

I found myself wanting to jump inside the book to try and help; but the only thing I could do was, keep reading. Great book! I purchased this book because I have a student who was recently diagnosed with diabetes. I wanted the class to understand what their classmate was going through and to answer any questions they may have. I truly believe that educating children on issue such as this will help enhance their lives as well as the child who is experiencing it first hand. Thanks Kim, for a wonderful book for all ages!!

My daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes three years ago. Every year since, I've asked her teachers to let her read this book to the class at the beginning of the year. This is a great tool for the other children to understand what Diabetes is, why my daughter gets special snacks at special times, but most importantly it lets them know that she is just like every other kid. Having Diabetes is hard enough on children without the added stress it can cause at school. I encourage all parents who are in my position to make this book a part of your school education efforts. It shouldn't replace the training materials and meetings, but addresses the often overlooked element of how to help the child with Diabetes fit into the classroom.

Insoo Kim Berg and Yvonne Dolan have taken the yarns of solution- focused brief therapists throughout the world, added a few threads of their own, and ingeniously illuminated the heart and soul of "Brief Therapy". This is the first book I would recommend to anyone interested in the pioneering work of Insoo Kim Berg and Steven deShazer.

What is artfully communicated in this sparse volume shakes the traditional notions of our most commonly held beliefs of how we approach and treat mental disorders no matter how severe. The good news is that the linguistic assumptions, philosophy, and approach are readily teachable. Dolan and Berg should be inducted into the Mental Health Hall of Fame for giving us these lasting, golden memories deeply, imbedded in rich stories. Read, try this respectful approach, and expect to be moved.

This is a wonderful book about Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), an approach to helping troubled people which might revolutionize psychotherapy. SFBT helps clients change by helping them to construct solutions rather instead of dwelling on problems. It is a highly respectful and highly effective approach .... This well written book shows many examples of what SFBT can do.

This book makes you understand, learn, think and treat spinal problems in a racional way.

This represents a substantial improvement from the first edition, which was a good text in it's own right. The subject matter is more complete, and virtually every topic has been updated. I recommend it highly.

The words and photographes in this book perfectly expressed the feelings that I wanted to express to my boyfriend of three years.

This book found the words I wanted to express but never could think of. The pictures are so cute. They bring tears to the eyes. They are sweet without romantic connotations. The book is perfect not for just significant others, but also friends, family members, and roommates. =D

I felt the book started very well in order to pull the reader into the times and circumstance of the characters. It was very inlightening as to how disabled people were thought of and treasted during the time that Jesus was on this earth. Even though the book wasn't about Jesus, I think seeing his effect on the characters of the book gave me a much better understanding of why the people treated Him the way they did. I felt it was very well written and kept my interest. Upon finishing the book I really would like to see her do a second book to continue the story of Merian.

This book gave me the word pictures and feelings of the time of Jesus and what it must have been like for ordinary people to ponder who He was and is. I grew up in a legalistic background and Kim presented well the difference in the law of religion and the love that comes from the Man to change lives.
