A Must-Read for Training Staff in Healthcare
The book was required for our training staff. It provided our newer trainers with lots of ideas and our more senior staff with great new information as well. We were so excited to see a handbook designed specifically for healthcare. We are using the assessments and worksheets already.

Roadmap to Success
It's about time someone gave us a step-by-step approach to delivery training in the unique world of healthcare. This book is well organized with lots of tips, tools and assessments that can be used right away. It examines the major trends we face daily in the healthcare world. It explores everything from how to do a needs assessment, to how to design training to overcoming obstacles. This is a must read for every training department in healthcare!

Great book for beginners
What a great book! My son who is in kindergarden wanted to read a book by himself and this one is just right for him. He is so excited each time he reads it and needs less and less help each time. The gold stars add great encouragement. I highly recommend this book.

My son just loves this book...
My son, who is 3, "reads" this book every night before bed. I had originally read it to him, but now he's got it memorized, so he "reads" it himself. I love the book for the simplicity of the story and the rhythm of rhyming. I plan on buying this entire series.

Award Winner for Book Design
This book has received an Award of Excellence for book design in the 2001 Southern Books Competition. "Lovely green cloth binding opens to stunning title page typography that sits upon faint leaves. The typographic design is classic without being boring. Details, like the screened-back ornaments on the Contents page speak to the refinement of the design." Congratulations to the author and illustrator, designer Ellen McKie, and the University of Texas Press.

Answers to all your questions about how to make more plants
If you are serious about learning more about plants, all forms of propogation, then this is the book for you. It gets technical, but again, if you are serious, then you can figure it out. Comprehensive, well organized, good drawings, good glossary (no pronunciation guide though)and good index. A must have reference. Thanks to Ms Nokes.

charming
I have been reading this book to our grandchildren since our first grandchild was born - he is now 19 years of age(he was four or five when I bought the book). Our youngest is now two and a half years old. It's a fun book to read with the children and my way of letting them all know how thankful I am for each and every one. I highly recommend it to any Grandma out there.

Pleasing little book for nearly every grandmother to give
Charming illustrations of grandchildren interacting with their grandmother in common activities such as baking cookies, a zoo trip, talking on the phone, playing a game etc. Grandmothers and children of different ethic backgrounds are portrayed which broadens the scope of the book even further. Hugs and hand holding are pictured to enhance the overall feelings of love and caring. Every child would feel extra special receiving this little gem from a loving grandmother.

Good, clear information
A very broad but useful reference book about illustrating for fashion. Real hints and tips and a real analysis of what is required when illustrating. The clear categories and breakdowns, like the media techniques and fabric representation sections are very useful. The use of sketch books and working drawing sections are helpful to students. A very thorough book.

Comprehensive 'how to' guide.
Absolute must for any fashion student, packed with illustrations and guides for producing better drawings. Inside professional knowledge. All good stuff, order yourself one!

In Bloom 2002 Engagement Calendar

Beautiful!
This is third year I've used the In Bloom calenders, and I hope they never stop publishing them. I don't know what I'd do without the absolutely beautiful pictures of flowers on my desk. The calender format is clear and has plenty of space to write on.

Treat Yourself!
If you are a busy working mom like me and you have a million daily things to do, this engagement calendar is a pleasure. Each page features an exquisite floral treat for the eyes, and what I like best is that the spaces provided for notation of appointments are unlined (I need that) and big enough to see what I have written.

I keep it at the office, so that I don't confuse my personal appointments with my business deadlines. Each Monday I walk into my work space, turn the page to the new week, behold a gorgeous picture, and invariably mouth the words, "oh no," as I realize I have to take my son to the orthodontist and the cat to the vet right after work!

Nevertheless, one of my tiny pleasures is to deliberately keep from turning the page until the new week begins. I never look ahead, so that each picture is a treat. Try it!

A must have for foodservice professionals!
This book is written in an unintimidating style and presents clear and concise nutritional information. It features a renewed excitement for cooking recipes that not only look good, and taste good, but have the added bonus of being good for you! Unlike other cookbooks on nutrition, this book highlights the excitement of cooking and removes the stigma typically assoiated with nutritional cooking. A must have for professionals and gourmands alike! This book is instrumental for the new generation of culinary students.

Great recipes & healthful cooking techniques anyone can use
This is a terrific book, especially for the cook who wants to know more about healthful cooking techniques. I have applied these techniques to the foods that my family & I enjoy. The book offers a wide range of recipes that are unique, interesting, and fun to prepare. There is a section on nutrition that explains healthful eating in easy-to-understand terms. Also a section on wine with food. I loved this book, it is written in a friendly tone with a great deal of personal insight on food from the authors. Most of all the recipes are superb!

Better than "Grendel"
After my initial dissapointment, (This book is not about the John Gardner who wrote the post Ian Fleming James Bond novels) I came to embrace this amazing book. Never has so much perspective been shoe-horned into such a space. The real gem in this book is the work of Kathy Vanspanckeren, whose winning personality and wit is evident on each page.

Vanspanckeren is the star here!
Robert Morace and John Gardner maybe be the big names that will draw in the public, but the real superstar work here is the work of Kathryn Vanspanckeren. She could edit the pants off a bonobo--and I've seen her do it! Her critical perspectives on John Gardner are so critical and perspective that they should be separated, expanded upon (maybe proof-read) and placed in a larger book, preferably with a picture of a her on the front. Because, as most publishers know, all the best books have pictures of chicks on the front.
