Hope
This is a wonderful book for anyone and any age. It can inspire us and give us all comfort knowing that the "grandfather" in the sky cares for all of us. It is an easy read told through the words of the elders. It is a very wonderful book and is a reminder of how we are all God's children. I highly recommend it!!!

Perfectly written.
Wonderful! If you are looking for an uplifting book without it being preachy, this is the one you want.
Historically accurate, imaginative, and well researched.
The cover art is beautiful.
The content is wonderful; it would be a great book for a multi-cultural class.

Prophetic
Further evidence that God speaks to man and would free us from superstition and fear, this is a story for adult and child in every nation and culture. Its narrative allows the reader to sit with Inupiaq Elders and experience the oral tradition of American native culture. I'm currently reading it to my six-year-old, a real critic.

Mark of the New World Order
This is one of the most prolific books Terry has written. The information included is based on real investigations into areas most people would not know how to begin getting into.

I know Terry personally, and his abilities as an investigator really come out in his writtings. The information in Mark of the New World Order will help anyone to understand how far we have come toward the full implimentation of Big Brother. Terry writes as well as he speaks, and anyone hearing his seminars would be as excited about his information in person as they would be in reading this highly informative work.Terry, keep up to great work!

Mind-boggling
I couldn't put it down! Informative, comprehensive, easy-to-read, and well documented, "Mark" is probably the best book I've read on the possibilities of end-time government control. The technology is all ready, and after reading the book, one is compelled to admit that we may be closer than we think to total Big Brother control. Well worth reading.

one of the most important books today for our future.
its one of the best books in this day and age. it tells it like it is. im well pleaseed with this book. it opens up things that i was never aware of with our goverment. and yes its true about this new world order how there all set up now and they been ready. terry talks about controlling and tracking man kind rich or poor old young. this book you have to read. you will know more now than you did all your life after reading this book. the new world order.

Meditations for life The Wisdom of Women
Terry brings the wisdom of women from all walks of life into your heart and your home. Gently he makes you think about how they aproached life, and just how that can impact your life. He brings a smile to your face in many cases, other times healing tears. I have found so many times a simple comforting phrase to get me through the day.

A Must Have Book of Meditations!
Although this is a book that focuses on the "Wisdom Of Women", it's a must read, again, and again, for anyone who's seeking a sense of serenity...The meditations are empowering, insightful and healing and when taken to heart contribute greatly to feelings of balance & peace.

I look forward to more of Dr. Terry's writing...

For open hearts and minds
This book is a treasure. I have a copy for myself and I've given many as gifts for my special friends. It is a book that celebrates our connection to all things, the positive and goodness that is within us all. I enjoy the timelessness of the quotes balanced with the inspiration of affirmative prayer. The book also has an appendix referencing a short bio of each woman quoted and an index of meditations by situation. This book is not just for women, but for all who have open minds and hearts. It's an excellent source of meditation and wonderment.

hands-on review
This book, is very detailed but very user-friendly.It covers basic cardiac anomilies to the more detailed,(not so common)anomolies as well as signs and symptoms. This book covers adult as well as some pediatrics. Listed in alpphabetical order, they are easily accessed. The last section covers all formulas and methods, with calculations.
The book is a little large for pocket use, measuring approximately 9x5 inches. Enjoy, RDR

The best echo reference
Great tables of normal/abnormal values and diagnostic criteria (more complete than Otto and Mayo manual). Especially useful for practical echo reporting. The book does assume a basic working knowledge of echocardiography: beginner should use this book in conjunction with the Otto or Mayo text.

The Real guide for Echocardiographers...
A fantastic format for echocardiographers and cardiac fellows. The book is well put together with real life values that are easy to understand. Terry's book is for those who perform echocardiograms and need an accurate, consise, guide to refer to.

Excellent resource for older males
Terry has written a landmark book for men who are entering the last phase of their life. It is an excellent handbook for tapping into the Elder within you, practical exercises and suggestions for being an effective Elder.

Highly recommended !...

The Elder Within
In a society where father-hunger is of epidemic proportions and where retirement is commonly viewed as self-indulgent withdrawal, Terry Jones' vision of eldership is enormously important. Drawing on the rich history of eldership in other ages and cultures, Jones calls men to an egalitarian, non-patriarchal "mature masculinity" which is life-giving not only to men but also to women, children and the planet. I hope this book will be widely read and its message given embodiment.

The Elder Within
The Elder Within provides insights and tools for men to connect with younger generations and equally important, to pass on a living legacy. This book continues to give me much to think about, as it challenges men to act in making a positive difference with present and future generations.

a good start - but a thorough review is in order
I used this field guide during my recent trip to Kenya and Uganda. Although it is by all means an excellent fieldguide I do have some remarks. A number of the plates contained errors, suggesting the artists didn't see these birds in the field. I realise it is virtually impossible for artists to see all species featured in a book such as this in the field, so that a lot of plates are drawn from skins. It is important however to use skins from the region itself, this may make a lot of difference. We came to the conclusion that for a number of species skins from west Africa were used. Especially the greenbuls had some misleading plates. For a number of species the Kenyan Zimmerman-book is probably better, although those plates lack in other respects.
In addition a number of the maps were incorrect, especially for Uganda.
Still, if you go to the region for birding, make sure to get this book, because it is definitely the best field guide around.

The perfect field guide!
This book really sets a very high standard and we can only hope other parts of the world's tropics will get similar guides in due time. The plates are just about as superb as one could possibly wish for. When you compare this book with the new field guides that have recently come out for South America, it seems like there are two worlds! Just compare the flamingos, the osprey, or the parrots with the pictures you find in "The Field Guide to the Birds of Peru" and you know what I mean! There is also an excellent lay-out, with helpful concise text and useful range maps all neatly placed together. And the book is still amazingly compact.

Fabulous new East African bird book.
After years of having one of the world's worst bird books, East Africa now has two of the best. The Zimmerman/Turner book on Kenya and Northern Tanzania, the work of 30 years, set a new standard of scholarship and illustration. This book draws on that one, but is even better for the tourist and field birder. It covers all of Uganda and Tanzania, as well as Rwanda and Burundi. It is smaller and lighter to carry. And the illustrations and their placement in related groups on the same page are simply outstanding. This is one of the best bird books in the world and will dominate the market for years to come.

Great book
I love this book! It is written with the words both in English and Spanish. It is short, sweet and so comfortiing. It's also great for discussing diversity, even in one's own family. My daughter and I love to read this at bedtime.

Wonderful Hairs
Hairs Pelitos by Sandra Cisernos is an excellent resource for early childhood educators and parents. It is a bilingual story that describes the differences between family members' hair. It offers children the experience of diversity within one's own family and how we can accept the differences within our own family. As a teacher, the concept of diversity can be extended from family to community and beyond. The language is beautiful and can be used to demonstrate to children how a writer uses descriptive language. The story captures an up-close look at one example of wonder..how simple things mean a lot. Children can pull from their own family rituals, similarities and differences to write their own story.

a warm tale
Hairs- Pelitos, is a poetic short story about the various heads of hair in a family. Mama's is the most wonderful as it carries with it the odor of fresh baked bread, a smell the narrator associates with being close to mama. Difficult to capture in a short review, I recommend this book to those who appreciate poetry and lyricism within a short story for children. It is especially wonderful how appreciated the mother is in the story, and how cherished. My three year old finds it touching.

Not bad for a sales book.
I don't normally like sales books but this one was actually pretty good. There are quite a few suggestions he makes which are actually good. He covers everything from writing proposals to handling objections. This book is written in simple terms, so simple that a lot of sales people overlook them. You may not read the entire thing from cover to cover but I'm sure you take away a few hints to help you with your sales.

The most common sense you'll ever read.
Forget everything you ever read or heard about the overly complex sales process. Beck distills the complex sale and what you should be doing to execute on every facet of the process to a very Nike'ese "just do it". He includes real world examples and aligns them into practical approaches for selling. If your a soaring eagle sales person the advice given by Beck may seem like a dose of common sense but the book is a refreshing dose of reality for either the seasoned road warrior, the newbe or anyone inbetween.

Highly Recommended!
Terry Beck's selling wisdom is practical and based in common sense. Many of the suggestions here pertain to the most basic of all sales traits: persistence. It's refreshing to hear a sales guru say simply that it's a salesman's basic job to make the call, and he has no one but himself to blame if he doesn't. The advice here is grounded in hard work: show initiative, do your homework, know your product, cater to your customer, be yourself and don't make phony pitches. More distinctively, Beck corrects a lot of myths that actually harm your ability to make a sale. Of course, if you're a weathered sales veteran this information is not exactly breaking news. But if you're always looking to sharpen up your skills - and in this day and age you should be - we [...] recommend this well organized and conversational manual.

MindStretch 2002 Day-To-Day Calendar

Great Calender
Terry Stickles has done it again! His 2002
mind stretch puzzle calender contains a wide
variety of logic, math and word puzzles.
It is a continuation of his "so you think your
smart" book.

Great Fun
I just received the calendar for Christmas. Once everyone had left, I opened it up and got hooked. I know I'm supposed to do one a day, but I was having too much fun trying to solve all the puzzles. I got mid-way through February in that sitting. My 13 year old nephew came over and we worked on them together. It was good, thinking fun. I recommend it highly.

Mindstretch 2002 has broad appeal
I just visited Nashville on Thanksgiving and was in the Kidd Bookstore there and saw the page-a-day calendar section, and there was Terry Stickels' "Mindstretch". It wasn't an accident that Terry's calendars were almost all gone, while his competition was still well-stocked.

I've been following Terry Stickels ever since he hit the earth's atmosphere somewhere back in the early '90s - I might even have bought his first calendar. His latest - the 2002 Mindstretch - which I already own and have peeked ahead for 365 days, will definitely be included in his greatest hits album should he ever actually land on earth and choose to do one. Why? Because there are puzzles for every appetite - Type A...type whatever personality...spatial, math, words , and puzzlers that lure us into connecting synapses we didn't even realize we had. Mindstretch 2002 is the easy answer for anyone on your gift list who needs to get connected.
