This book is useless - save your money!
What a disappointment! This book was hardly a "complete manual" of anything - it was small, poorly written and had no original ideas. This guy is no Heyduke.

Definitely unique
This bokk will get you immagination to run wild. This stuff is so much fun! You've gotta get this one!

Don't waste your money!
The trial transcripts are available on line (for free!!!!!). Imagine that, you can get an unbiased take on the evidence! Van Pelt gives very compelling testimony (unlike some of the other highly paid "witnesses" for the defense) but why pay him again for it?

Brilliant and long-overdue
A fascinating look at a trial which brought to light the nefarious and underhanded way in which Holocaust deniers and revisionists twist the facts of history. A must-read for history buffs, truth seekers, and legal eagles.

The graphics and illustrations add NO value.
The graphics, illustrations and figures add no value to the book. They confuse the reader and distract their attention away from the authors points. I would not recommend reading this book unless the graphics were removed.

Good book worth the money
I disaggree with the previous reviewer. The book is a nice, concise, and reasonably deep treatment of the topic. Thinking about it, with its 1996 publication date, this is one of the books that existed on the topic of CRM BEFORE it became such a big buzz word. Recommended.

Would you like to solve a mystery? Well Jigsaw Jones did in The Case of the Great Sled Race. It was written by James Preller. In this book I learned not to steal. I liked this book because I like mystery.

standard casebook, no real fireworks!
This casebook contained all the usual cases that are typical in a patent law/intellectual property casebook. Unfortunately, there should have been more content which described the patent process as well as the patent prosecution procedure in order to allow the reader to fit the case law into the appropriate scheme of things.

Text review of Ethics and the Conduct of Business
The text was very informative, although I was disappointed in the instructional nature of the book. I am recently finishing a business ethics course in college where this book is our class text. It would have been extremely helpfull if there had been an end of section review with test questions to challenge a students learning and understanding of the subject matter. Otherwise, as stated before, the book was rather informative and the case studies were interesting.

Computer Law: Cases, Comments, Questions: 1996 Supplement (American Casebook Series)
Published in Paperback by West Information Pub Group (1996)
Authors: Peter B. Maggs, John T. Soma, and James A. Sprowl
Amazon base price: $19.90
Average review score:

Not bad for a pioneer "computer law" text
I used this casebook for my Computer Law class in 1996, and even then we had tons of supplements because of the rapidly evolving law with the growth of the internet. Still, the text is a good starting place for examining intellectual property rights associated with computers and software, privacy, and anti-trust concerns. Can a second edition be too far behind?
