Got Acid-Base Anxiety? Buy This Book!
With this marvelous book, Dr Abelow has proven himself to be the proverbial "Bill Nye, The Science Guy" of Acid Base. Understanding Acid-Base is the perfect book for medical students, residents, and anyone hoping to gain a thorough understanding of Acid-Base quickly and painlessly! The text is clear, beautifully written, and surprisingly interesting. It reads fast, and - like Costanzo's Physiology - seems to anticipate your questions as you read along (the sign of a great teacher). Buy this book, AND KEEP IT! You'll find yourself going back to it again and again.
Medical Student Review
ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! The epitome of what an introductory medical text should be. Very clear and concise. This should be required reading for Internal Medicine, Pulmonary/ICU, and Nephrology.

Top ghost romance - Gina Wilkins again delivers a great read
A Valentine wish is Anna Cameron's story. She and her twin brother Ian have been ghosts staying at the Cameron inn for 75 years since the day they both were murdered on their 25th birthday. Their late mother's wish after their birth on Valentine's day was they both shall find a love as great as their parents' - otherwise they won't leave this world. Dean Gates, the new owner of the Cameron inn, is the only one who can see Anna. He tries to solve the mystery behind their deaths and falls in love with the beautiful and charming ghost. Ian's story is A Wish For Love, don't miss it.
Gina Wilkins is one of my favorite authors. Her writing is beautiful and humorous, I have yet to read a book by her that I don't like. Thanks for some pleasant reading hours, Gina.

A Valentine Wish
I read this novel a few years ago and I cannot stop thinking about it. I thought that it was a wonderful story, both sad and endering. I really loved it and when I found out that there was a part two called "A Wish For Love" I searched everywhere for it but i could not find a copy. I only recently found out that it was out of print. I would love to read the second novel about the twin brother, I'm sure it will be as great as the first one. Thank you!

A Great Book on Blackwork!
This book is very well written. It includes not only basics for the beginner, but wonderful charts for the experienced stitcher to work from. There is a brief history of blackwork. The section covering materials and equipment needed does a good job of briefly covering the items most commonly available to all stitchers. Other sections include: laying out a design, choosing fabric, tips on stitches and framing your finished piece. There are around 100 charts in the book including fill-in patterns, borders, and an alphebet. All in all, a great source book.

Descktop reference No-1 for haematopathologist.
It is the most usefull and practical book about bone marrow pathology that I ever read. It includes allmost all disease entities (malignant and non-malignant) that pathologis is facing in his daily diagnostical peripheral blood and bone marrow investigations. Every entity is described in great detail, separetely concentrating on cytology of peripheral blood, cytology and histology of bone marrow. This is quit unique way of entity descriptions and I think it is very usefull, because it gives to the reader complete and integrated picture of cytological and histological findings. Many other books about the bone marrow pathology does not say anything about the cytology of peripheral blood. There are few things hovewer, that could be delt in more detail. One of such things is that, there is to little comments on differential diagnosis. The other thing is that pictures could also be of better quallity. Despite those few missing things, this book is No1. descktop reference for pathologist who is in charge of daily bone marrow investigations.

Excellent
I work at a Cherokee historic site and I highly recommend this book. It reads like a novel and is gripping! By far the most in-depth, unbiased work written on the "Trail of Tears". If you buy no other Cherokee history book, buy this one!

Nothing spectacular to write home about. When I bought this book, I was hoping for the old radio dramas that I used to listen to when I was a kid on Sunday nights. I will say that there were some very good stories. But a few left you rather wanting.

A Sweet Love Story
From the back of the book: "Dana Preston was wary when Cody Carson proposed a temporary engagement - even if it was just a prank on his meddling, matchmaking family. But although he never could have guessed why, a fake fiance was just what she needed right now.
Dana never expected to love Cody's family so much, or for them to be so thrilled at his choice in a bride. So when he discovered her secret and offered a real wedding, Dana had an impossible choice. Could she spend her life with a man she loved - and who would be the perfect husband - but who might only be doing the honorable thing?"
This book is a continuation (Part 4) of Gina Wilkins' "Family Found" series. Dana's Grandmother, Granny Fran, continues to play matchmaker to great success. A delightful read!

It has several appendixes which include rules of hyphenation [admittedly not used much nowadays with word-wrap computer programs] and another on medical prefixes, suffixes and combining forms.
This 1996 Second Edition book is an excellent reference source. As a full-time medical transcriptionist, I have used it frequently and can vouch for its comprehensiveness.
