This book is great! It's about three boys growing up through a year. Each chapter is about a month. It's entertaining and has some values, and even though it's old-fashioned, readers of all ages can enjoy this book!

This is the best veggy book I have seen.
I checked this book out of my local library. So much veggy food all looks the same, this book wowed me. I stick post it notes on the pages I plan to use. 33 recipes looked good enough to try. In most cook books, if I get 3 or 4 good recipes I am glad I bought the book. I returned the book to the library and bought a copy. Good book. Good food

Uneven Ground: American Indian Sovereignty and Federal Law

A must have for those interested in Native American studies
This is a well-researched, highly readable, yet scholarly treatment of a timely subject that is sure to attract attention in the coming years. The authors review often competing legal precedents in Federal law as they relate to Indian legal issues and find that inconsistencies, including varied interpretations together with the age old imbalance of power, has resulted in justice for American Indians being built on a bed of sand that is unfair, unpredictable, and in need of clarification. The book includes a thorough discussion on the Doctrine of Discovery, the Trust Doctrine, the Doctrine of Plenary Power, and the Doctrine of Soverign Immunity and is highly recommended for those readers interested in this expanding area of Native American studies. These are the kind of issues that led to the Wounded Knee disaster of the 1970s.

A delightful romance!
I liked the chocolate theme of this book. I thought Meryl's story of Kyle and Alexis was the best. It's a fast-paced read that makes you wish the story had been longer.

Wonderful book of memories
This is a great book that reminds me of visiting my own grandmother's home and finding great treasures. The author of this book, my husband's great-aunt, wrote this story about his sister. The artistic detail and the story together take you back to times long gone but not forgotten.

One of the Most Important events in American History
--The War Between the United States and Mexico-- is a work by George Willkins Kendall and has been beautifully illustrated by Carl Nebel. The work in question, is a testimony to American expansionism, and narrates in detail each battle fought in Mexican soil.

Carl Nebel dedicated several years to illustrate the events of the Mexican American War and followed the traveling footsteps of Alexander Von Humboldt in Mexico. Nebel provides a magnificent illustration of one of the most important and hardbreaking moment of Mexican History: September 14, 1847 - the ocupation of The Zocalo.

A very important historical work that helps to understand with great detail and from a different perspective an all important moment in American History. An event that certainly changed the U.S. not only by adding vast new territories (California, New Mexico, Nevada, Colorado, Arizona, Utah, and Wyoming), but also by taking the first steps on becoming a superpower.

One to remembrer
As a child, "We Like Kindergarten" was one of the first books I read. It is one that has stuck with me through out the years and one I was hoping to share with my children, nieces and nephews.

It is beneficial in calming the fears of children who are ready to enter Kindergarten and experience a crucial change in their social and developmental growth.

A challenge that forces its reader to reexamine his/her life
If God were your guest, posing questions across the dinner table, then how would you answer? Author Richard Wilkins envisions the possible questions of God, as a test to improve one's spiritual self-awareness. The thought-provoking questions in this book, such as 'Do you pray as much to thank as to receive?' and 'Do you use the past as a library or a home?' give pause and inspiration. When God Asks is a challenge that forces its reader to reexamine his or her life for the better.

Wilkins' tooth
The revenge business (or "own back" business) isn't as easy as the two main characters - Frank and Jess find in this funny novel. As the story progresses they discover that people around them are not what they seem. Their main enemies are Buster with his (black and blue swearword) gang, and Biddy Iremonger. Diana Wynne Jones uses her usual twists and turns, with false leads and many problems caused by just one tooth. Frank and Jess end up trying to solve alot more than one puzzle. Great story!

Well done!
I bought three W98 Registry books and this one is hands down the best. Much better organized than Worem's book. The CD is good and the foldout registry map is *great* (wish it could be bigger tho??). The style is easygoing and so far every tip I've tried seems to work. Job well done.
