Easy reading with some real good tips
If I only find 1 or 2 really good tips from a book, I'd consider the price worth it. There aren't 175 great tips here, but there are at least 50! I've been doing Netware for 9+ years and this book gave me some new insights into troubleshooting and optimizing. Absolutely worth the price and the evening spent reading it.

A great step-by-step method to solve and prevent problems!
Of all of my NetWare books this one has helped me the most on the job. Other books were theory, this one tells you why a problem happened and how to keep it from happening in the future. If you could only keep 3 books on your desk, make this one two of the 3, because one copy will be borrowed by someone and having the other copy will keep you from having to spend too much time looking for it.

Devoted to "devotion"
"devotion" is a haunting story about the horrific struggle of losing love, and how the mind reels with thought. the main character, Richard is completely distraught about losing his girlfriend, Hannah (referred to as "H"). He is not sure why she has left, which hurls him into a deep pit of depression and confusion, causing him to detach himself from the rest of the world. He quits his job, stops bathing, and becomes completely obsessed with writing about his hopes and fears about "H", which he is sure she will someday read. The one thing that keeps him going is his certainty of her return to him. It is sometimes hard to differentiate whether the true author, Strauss, or the character, Richard, is writing at a specific time. It may take a few times reading the same page to follow what's going on, but it's well worth it! This is one book that will definetly keep your mind working...

words fail me...
A reviewer on the back cover compared this novel to "a sculpture by Giacometti -- clean, pared-down, and without a shred of unnecessary flesh." It is small, but *dense*. Several parts of this book continue to haunt my internal dialogues, although I read the book five months ago. It is really a pity the English translation of Devotion has run out of print. If the rest of his writing is this good, I'm enrolling in the next semester of courses at the Goethe Institute chiefly to read his work.

This is really the definative picture of an introvert. Better than "Notes from the Underground", better than "Steppenwolf." Believe me, Strauss is that good. After reading this book, at first I thought someone had invaded the most intimate part of my brain, now I wonder if maybe we all have these thoughts at certain times, but chose to hide them as best we can

Srong characters carried the book. A good read.
I really enjoyed getting to know all three of the heroines throughout the sections of the book. Summer was such a strong character.

Loved those sisters!
I am a big fan of Gina Wilkins--especially her earlier works. This is a great collection of the trio of sisters and their heroes. Lots of vulnerability and romance from the guys and lots of confusion and loving from the gals. I highly recommend this book

Quick Look Drug Book
As a medical transcriptionist, there are many times when a doctor will say the name of a drug incorrectly or I cannot quite understand what the doctor is saying. In the Quick Look Drug Book, there is a section in the back of the book called the Indication/Therapeutic Category Index. In this section, you can look up the patient's diagnosis and it will list the medications used for that illness. Most of the time I am able to determine what drug the doctor is referring to by using this method. It has saved me a lot of time and effort over the years. I highly recommend this book if you are a medical transcriptionist.

When Does Edition 2000 Come Out?
Great book! Use it a lot, but would like to have the latest vesion..

You can get vertual experiences in Pulmonary Medicine
This book mentioned case studies for medical students, residents, pulmonary fellows, internists, and other health professionals. The readers can get vertual experiences in Pulmonary Medicine. This book will be your strong weapon to solve the problem in your medical practice. Enjoy your vertual medical experiences with this literature for the treatment of your patients with respiratory illness!

Clear explanations of disease processes
I am a Respiratory Therapy student and I have found this book very helpful. Each chapter presents a specific disease and starts with a full description of that disease process which is then followed by a case study. The reader is provided with information about the "patient" and is then asked questions. There are answers to those questions immediately following. This book has really helped me to understand several diseases and I would recommend it for any respiratory pathophysiology class.

Was worth ordering from England.
If you are looking for great new gothic horror, this is it. Order it immediately. Far better than Anne Rice. It is long and sumptuous. If there is a fault, she, too, is over-indulgent with her protagonists, but they are real and engaging, not cartoonish like Lestat. Her other works, The Infernal, and The Resurrectionists, are also great.

This book is the best.
I read this book twice because it was so good. It is a great msytery novel & I would recommend it too anyone interested in msytery novels. There are twists & turns, all unpredictable.
It's one of my favourite books.

My new best friends
The reviewer below has it all wrong. The wonderful thing about this book is precisely all that character building: reading this book is like making 3 new best friends as well as getting lost in a fabulous Gothic tale. And as for the writing, it's so moody and lush. This could have been 200 pages longer and I still would have enjoyed it (wallowed in it, actually)!

WHAT..........................?!
Although I've not read this book, I've caught Agapi's presentation on public TV. Cute, but has anyone heard of Edith Hamilton?

reminds me alot of jean shinoda bolen's book...
the author covered in this book the exact same goddesses jean shinoda bolen covered in her book goddesses in every woman. am i saying one is better than the other? no,i am not because they are different this book shows us how to communicate with these goddesses. bolen's book teaches us which goddess our personality is most like. i reccomend both these books very highly.

Goddess wisdom from a worthy bearer!
This is a profoundly moving and beautiful study of Greek goddess archetypes that I wish I had written! Like Ms. Stassinopoulos, I have been fascinated by Greek mythology from childhood. Although my scholastic background is in Russian language and literature, I have studied ancient Greek and minored in classical studies when I got my BA at Reed College, which features a rigorous year-long course on Greece, Rome, and the Middle Ages that is mandatory for all freshmen. My lifelong desire to visit Greece was finally realized two years ago when my husband and I spent our tenth anniversary touring Athens and the Greek Islands.

I now work for the City of West Hollywood and continue to find seemingly infinite applications for goddess wisdom. In March of this year I based a well-received Women's History Month presentation upon Ms. Stassinopoulos' book. I adapted this talk for the American Biographical Institute/International Biographical Centre's 27th Millennium Congress on Arts and Communications in Washington, DC which was attended by delegates from 44 nations. The Women of Achievement panel was held on Independence Day (how apropos!) and the illuminating discussions of Artemis, Athena, and Hestia found in CONVERSATIONS WITH THE GODDESSES served to ground my scholastic and civic accomplishments. Women (and men) from all over the world responded with almost overwhelming enthusiasm to these timeless insights and Ms. Stassinopoulos can be assured that Hestia's torch is being carried into the new millennium by these global citizens. This was one of the peak experiences of my professional life and I am sure that CONVERSATIONS will be of similar benefit to many other readers.

As an activist I especially appreciated Ms. Stassinopoulis' many references to 19th- and 20th-century feminists. I found the illustrations and literary reflections to be an especially valuable feature of this wondrous book, which I cannot recommend highly enough and will give as a gift to all the important women in my own life.

Good, but it's not Netter
I used Grant's Atlas of Anatomy during my gross anatomy class in medical school because it was the one recommended by the staff. It was fairly good, but not great. The illustrative pages on the twelve cranial nerves are perhaps the best. A few years after finishing that class, I found that Frank Netter M.D. had finally come out with an atlas of human anatomy. If your budget is limited (and most medical students have limited finances), buy Frank Netter's Atlas of Human Anatomy because it is hands down the best atlas available. I wish it would have been around when I was struggling through first year gross anatomy class. Grant's Atlas may supplement it to some degree if you are looking for a second presentation for variety, but Netter's is without question unequaled. Beyond this, if you ever decide to specialize in a medical field involving surgery - neurosurgery, gynecology, general surgery, orthopedics etc. - you will have opportunity to continue using Netter's A! tlas after medical school, whereas Grant's Atlas isn't very good in this regard. In short: buy Netter. If you want another text to go with the first, Grant's Atlas isn't bad.

"Grant's Atlas of Anatomy"
I have read the customer reviews ofGrant's Atlas and Netter's Atlas of Anatomy and have noted that the reviewers of Netter's Atlas have often denigrated Grant's Atlas. This is an improper comparison. These two atlases, although they overlap, serve, and are intended to serve, different purposes. Netter's is a general atlas, more encyclopedic in scope than Grant's. Grant's atlas is aimed more at the beginning surgeon (there are much more detailed works on specific surgical anatomy) and the gross anatomy prosector, such as a first year medical student. In the anatomy laboratory, I think many students would find Grant more useful than Netter, particularly in its description of variants of normal. There were also. I believe, some unfair comparisons to Gray's Anatomy. Gray is not primarily an atlas (although the illustrations are usually excellent). It is a texbook, and of value because of its unsurpassed descriptions of anatomy. Most of my physician colleagues have all three. These three works do not compete with, but complement one another.

Grants Atlas of Anatomy
Comparisons are often made between Netter's Atlas and Grant's. Both are highly useful in the laboratory and for at home study. However, Grant's is clearly superior in the completeness of its treatment of what is really useful knowledge for the professional student. This is quite evident in the treatment of the head and neck where views that make learning of these two regions well are present in Grant's but absent in Netter's. For example, the posterior pharyngeal region in Netter is very incompletely represented. Further, the inclusion of various radiological modalities, comprehensive treatment of all regions, presentation of anomalies and structe from several different views, and descriptions accompanying the figures in Grant's Atlas are superior virtually absent in Netter's Atlas. Although Netter's illustrations are as accurate as are Grant's, and are all works of art, they are often overlabeled and, above all, do not represent well what the student is going to see in cadaver dissection as does Grants. I think that another competitor of Grant's Atlas, the Rohen and Yokochi atlas, is also a good atlas, provided you don't suffer from astigmatism and have to deal with the white labels used in this atlas to identify structures. Like Grants, however, this atlas shows the cadaver as it really is in the laboratory.

Call of Duty: The Sterling Nobility of Robert E. Lee (Leaders in Action Series)

A Tribute to a Man of Integrity
Three cheers for a great read AND a great life - once you've read this book, you'll understand why Gen. Robert E. Lee still stands today as the most beloved and respected military leader of all time. The simple truth is the man was motivated by honor, duty and most important of all, faith, and everything he did was premeditated by him with those ideas in mind. How refreshing a story after one has been bombarded today with stories of those our children look up to who are motivated by greed and ego and talk about somebody "disrespecting" them - it is very difficult to respect someone spouting obscenities, covered with tatoos, hair dyed eye-popping colors, and sporting metal earrings dangling from various parts of their face! They say "I'm not a role model." I think that is a cop-out spoken by someone who decided he wanted all the glory and money and fame without living up to the responsibility that goes along with it. It's too bad strong and moral leaders, men who stood up for what was right and were willing to pay whatever price that cost, who knew they were role models and did their utmost to be good ones, whose stories we've read about in history class about men down through the years from earliest history through the colonies and the Revolutionary War to the Civil War, seem also to be "Gone With the Wind".

An inspirational read!
The account of a great historical figure---a gentleman of duty, truth and spirit---a man of God. Yankee carpetbaggers, scalawags and liberals alike, be forewarned: this book may shake you from your nihilistic mind nap. As Robert E. Lee so aptly put it, the Southern States had "sacred principles to maintain and rights to defend, for which we were in duty bound to do our best, even if we perished in the endeavor". Long live the South and those who have fought and died to keep alive her character and ideals! Indeed, those readers 'educated' on a strangulation diet of revised history may be enlightened, perhaps even intellectually emancipated, by this grand book. Five stars Mr. Wilkins, 100 stars General Lee!

An example for us all .
This book reveals a side of Robert E. Lee that is not explored as much as it should be. The character and Christian testamony exhibited here should be an example to us all. I found the reading to be spell bounding and very hard to put down. Thanks to the authors for a non-bias view of this great American hero.
