Dare to Dream.
This children's book contains some wonderful watercolor illustrations. The book contains a message about faith, hope, love, and daring to dream. The vocabulary is simple and the words aren't too difficult to read even for beginning readers. Children enjoy looking at the book and usually enjoy listening to it being read to them. Even though the book is not a story, it does contain a good message that isn't heard enough by youngsters today.

From a store owner in Forney, Texas
I did want to let you know that my daughter received "Plant Your Dreams, My Child" for her birthday over a year ago and loves it. She wouldn't sit through a whole book but she let us read that one and now has it memorized. So, when I saw your books at the Dallas Market, I knew I had to carry them in our store.

Plant Your Dreams MY Child
I received a copy of the book in December 1999 while staying ata Ronald McDonald House. They give the book to all parents andchildren staying with them, since the book is dedicated "to all all children, but especially those who are critically ill and fighting the fight of their life". Being a parent of two children, both born critically ill, it quickly touched my heart. I read it to my children (ages 2 and 6 months) often so that they will know how much God has given them.

Get Out of the Way Joe!
Get out of the way Joe, Nancy is here. This book has to be one of the best. In this book, Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys act like pros. That is untill Joe let's his personal feelings in the way. He actually hated Nancy!!! Read this book to see what I'm talking about. I recommend this book to anybody who loves a good mystery.

You Have To Read This Book
Hi! I think everyone will love this book but to bad it didn't really have any of that Nancy/Frank stuff but thats ok because Nancy and Joe really don't like each other but i won't tell you anymore then that.

My favorite part is when Joe does the polygraph test. (thats to see if someone is lieing or not)you should see what Nancy askes Joe but I'm not going to tell you but if you want to find out more about the book e-mail me at onavy100@aol.com

Wonderful, though more text than I wanted
I was very pleased by the large number of high-quality reproductions. Still, as far as I'm concerned there should have been *more*. The book contains (a rough count) about 280 pages containing text or mostly text, out of about 630 total pages. However, I'm very happy with the book.

Best Rauschenberg book ever!
Best book, I have ever bought

Excellent well presented book
The problem with art books is that they go out of print too quickly. This is a beautifully presented book on Rauschenberg that was released with the big retrospective at the Guggenheim in 97/98. Barnes and Noble still had copies avaiable as of Sept. 99, so check there -- they were even discounted!

Brilliant and essential reading!
It is a truism that good books get you to think, and great books get you to ask questions and then discern their answers using that book. If you are asking questions like, "What direction do I go?" or "How will I know what I seek?", Stepping into the Aquarian Age is a book you'll want to read, digest and use to prepare for the next evolutionary cycle.

Author, therapist and seeker Nancy Privett has given us a well-written and insightful look at where we came from, who we are and who we can be. We read, "You have come to this planet, born of magnificent Divine parents, for a specific reason. That reason is cloaked in Divine energy...to fulfill a destiny which is crucial to your soul's growth."

Stepping into the Aquarian Age is the ship that carries the reader on a journey into the new evolutionary cycle. We learn not only to speak in the vocabulary of the Aquarian Age, but also to focus on the potentail it has to help create peace and happiness. We are offered new models for the "way life works" that will help us discover a wealth that goes far beyond materiality.

Nancy Privett brings together modern physics and ancient wisdom to provide a guidebook that offers information, concepts, and encouragement that direct us on our journey. From the Universal Laws to an understanding of energy dynamics and energy anatomy, from symbolic interpretation to the creative process, Stepping into the Aquarian Age calms the seas and offers navigation for the evolution of our consciousness.

Nancy Privett writes with love and compassion about a subject vital to all of us---our personal destiny. In this reviewer's opinion, Stepping into the Aquarian Age will affect your lives and the lives of your children in a most positive way. It is a path to awareness, power and peace!

An Energy Perspective
I found the book to be an excellent perspective on the energy centers of the human body and how all layers and events connect. There were sections I had to go back and reread to be clear about, but overall it avoided being tedious. As an engineer, I appreciated the positive view of science and how it fits in the spiritual web. The book gives a history of the different ages to point out where we are now and what goals we are trying to accomplish. The example situation at the end, after reading the book, brought it all together. What can I say. I felt good after reading it. I saw things happening in currently in my life in a good way. There islittle more I can ask from a book.

"Must" reading for all students of New Age metaphysics
Stepping Into The Aquarian Age: A Guidebook For The New Evolutionary Cycle is a fascinating and informative compendium of information and direction to assist the reader in preparing for an extraordinary new era of evolutionary development. Author Nancy Privett explains what it means to expand awareness and fulfill destiny; how ancient wisdom teachings are emerging in modern physics; why understanding energy anatomy and energy dynamics is vital to understanding our destiny; why the power of the heart will be crucial in the Aquarian Age; how to be guided by universal law; how to utilize symbolic interpretations to find spiritual guidance; and how to use the creative process to establish, shape and mold the kind and quality of life you desire. Stepping Into The Aquarian Age is "must" reading for all students of New Age metaphysics.

This is a great book! Learn to eliminate hyperactivity
If you want to learn how to really treat hyperactivity, the core issues and causes of hyperactivity, then this is the book for you. So many books only address the symptoms, but Drs Cook and O'Dell go for the underlying causes. And the treatments don't involve drugs, either! Kudos for your brave foray into an overworked subject using innovative and workable treatments.

An easy-to-read, thorough and very helpful problem solver!
This is a great book, very thorough in its evaluation of potential behavioral troubles and methods of helping to solve them. Drs. Cook and O'Dell really seem to place the children being treated as first and foremost in considering ways to alleviate their discomfort as a result of the reflex.

Their drug-free approach is simple to learn and requires only regular, concentrated effort and time to reap substantial rewards. Children and families will benefit greatly from their years of research and straightforward talk.

Highly recommended book. I look forward to getting the video!

Remarkable book with a drug-free treatment of hyperactivity
In this book, I have found a clearly written explanation of Hyperactivity and its' underlying causes. The book doesn't pretend to be the "cure-of-the-day." Instead, it sets the reader upon a path of discovery. Discovery that can eventually stop the behavior of hyperactivity altogether by changing deep-rooted and detrimental habits. All of this in a concise, 200-page, manual of exercises, diagrams, pictures, and instructions. Quite a remarkable work, indeed.

Just as much fun as a Nancy Drew mystery!
What a fun read! I loved seeing all the old pictures, and was amazed by the "behind the scenes" intrigue of the Nancy Drew publishing syndicate. Plunkett-Powell really tracked down the many Carolyn Keenes, in true "sleuth style." Anyone who ever stayed up late reading their Nancy Drews with a flashlight under the covers will absolutely love this book.

Nancy Drew collectors MUST HAVE this book!
This was the best and most well-researched book I've ever read about Nancy Drew. Not only does Ms. Plunkett-Powell "introduce" us to the REAL Carolyn Keene -- Mildred Wirt Benson -- but she gives us a history of how the idea for Nancy Drew was born and some of the politics involved in it for Wirt when Stratmeyer died and his daughter, Harriet, took over everything and tried to control too much of the writing. We learn which NDs weren't written by Wirt, and how much of the writing was changed as well as the covers.

She tells collectors how to know the worth of their stash. She goes through each of the characters and their start with the series. She even talks about the TV show and MOVIES in the 1930s that were made -- more for the fun of it than to truly showcase the books. Info about Russell Tandy, the illustrator of the early books and the first to design covers, also is described.

She hasn't forgotten anything. It's truly a work of genius for the Nancy Drew collector, a "must have" for all of us!

The Mystery of Nancy Drew's Ghostwriter...solved!
...and other fascinating background trivia for the queen-of-teen-sleuth buffs! I'm not a true Nancy Drew fan, I'm a bookseller with a mercenary interest in the vintage teenage sleuth, but this book almost made me a believer! The author approaches her subject matter with the infectious enthusiasm of the true fan, and delves into carefully guarded mysteries of secret ghostwriter identities, Riverview's true location, and other gems of trivia too numerous to cite, with a determination and verve Nancy herself would be proud of! Fun to read, captivating, and informative to the collector and bookseller alike! (and by the way, the writing is adult-level, not 4-8 yrs., as the description implies!)

A Beautiful Love Story
One World Under God is a wonderful book telling the story that love is stronger than the differences that divide us. Two people from totally different backgrounds come to understanding and acceptance because they love each other. This book is a fast, enjoyable read and has a message for everyone.

A Vote for Compassion
This book goes against the grain of the current mood of the Western world. Rather than viewing the Muslim world with fear and loathing, it focuses on a few individuals living their faith as written in the various scriptures and not as certain extremist leaders would have us live. Though it is set against the backdrop of the recent Balkan conflicts it could easily be set anywhere faiths collide. It's a good read and has a hopeful message.

Great Book!
This book is a beautiful love story and was enjoyable from start to finish.

A Quality Read
I always knew that Bess was going to have problems at some point with her weight but I really didn't know when. It was thoroughly suprising what she did in this book. Nancy tries out for a tv station and Micheal Giannelli also gets the job. You can tell that they wll have a rough time in the beginning and eventually fall in love. This brings real life issues of college life along with a thrilling mystery. I liked it alot.

Very highly recommended!!
OTHERWISE ENGAGED, the January selection of The Personal Touch! miniseries is not to be missed. Cara Summers presents the story of Tyler Sheridan, who discovers through the personal ads that her groom will miss the wedding. When she seeks out a Private Detective to find her fiancé, Tyler meets just the wrong guy at just the right time. When these direct opposites meet, the chemical reaction is extraordinary!

Thy have nothing in common except passion. Tyler's a Boston socialite and president of her company. She hires Nick Romano to find her erstwhile fiancé. From the first glimpse of the sexy, hunky Nick, Tyler's hooked. In the six months she'd known Richard, she'd never known him to stir anything close to the reactions Nick produces instantly. Sheridans don't hit people and they never loose their temper. They certainly don't fall for PIs. But in Nick's company, Tyler finds herself behaving in strange and different ways.

From the moment Tyler shows him her grandmother's recommendation, Nick finds Tyler getting to him. He'd already had the electric and phone disconnected, his boxes are packed, and Nick is ready to pull up stakes, leaving the world of PIs behind for becoming a lawyer. Then Tyler sashays into his office, convincing him to accept the case. His instant attraction is only cooled by the need to find out what Richard is up to. When Nick realizes that the missing in a fake, a liar and a kidnapper, he becomes determined to find the truth about the missing fiancé. And while they are otherwise engaged, Nick and Tyler may find that their hearts have a mind of their own.

If not for the personal touch, these dynamic characters would never have met. Even the twist of the title provides a nice giggle with its play on words. Indeed, Cara Summers creates a humorous, highly entertaining contemporary romance with her delectable writing style. Very highly recommended.

Romance+Mystery
Want Romance? Want Mystery? It's all here in the 23rd edition of Nancy Drew on Campus, Otherwise Engaged! It was a really good book because it was not only focused on romance but also mystery. Passions are running so high, that Nadia and Jake decide to get married just so Nadia can stay in the U.S. But Jake finds out that looks can be decieving. Meanwhile Nancy's quit her job at Wilder Times to work at TV station WWST. But she's found out that it's not all glamour and glitz especially with her co-host Michael Gianneli. And Stephanie has got a crazy plan to cement her bond with Jonathan.

Getting down to business
In the first three books of the series, Nancy Bartholomew introduced us to Sierra Lavotini, the headliner of the Tiffany's Gentleman's Club in Panama City. Sierra is book smart, loyal and no nonsense. She controls her boss, Vincent Gambuzzo, by hinting to her (non-existent) familial connections to a New Jersey Mafia boss known as 'Big Moose' Lavotini. Ms. Bartholomew's books are filled with funny situations, a great supporting cast and a nice, cozy mystery. The author never makes her characters demeaning or condescending but after writing those fun books the writer decides to get a bit serious this time.

It is December and Christmas is just around the corner. Vincent Gambuzzo has lost the club during a poker game and is then accused of killing one of the players. Sierra is exploring her relationship with Detective John Nailor wondering if she has finally found true love. She is unhappy with the club's new management after changing its name to Big Mike's House of Booty that she decides to stage a walkout with the other dancers. Just when everyone needs her to help Vincent and save the club she has to fly to her hometown of Philadelphia to deal with a family emergency. This event will demonstrate how strong Sierra can be with herself.

In STRIP POKER, Sierra Lavotini has matured as a character after her adventures in the previous three books. We get to appreciate how she interacts with her entire family throughout their personal crisis and see the love that they share with each other. With the sole exception of Sierra's kooky neighbor Raydean, the comedy in this book is not so strong but that is all right. We get to see a major change in Sierra's life at the end of the novel making us wish that the next novel comes out soon. I guess it is time to read Ms. Bartholomew's other two novels that introduces Maggie Reid. It should be good.

HEADS UP this book is a HIT...!
The Sierra Lavotini series is a must for anyone who has NO LIMIT when it comes to taking a GAMBLE on a well-written, smart and funny romantic suspense. Here's the DEAL: Sierra is an UNDERDOG amateur detective who happens to have a TOP PAIR, a real stacked DECK, and strips at a HOUSE with a GUNSHOT STRAIGHT when it comes to murder. Sierra, unlike the other exotic dancers, doesn't FOLD when it comes to solving the murders; she ANTES up, which RAISES the Panama City Police Department's frustration in solving the crime, especially a FIVE CARD STUD detective named John Nailor. I'm not BLUFFING when I say take the CHANCE on STRIP POKER; it's a SURE THING that you'll hit the JACK POT...the ODDS aren't against you.:)

Welcome back, Sierra!
We missed you! With the introduction of Sierra Lavotini, the readers of mysteries starring wonderfully human female sleuths have another series to wait impatiently for. In Strip Poker, Nancy Bartholomew has returned us to Sierra's world- complete with all the lovable characters, and not so lovable ones, we hope to meet again and again. Keep writing, and we'll keep reading!
