Five Stars for Rosebud!
Rosebud is a new children's classic no matter what city you live in. The author showcases her incredible artistic talents not only through the words she writes, but in the illustrations she creates. We loved every page!

Sally rocks!
This book is truly a masterpiece of postmodern children's literature. And besides, the author is an amazing person.

Rosebud Roams Charleston
What a delightful book! I can't wait to share it with my grandchildren. The imagination of the story and the original paintings on each page makes you wish for more. How else would you have a country horse like Rosebud find her way to her dream city of Charleston than behind a "great big truck of juicy orange carrots." Or what expression on Rosebud's face could you come up with more delightful as she contemplates the "slide down the amazing banister in The Nathaniel Russell House." Sally Smith does a wonderful job of letting your imagination soar as she and Rosebud take you roaming through Charleston. I am looking forward to enjoying this gem many times over.

PASSION AND INTRIGUE
Sally Painter has created an historical thriller that is filled with excitement, intrigue and unbridled passion. It deals with an age when white slavery rings operated covertly, stealing young women from the arms of their families and making them disappear forever. One of these victims, beautiful Celeste Bates, somehow manages to escape her ordeal, only to fall into the arms of the dangerously handsome, Captain Brent MacGraft. Misunderstandings and misconceptions force Celeste and Brent apart, even though their instincts and desires draw them together. The power and frustration of these opposing forces is what drives this novel. Shadows Of Love is an erotically riveting romance. Ms. Painter has successfully woven a truly unforgettable tale.

Shadows of Love
This book is so well written, I couldn't put it down! I loved the heroine in the book, the characters seemed to come alive. I can't wait until the sequel is published! Sally Painter is a superb, up and coming author to the New Millenium. Congratulations Ms. Painter! Job well done!

A great read!
This story offers terrific characters, a delightful love story, a fascinating plot, and excitment from the very first page. You'll love it and like me, you'll wish you could read it again for the very first time. Whatever you do, don't miss this one!

Best book for Christian writers looking to market their book
"You Can Market Your Book" is a thorough exposition of how to market your book to the Christian community. While the principles and techniques in the book are applicable to the marketing of any book, the resources listed and writing style clearly slants the focus to the Christian writer. The book covers all the standard stuff from selecting a good title to getting reviews, creating a press kit, book signings, developing a speaking platform, online promotion, and using subcontractors. Each section is well written and contains a wealth of detailed information. "You Can Market Your Book" is a highly recommended book and is simply the best marketing manual for the Christian publishing community that I have reviewed.

Approachable, practical, insightful! For all authors.
You Can Market Your Book is an easy read, but don't let that fool you. It's brimming with solid, practical ideas and real-life examples of how to promote your book. Best of all are the stories of how other authors did it. Another bonus is the inclusion of short articles by other authors which spotlight promotion, creating press releases, and how to handle those nerve-wracking interviews!

The subtitle is "All the Tools You Need to Sell Your Published Book" with a tool box on the cover. Consistent with this theme are the four helpful sections inside: 1) "Project and Site Preparation," which covers conception, design, and obtaining endorsements and reviews. 2) "Choosing the Right Tools and Materials" discusses press releases, creative promotion ideas, making your book signing an EVENT, developing a speaking platform, and online promotion. 3) "Finding the Right Subcontractors" deals with publicists, using radio, and how to market to libraries. 4) "Executing Your Plan" delivers success stories and final words of encouragement.

Author Carmen Leal expertly addresses issues for both self-published authors as well as traditionally-published authors. I am amazed at the number of resources and websites she includes in this book. Get your highlighter ready, because you'll need it to mark all the great ideas in YOU CAN MARKET YOUR BOOK!

~Kimn Swenson Gollnick, coauthor of GETTING YOUR FINANCIAL HOUSE IN ORDER (Broadman & Holman, September 2003)

Must-have resource for writers
Every author should have this book. Carmen Leal gives easy-to-follow helps to help a writer get the word out--from getting reviews to doing interviews to creating an e-zine and other web support. Even though I've written 17 books, I picked up many great ideas. Writing a book is maybe half the work for a writer; getting the word out is just as important. So, aspiring authors should get it too, so they can prepare for what's ahead.

The best homeschooling book I've read to date!
This book in an inspiration to me. More than just a quick read, it is an important tool to be referred to over and over again. I am so excited to have this resource on my shelf. There is quite a lot of guidance on how to make the entire home a place of learning, including specific info on establishing a learning room and discovery centers. Lots of useful info on building a home library as well. I LOVE this book.

What An Inspiration!
I was able to see Clay and Sally Clarkson at their conference. I picked up this book there and have poured over it for 3 days. They are inspirational to me personally. I am so glad I was able to get this in the beginning of my homeschool journey; there is so much practical information to use.

Be sure to pick up Sally's other book The Mission of Motherhood too! I am reading it as well! :)

Wonderful!!!
This book has lots of information to digest. I am glad I read it now while my children are young. It is my goal to teach the way the Clarksons do!

Lovers and Liars

Sally Steward is simply the best.
This book is even better than her previous "Undercover Lover". This one is so filled with mystery and suspense, I believe any mystery or romance lover will enjoy it. The main characters are well defined and the plot twists keep you turning page after page after page. Ms Steward is so gifted, I hope she continues these types of stories for years to come.

I recommend this not only for women, but men also!
I was completely enthralled by this book. Sally Steward really keeps you going. Just when you think you have it figured out, you don't. By the time you do, you're too caught up in the ending to care. Even though this book is published as a romance, it's more of a suspense thriller. Men will love to read this book!

Fast paced read full of twists and turns
Sally Steward has a surefire winner in "LOVERS AND LIARS". The characters in this fast paced story of love and suspense are believeable and the story itself sizzles with tension. Leanne and Eliot are pure magic. A delight for the reader. "LOVERS AND LIARS" is well written and deliciously entertaining.

What a resource!
I love this series from Rodale and have every one in my library. They do not contain patterns, just instructions with full-color step-by-step photographs. This book covers about any piecing method you might want to review, hand or machine. There are lots of great tips along the way . . . even if you are an experienced quilter, you will get some new ideas from this book.

Lots of tips...
This is an extremely practical book. What I really like about it is all the photos. As a beginning quilter, I find it very useful to see the technique illustrated with a photo. With tips on all kinds of patchwork techniques, this book is an ideal second quilting book (with the first book being a more comprehensive book on the entire quilting process, like Fons and Porter's Quilter's Complete Guide). I really like the sections on problem solving in each chapter. I think this book would be useful for intermediate quilters as well (I assume it's too basic for really advanced quilters).

Perfect Piecing
I own several "how-to" books. I always keep coming back to Perfect Piecing because of the clear, straightforward information. I even recommended it to my Mom, so she might start quilting.

Good book but ....
I am not a very successful CPAP user. I find this book easy for reading and technical material is converted to an interesting and well-organized book. The negative side is that it is too positive and optimistic, giving a wrong impression that CPAP is the ultimate panacea. If it can say more about the numerous and various problems that CPAP users encountered, and give more practical though not perfect advices, this book will be much better. Hope also it talks more about smart CPAP.

Best book on apnea
Like my title says, this is the best book around on sleep apnea. The authors do a superb job of describing the symptons and treatment of sleep apnea. They also dispel common misconceptions about sleep apnea- like "thin and young people can't have it"-something which, most dr.s still believe. Unfortunately, most dr.s are very ignorant about sleep disorders, and often, it's the last thing they check for.

My only problem(s) with this book are: that it doesn't elaborate on Upper Airway Resistance Syndrome, a close cousin to apnea and hypopnea; and while it states that UPPP surgery can eliminate snoring w/o treating the underlying apnea, it doesn't explicity state that it's possible (albeit admittedly less common) to have apnea w/o snoring in the first place. Finally, IMO, the authors should have stressed the importance of heated humidifiers in CPAP treatment (a breathing machine, which is the most common treatment for apnea).

This sounds like a lot of "complaints" but the overall excellence of the book doesn't keep me from giving it the 5-stars.

Excellent Recent Overview: Honest and Direct
Although my dad was a champion snorer, I never suspected that I myself had inherited a tendency toward sleep apnea. However, I've got it (moderately), and Pascualy's book has been a big help in allowing me to navigate this new medical field in which I am now an unwilling participant.

Before I went to a sleep clinic for a formal test, I read this book. It prepared me for what was to come, which was not particularly pleasant, despite disclaimers which say that the procedure is painless and non-invasive. That largely was true, but the same might be said for most enemas, and they, too, are not particularly enjoyable.

I was prescribed a CPAP (continuous positive air pressure) device, and I currently am in the midst of trying to adjust to it. To be blunt, I loathe the thing. Were I not married, I doubt that I would have the willpower to try to solve my moderate problem which, though annoying (that is, a gnawing and nearly constant fatigue), is livable. But to please her (who has endured my snoring for years), and because she does have my best interests in mind, I will persist.

The three chapters on CPAPs in this book are essential for anyone who wishes to truly solve his/her sleep apnea problem with one. There is no chapter of the support group AWAKE in my area, so Pascualy's words of encouragement and wisdom on the subject have been transformative for me. If I succeed with a CPAP, it will be because I read this book and took it to heart. Otherwise, without question, I just wouldn't bother.

I am a high-school teacher, and I have at least three colleagues who have got sleep apnea and either are undiagnosed or are in the midst of trying to troubleshoot/solve the condition. When I mentioned my dilemma to my current classes, a substantial number of students had fathers who used a CPAP. I acknowledge that this truly is a widespread problem in America and that the CPAP doubtlessly is the best solution currently available.

Read this book if you, too, are a sufferer (or the spouse of one); but be prepared for a substantial period of adjustment to the CPAP and its "magic"!!

Chris Imbo's Peak 10 Fitness

A good jumpstart
I purchased this book in 1997. I did the program and I had wonderful results. I lost 20 pounds in the 10 week program (which I stretch to 14 weeks) and I did feel vibrant and strong. I did however find the program hard to maintain. It is a great place for a novice to start; an invaluable tool for those of us that have always been intimidated by exercise and fitness. Realize that the results will come and that once they do - you will have to change your plan and approach to exercise. Chris will walk you through the first 10 weeks but after that - your on your own.

65 and lovin it!
I am a senior citizen, and have always tried to watch my weight, and to tone up, not only for looking good, but also to feel good. When I discovered this book, I immediately found that it
explained every exercise in detail that I could understand, and the illustrations were exceptional. I am constantly told that I look at least 15 years younger, and this is without plastic surgery. I highly recommend this book to every age group. It's wonderful!!!

Highly motivational - it works!
If you want to get fit this is the book for you. The concept is simple and Chris & Sally detail the guidelines for the average individual to follow. Counting calories is a bit time consuming for the first 2 weeks, but after that it's second nature. The program truly works - I'm back down to my healthy weight range after only 7 weeks (and 20 lbs lighter!). But, most importantly, I feel great. This book comes highly recommended.
