It used a step-by-step method, and the examples were real-life, not some widget company, which really helped. I am not a computer whiz, but I picked up this difficult subject without too much trouble, although some of the topics in this third book took more time to digest than the others!

Whether you select just one title or I recommend buying the whole set, this series provides a framework for understanding and planning responsible action for a fundamental yet emotionally charged topic. The books give real insights, examples and inspiration. Our valuing of each other is the secret to success. This series makes it easy for all to accept.

Our organization has been trying to become inclusive for some time. The stories in this book are inspiring and the ideas for measuring and celebrating helped me see "achievement" with a new perspective. Recommended!

If you look at all of Debbe Kennedy's writing, there is at least one thread connecting all her thoughts: talk is nice, but action -- making something really happen -- is the only path to achievement.

What's great, then, about this "Strategic Action Series" is that, page after page, Kennedy suggests, profiles, highlights, or lists things you can do to move diversity from the discussion table to the office suite or plant floor.

The series is a perfect blend of philosophy, reporting, and move-on-it-now lists. Thus, when completed, the series not only helps you see diversity in a new light; these books also help you think about your own potential for converting diversity into actions with both a personal and organizational payoff.

An easy read-not too daunting-compact in size and condensed information which doesn't allow the reader any excuse for procrastination. Encourages everyone to follow their dream and take 'Action' as the title suggests. Loved the quote from Mother Theresa...."Don't wait for leaders. Do it alone-person to person"

This guide was invaluable to me in my preparation for the exam.The review questions mirrored the exam questions very closely.I would recommend this book to anyone preparing for the ACNP exam.

I think that these case studies are a wonderful insight to the work done by the authors Kudos!

I first got a hold of this book when I was cleaning up the bookshelves of my deceased father, who had received a copy from Mrs. Sally Price as a token of her appreciation for his help when she was collecting information for it (she autographed the inside cover). Being thoroughly familiar myself with the Surinam Bushnegroes (so I thought until then), I read a greater part of the book reviewing in particular the chapters on designs of loincloths and the cultural and religious meanings of different artifacts. It was stunningly accurate and then some. Comparing the information in the book with my own knowledge and experience I found it to be very informative and enjoyable to read. It's a pity, though, that most pictures are black & white. When examining the different designs of loincloths, a great deal of information is lost since the colors are not conveyed. Since design and color together convey a message, a black & white picture tells only half a story. Nevertheless, a reader who wants to get his feet wet in the life & times of Maroons, will have to don rubber boots when reading this book about the best preserved maroon tribes in the world; the Bushnegroes of Suriname.
