A book to help you understand how the bodys systems work
There was such good information in this book about different items that can be causing health problems in the body. What is more important it talked about what a person can do about these problems to let them live a healther lifestyle. The chapter on Cancer was really interesting I did not realize there were so many types of Cancers. Also the section on why diets don't worked helped me to understand why they have not over the years worked for me. Also the section on that gave me insight on what I could do to get my doctor to help me better. It was also interesting to learn about how the mental, emotional and spirtual connection all works together and is so important. I also found the book easy to read and understand as it is written so someone who is non-medical can really grasp what Dr. Kellas is trying to stay. After reading Dr. Kellas's other two books I just had to read this one as I am on a journey to better help and he sure has the vision to show one the way.

A whole new approach for helping me take charge of my health
It was really interesting to learn just how many toxins are out there that we really are not aware about, and Dr. Kellas gave such great ideas of how one can rid their body of these toxins. I was also surprised to learn about the unwanted elements in water and food and also some hazards that can really make us sick. Some great tips on new breakthroughs in structural problems, whiplast and TMJ. Also learned alot about fungus, viruses and other elements that invade our bodies but most importantly what to do about it...I recommend this book to anyone that is interested in taking charge of their health.

Great Tips for Parents
I really enjoyed this book. It was informative and innovative. I easily looked up problems and found the tools necessary to handle them. It was also easy reading in between the many other jobs one does as a parent!

It really works!!!
I have read this book and found it to be a wonderful tool to help me raise my daughter Emma. The tools provided by Virginia have helped me be a better parent to my daughter and has helped our relationship be more loving in every way. I feel much more in control of every situation and I DON'T HAVE TO YELL EVERY TIME!!!!

Try it... you'll like it.

Do You Want to Radiate True Beauty?
From the viewpoint of a teenage girl: I loved this book - it really shows the truth about what beauty is in God's eyes, which is far more than what you look like on the outside. The book focuses on how the fruits of the Holy Spirit can be produced in you to make you truly beautiful. Each devotional has five parts (designed to each be read in a week), and they are 1) exploring the quality, 2) looking at the opposite, 3) seeing how Jesus portrays it, 4) examining how a woman in the Bible displayed it, and 5) a quiz. Scripture-based and sound, this book is very practical and appealing! It is designed to help girls really learn how much God really loves and values them, draw closer to Him, and inevitably radiate loveliness that makes you truly attractive. I highly recommend to all teenage girls.

The truth about beauty that you won't read in Cosmo!
Practical Spirtial advice on the truth inside the beauty game! How and what God really sees in us. Straight talk to teenage girls that the media and magazines are afraid to tell. Scriptually sound and on target. I wish I would have had this book available to me as a teenager. I recommend it to girls and parents alike. Someone is finally telling you the truth!

Trusting Soul : Collected Stories & Drawings

Wonderful whimsy...
...with a bit of a bite. These "stories" are little vignettes or even aphorisms that are just off-center enough to move your own thoughts sideways. Some are emotionally touching, some provocative, some just amusing. ("I think I'm having a heart attack, she said, but it's dragging on for hours. I told her not to worry. That's how most people who work a full day feel, I said.") A great little read that doesn't feel stale when you read it the second or third time.

You either get it or you don't
To quote Dr. Phil. I certainly get this artform and love it. I ran across this book today in a little store on St. Croix, US Virgin Islands. I had not heard of this artist before and while looking through some of his artworks, noticed the book which I had to have after page 1. I started looking at the the book and know I will eventually collect all of Brian Andreas' work.

My favorite geometry textbook
I discovered this little gem of a book while exploring the stacks in the library when I was attending a local junior college back in the 80's. The author uses Logo's turtle graphics as a way of exploring the properties of geometric space. From very simple beginnings drawing regular polygons and other simple shapes, the book gradually works its way to more and more complicated scenarios. After exploring the properties of ordinary turtle graphics, turtle graphics are tried on the surfaces of spheres and cubes, then on more complicated surfaces. Little by little, concepts of non-Euclidean geometry are introduced, until the final chapters in which the turtle is used to demonstrate the geometric nature of gravity in Einstein's general theory of relativity.

I strongly recommend this book to anyone with interests in computer programming, geometry and physics. The unusual approach this book takes to the understanding of curved space is deceptively simple and surprisingly powerful.

Very good book to show how to use logo as a tool for math
Anyone interested in logo from beginners to advanced users will benefit from reading this book. It has very easy and simple to understand examples, along with a review, and questions at the end of every chapter. Some solutions are provided at the end of the book, (and their even correct, as opposed to many other text books I've read). The pace of the book gets gradually more difficulst, yet more interesting as you reach the climax at the end. A must read for anyone interested in Mathematics.

Beautiful and has fun actions
This book is about a girl showing her little brother how to dance. The text is a poem, with a fun, dance-like rhythm. For example,

"I stomp my feet. I clap my hands. Arms up, arms down, I spin around."

A child can imitate the actions, and expand on them with their own creativity. The colors are vibrant and the artwork is beautiful. I like the family context also, because it is modeling an older sibling teaching a younger one.

A good baby workout book that's cute and entertaining
My daughter loves this book. She tries to do the dance moves as I read each page.

Excellent book for anyone looking for change.
I've never like self-help books, I've always found them to be useless. This book really changed my attitude, especially about myself. The authors use of love, humor and compassion makes this one of the MOST worthwhile books on the market:-)

A must read for anyone wanting a positive change!
This book changed my life in so many ways. The exercises were hard sometimes, but they really hit home for me. Although the changes were sometimes difficult, Tim Shurr's style of humor, wisdom, and love helped me to feel like I wasn't alone. I would highly recommend What To Do to anyone.

The White Horse Talisman
Published in Paperback by Orca Book Publishers (2003)
Author: Andrea Spalding
Amazon base price: $6.95
Average review score:

Great Fantasy Book
The White Horse Talisman By Andrea Spalding is a great fantasy book. It is about Chantel and her brother Adam who go to Britain from Canada to their cousins Owen and Holly. Chantel, Adam, Owen and Holly have to help the White Horse, Equus, find his mate the red horse and foal. Equus is one of the wise ones. He can talk to Chantal in her mind since Chantal believes in horse magic.
Adam gets jealous of Chantel thanks to the honey-tongued dragon Worm. My favorite character is Equus because he's a good character and he's magical. He runs on the wind and can go through time. I wish I could do those things.
My least favourite character is Worm. He is evil and tricks people with his words that sound kind but are evil like Adam. Worm tells Adam, 'That's good, let your anger fuel my dragon magic. Watch the light.' Worm gets Adam to do his bad deeds by talking to him and making him angry and also using spells.
My favourite scene is when Equus and Worm fight. They move very fast, fire blazing, hooves flashing, claws slashing and tails lashing. The dragon flies up and Equus races after him, collides and it ended.
If you want to find out who wins in the battle between Equus and Worm and if Equus finds his mate and foal, you should read The White Horse Talisman.

The White Horse Talisman
To disagree with the editorial reviews, I LOVED 'The White Horse Talisman', especially the way the characters seemed so real and the setting so inviting. I read a lot of fantasy, and this book was a great example of a wonderful fantasy story. Ms. Spalding put a lot of thought and research into her book, making it very interesting and an unforgettable adventure. If you liked THE DARK IS RISING you will LOVE LOVE LOVE this book!!

Life, in 7 Chapters, 224 pages
Something happened on the way from childhood -- from wanting only, like Peter Rice, "to be good," or wanting to be free, or loved, or loving, or safe, or rich, or wanted-- to the widow's funeral. Like the best stories do, this one happens in the hearts and minds of its readers, borne there by the exactness of vision, the precision of craft, the sense of the messenger ever-grappling with the message. Andrea Barrett's essay is a bonus, a sensitive and intelligent reader-response that concludes with the proper advice: "The novel is itself, wholly itself; there is no way to comprehend it except to read it."

Classic Prose
Paula Fox is an old-fashioned writer, that is, she choses every word with care; she creates characters that live on in the reader's mind, etched in the acid of recognition. Her characters are never cliched, because Fox writes them true. Their actions and emotions are not predictable because Fox writes them true. In an age of supersized novels of mall-like sameness, Paula Fox is unique. Her work can not be franchised.
