Contributes to Treatment of Eating Disorders
I am a therapist at an outpatient clinic dealing with eatings disorders. We have used this book for treatment of eating disorders for over 2 years. Every client has experienced benefits through the insights, questions, and guidelines in this book. Even "normies" can benefit. Marsia and Andrea have a loving, intelligent approach that both challenges and inspires readers. Their honesty and openess give hope to those who wish to change old behaviors and expand interpersonal relationships. This book is a jewel to be examined over and over.

Be free of the diet trap forever!
Finally - the perfect book that will help you get to the root cause of overeating and it has nothing to do with calories! Most of us aren't eating to feed bodily hunger - we're eating to fill up emotional hunger, and until we find out the "why" of why we do that, we're just going to keep eating and dieting, and bingeing, etc. This wonderful workbook, written by two beautiful ladies who've "been there, done that" is the answer. If you've never accessed feelings before, they lead you ever so gently, and it's - literally - life-changing. Go for it - what do you have to lose?!

Must have for any Andrea Kane Fan
Braden and Cassie's story is great. I love a story that does not have to much conflict. This has enough to keep it interesting and still allow you love the characters. This is a great example of Andrea's magic and ability to tell a story. If you love romance you will love this book.

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!
I'm telling you, if you haven't got this book you don't know what you're missing! Andrea Kane's brilliance shines in this book! This is another jewel to add to Ms. Kane's crown of masterpieces.

This is a truly exceptional book.
This is one of the most remarkable books of fables that I have read. The stories are told in a riveting style, the illustrations are tremendous, and the added bonus of the author himself reading the tales puts this over the top, and into the realm of "outstanding"!

traditional Northwestern indian lore in its best style.
This book was a complete joy for our whole family. It has good pictures, beautiful typography, and tells the traditional Northwestern indian lore in its best style: humourous, frightening, and full of character. A wonderful bonus is a CD with cheif Lelooska himself telling the stories in the book.

The book is a work of art.
The book is a work of art. Drawings, photos in black-and-white of chefs and their kitchens enhance the recipes. Most attractive are twelve color plates of foods one could die for, made from recipes in the book. If you want one beautiful book about Mexican food and how to prepare it authentically, get El Norte. Elliot's Emergency
This is a wonderful and touching book. My son, Elliott, is especially fond of it. I highly recommend this book for kids of all ages. It shows the value of teamwork and being sensitive to the needs of others.

Excellent Story
This book was an immediate favorite with my 4-year-old son. The story has characters faced with a dilemma and it is both touching and charming to see how the crisis is resolved.

Encountering John: The Gospel in Historical, Literary, and Theological Perspective (Encountering Biblical Studies Series)

Concise, Readable, and Scholarly Overview of John
Encountering John is an outstanding college level volume on the fourth Gospel. The book is Evangelical, conservative and scholarly. I found it comprehensive in scope, while concise in content. Kostenberger occasionally presents his personal bias but always supports his views with reasonable arguments. Each chapter includes an outline, objectives, key words, interesting vignettes, and study questions. I would highly recommend the book to the serious student looking for a concise and readable overview of John's Gospel.

Good Intermediate Commentary
Dr. Kostenberger has done a good job in his commentary on John. It is written at a level that would stretch Bible college students and would be comfortable for most seminary students. He is a very clear writer and he summarizes frequently and effectively to help the reader gain the most from this book. Most of the charts and diagrams are very helpful as well as the study questions. The appendices are exciting reading into some insights he takes into the Gospel.

Dr. Kostenberger takes the generally accepted conservative stance on nearly all controversial issues. He supports Johannine authorship, a seven-sign structure in the Book of Signs, and the general coherency of the text. He views are supported heavily from the biblical data.

This commentary would do well to any student of the New Testament wanting a good intermediate commentary that does not go into the Greek or much syntactical analysis.

A student's perspective
As one of Andrea's former students, I've had to read this book and use it extensively. Not only did it get me through her class, but every class I had after that (and I've had a large number of English and History classes). If you're looking for a book to help you with MLA style, Professor Lunsford covers everything you can possibly hope to draw info from, including lectures, interviews, and even MUDs online.

This is a must have for any college student!
The Everyday Writer is a wonderful asset to any college English student. It contains all the essentials for writing term papers. I suggest that everyone who needs help in English should pick up this book.

Great for Critical Thinking Course
I teach Critical Thinking at a junior college in central California. This is the only text for my class. I have chosen it over several others for the following reasons: ease of use, detailed explanations, MLA and APA format guidelines, and excellent readings that give both sides to current topics.

A blend of Schemes, Tropes and Toulmin
As a Freshman Composition Teacher, I found it hard to explain the idea of argument using mainstream texts such as Axlerod and Cooper's St. Martin's Guide. The second edition of Everything's an Argument provides an accessible way to illustrate classical rhetorical ideas to the modern student. Lunsford, Ruszkiewicz and Walters provide a readable breakdown or Aristotle's concepts of Ethos, Pathos, Logos and Audience. Toulmin is also used nicely. The second edition also provides readings which are contemporary in nature and on intersting topics. There are the traditional readings on Title IX, Language and Identity, Free Speech and Euthanasia for the more conservative course instructors. In addition, this book ellaborates on topics which I will be excited to introduce into my course next semester: Technology's involvement in Conception and Birth, Intellectual Property rights, Genetics and Privacy Loss. While the content of the book is exactly what I've been searching for, I find the physical book design also appealing. The cover design and visual elements will demand attention from my students. While the compact paperback design will not break anyone's back, it has me a little concerned about how well it will hold up over a semester. This text should be a definite consideration for anyone who has been wondering for years how to work audience, argument, critical thinking and style into their course. My favorite part is the chapter on tropes and schemes.

Turning an Ordinary Life into An Extraordinary Life
Once I started to read this book, I could hardly put it down.It was so interesting & easy to read giving the everyday facts of how one woman turned her life from being ordinary (with the help of God) into a wonderful, exciting extraordinary life. Very inspirational. A helpful book for all women (& men, too).

Extraordinary Living is written with you in mind.
The author affirms that ordinary women have an extraordinary God who promises us an extraordinary life. I have discovered that the abundant life God offers is right there for the taking. And He wants me to have it! Find out through this book how God affirms every part of who you are. The stories are wonderful, and I've discovered the promise of God in Scripture. I recommend this book for an individual or for a group.

Heartwarming grandparent-grandchild story
The delicate relationship between the child and her grandfather is beautifully developed by the author, and the message that our differences -- age, language, etc. -- matter less than what we share is conveyed with subtlety. The glossary of Chinese words gives added insight into a different culture. The illustrations are good, though not as outstanding as the text. A real charmer!

Grandfather Counts book review
I thought Grandfather Counts was a really good book. When I read it I liked how the child and grandfather taught each other. I espeacially liked it because of my intertest in different languages. I would recomend this book for any one who has an interest in different cultures and languages.
