Excellent conceptual picture of God and his creation
An excellent book, full of stories that lead children into a more intimate understanding of God, God's creation, and how he interacts in our (their) daily lives. A true inspiration!
The book is a wonderful introduction to the bible.
"The Bible Tells Me So" is an excellent outline of the bible presented in a storytelling format. It introduces the books of the bible in a very orderly and understandable fashion for children ages 5-10. I'm looking for another copy to give to a friend!

... BOOFO IS TERRIFIC
I've been looking for this book as my daughter wants to get it for several gifts. I'll pass on to her that I found it. I have read it and seen the reaction of children to this book. It's absolutely delightful. What a shame that the above review from the School Library Journal is so unfavorable...
Get this book for your child or grandchild and it will become as traditional at Christmas Time as reading "Rudolph" or "The Snowman" is...... You'll enjoy it too!

Every child should have one of these
This is the best Christmas book for children short of "Twas the night before...". This Christian storybook demands that you hold your child on your knee because the pictures are fabulous. My child insists on being able to study the pictures every time I read it aloud. I got an extra copy and gave it to our local Christian pre-school. Two weeks later I found that about 10 of the teachers had ordered their own copy. You'll love the story, and your children will love the pictures.
Well researched and well written for children
After reading this book to my grandchildren, and seeing how well they responded, I was prompted to write this review. I had read other versions of this story to them, but they did not seem to grasp the crux of the story as well. I highly recommend this book for all children.

Loved It!
I loved the case of the Game Show Mystery! It is really good, it is one of my favorite books in the series! Here is a summary of the book. Mary Kate and Ashley have just won a chance to play on their favorite game show Double Trouble. They are really excited, but when they get there they have yet another case to crack. Someone seems detirmened to make sure Mary Kate and Ashley lose. Mary Kate and Ashley have to figure out who is causing all the trouble before it is too late! I hope you decide to read this book! It is great!
My favorite "New Adventures" book!
This book wasn't like other "New Adventures" book. The Case of the Game Show Mystery actually had an interesting story line.Plus, what made it a good read was that it was both fictitious but realistic in a way. This book is about when Mary-Kate & Ashley are picked to be contestants in their favorite TV show, "Double Trouble". But there is someone who wants them to lose...BAD. Well, that's all I can say;cuz if I say more, I'll give you too many clues that when you'll be reading it, you'll have the mystery solved before the famous Trenchcoat Twins have! :-)

Amazing Book
I read this book in the book store, I couldn't put it down and bought it right after with tears still in my eyes. Thomas Kinkade is an extremely talented illustrator and the story is amazing. I read it in church as the message one week, it is just terrific!
A Christmas Blessing
I have been collecting and reading Christmas books with my children for over ten years, and this is one of our Top Ten! A warm and thoughtful story, with glorious illustrations. This book is an absolute 'must have' for your library and is a perfect gift!

There IS No Place Like Home
A father and his son discover that Kansas does have mountains, and many other wonderful things, as they spend a Sunday afternoon bonding on the plains of Kansas. The charming story by George Shannon is beautifully illustrated by Thomas B. Allen. Gorgeous pastels of the wheat fields, grain elevators and sleepy main streets will be quickly recognizable to anyone from the midwest. The twist is - the words and illustrations will make you see your surroundings in a new way, just like the little boy in the book!
Mountains in Kansas?
Hey--Kansas isn't flat-there are many hills, and this book is an awesome read---and sooooooo funny. You don't have to be from Kansas to enjoy the midwest humor---everyone from Kansas doesn't not have a dog named Toto! You will also find little tidbits of history.

With color photos of cards and players
Thomas Owens' Collecting Baseball Cards (1708-2) provides a primer on collecting, with color photos of cards and players supplementing the basics on how to start and value a collection.
Color photos throughout display vintage cards
It would be a shame to limit Thomas Owens' Collecting Baseball Cards to the young audience it was written for: many an adult collector will find this the perfect introduction to baseball cards, using easy language to explain how the cards are graded and what determines their value. Color photos throughout display vintage cards.

Excellent!
This book is very good! In this book, Dink, Josh, and Ruth Rose visit Wallis Wallice in Maine. Dink, Josh and Ruth Rose go lobstering, have a picnic, find a cave, and something else.
Just the right amount of mystery and intrigue!
Dink, Josh, and Ruth Rose visit an old castle on the coast of Maine and set out to discover what is making the screeching sounds which everyone believes to be a ghost! Along the way they run into flickering lights after dark, a secret underground passage and a dangerous, water-filled cave.
My 5-year old kept flipping back to study the map and wouldn't let me stop!
Decoding and Encoding English Words: A Handbook for Language Tutors

Excellent Resource!
As an English teacher of over eight years, I found this to be one of the most useful resources for explaining phonics, roots, prefixes, suffixes and foreign word origins. I would highly recommend this book to teachers, tutors and parents. Wonderful!!
Excellent Book!
This is an excellent book for english teachers, tutors, or simply those interested in the mechanics of the english language. I found the last pages of the book--which contain cutout flashcards of the various vowels, consonants, and other common word segments (e.g. ble, tial, gle)--invaluable. Using these cards, I was able to help a student with reading difficulties dramatically increase his reading efficiency. The book also contains important exceptions to phonetic rules that pop up in the english language and which stem from greek, latin, and other languages. This is one of those books that when you've studied a while, you say "hey this english language is screwy, but now I understand why, and I know where all the exceptions to the rules lay, and know how to make well-educated stabs at pronouncations and spellings. The layout of the text could be, perhaps, better arranged. I think it would be better to have placed the flashcards in the front, and have an explaination of how to use them. Other than that, this book is awesome!
