Bottom line - This book provides tools to teach critical ethical principles to your child...enabling parents (teachers, etc.) to better model, inspire and reinforce these moral values.
I realize that I'm digressing from a review, but I want to say this. Our world and our lives have changed recently, but the one thing that remains the same is that our children are the future. And as Theodore Roosevelt said "To Educate a Person in Mind and not in morals is to educate a menace to society" This book will not only help you raise good kids, it will open any readers eyes and hearts, inspiring them to build their moral intelligence as well. We must teach by example...this book will help you do that! If you want your kids to do the right thing, then this book is for you!

Even though it's pretty thin, this manual is close to complete. It focuses on the eveyday pet owner, not just on breeders. There are not too many home remedies, it mostly recommends taking your pet to the vet. The section on recuperating a lost hamster is smart. Valuable information. It doesn't go too technical but it tells it just like it is. No kiddie speak. Also, most of the hamsters pictured are gray, just like my own Campbell's dwarf. That has made the book so much more enjoyable. There's a section on how to distinguish between 4 types of dwarf hamsters.

Michele Lanci-Altomare's touchingly beautiful book, "Good-Bye My Friend," gives us, finally, permission to weep. The book is a loving compendium of poems and essays written by a variety of people on the deaths of their pets, combined with tender photographs of pet cemeteries and individual graves in the U.S., England and Canada. If you have a friend who has recently lost
a pet--or if you've lost one yourself--a gift of this book is a gift of comfort.

dolphin. Dedicated to the dreamer in us all. It is about
following your own dreams and going your own way. A perfect present to give away. Especially to people on the verge of going their own way. Often they are very insecure about what to do. This will help them to take the last hurdle and jump!

I feel the information in this book is for the most part accurate. One thing that I think should be added into all companion animal informative books (whether it be a book such as this, made for the average pet owner, or a book as a tutorial for beginning breeders) is more information on reasons to NOT breed your pet. The overpopulation of companion animals in this country is outstanding. By educating the uneducated regarding breeding this problem can be brought under control. I was happy to see that it was mentioned to not breed your pet, however I think a more in depth discussion of it should have been added.
I thought the feeding guidelines were a little off as well, but I have seen much worse.
4 stars to Karen Gendron and Michele Earle-Bridges for a great book!

Once the convergence on Honeybee's takes place, both women seem to develop into their own personas. Forestine has a promising career, which is only enhanced with her performances at Honeybee's "gathers" in the Big House. Honeybee and her other housemates are a hoot. Who wouldn't mind living at the Big House. Viola comes into her own, a mature young lady who at last follows her heart and does what she wants to do for a change. The reader can really feel the atmosphere of the Big House with Ms. Smith's writing. I think she's done a wonderful job of bringing in the essence of blues and jazz into the story. Friday Nights at Honeybee's has a cadence of its own that starts at the front cover and moves throughout the entire book. I'm a jazz and blues fan and some of the names mentioned of other performers in the book were real which leads me to believe that Ms. Smith did her homework in preparing for the book. This always makes a book more grounded for me and I enjoy it a lot better. The melding of reality and fiction make for an interesting read. I really took pleasure in learning about Forestine and Viola, how two vastly different lifestyles yield similar results based on good values put forth by two families in two different ways. Read Friday Night's at Honeybee's, you will be thoroughly caught up and entertained.

Then along comes this book! Wow, what an eye-opener. Michele Morgan takes the reader on a beautiful journey to their own intuition using tarot. The cards finally make sense because I intrepret them for me, instead of by trying to wade through jumbled meanings, user guidelines, and rules. Everything in the card is looked at to enhance your understanding--colours, numbers, figures, how one card meshes into another--it's brilliant.
It doesn't matter what deck you use--this book is appropriate to all of them, because it teaches you to listen to yourself.
I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting a clear, satisfying, and EASY, tarot reading!
