This is a great "interactive" book. One that can help adults and kids talk about the pains of divorce and seperation and what it all means - and what it does not mean. My 8 y.o. step son (whose parents seperated when he was one) has liked to go through this and draw and explain his drawings to us! Good for all ages!

These 2 stories are wonderful. They have humor, wonderful
character development and very sensual love scenes. The stories
are a quick read and would be great for an evening of
feel good stories. Ms. Bardsley is an author to watch. Her
books just get better and better.

Pensacola Junior College has used Effective Communication for Colleges in our Business Communications class for several years. This textbook includes just exactly what we need to enable our students to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. The emphasis on grammar review is highly relevant and well constructed. The examples shown are timely and appealing to our students. Supplementary materials are helpful and easy to access. Keep up the good work!

As a teacher, I have found this book to be a wonderful story to read aloud to kids. It captivated my first graders' attention! They would always beg me to read another chapter! Eliza and Francie are two wonderfully funny sisters. Francie is tired of Eliza bugging her, and Eliza is tired of Francie never playing with her. If you are five or fifty you will appreciate the values and love shown between sisters in this book.

When his daughters' nursemaid takes unexpectedly ill, Alexandre Saint-Sylvestre must find someone else to care for the girls. His friend Stephen sends women to interview for the position, but since they all seem to have been roused from his bed first, none really seems to fit the bill. Despite the need of a governess, the children are thriving since moving to Versailles, unlike his deceased wife. Although it will take Alexandre years to help make the garden what it shall become in vastness and splendor, but he loves working with his hands in nature.

Alexandre has an extraordinary gift of synesthesia; that is, he sees colors in relationship to the world around him. When Margot speaks, se sees soft, yet tangible waves of pink. They are so real that he can touch them. So Margot's appeal for Alexandre becomes magical. He sees glorious color, a woman who can enchant butterflies and cast a spell over his heart. The first time Alexandre glimpses her, Margot deVerona is being pulled along by leash attached to a two hundred pound pig intent on snuffling out truffles. The next time Alexandre sees her, Margot is enchanting the butterflies.

Margot came to Versailles as a lady's maid, but then the duchess got herself exiled for making an inappropriate comment regarding the king. As a result, besides royal truffle snuffler, Margot must find a justification for remaining in Versailles. She only has a few months before she's to wed Baron de Verzy. When she meets Alexandre, she finds him fascinating. Rather like a new and rare insect that makes her want to crack her notebook open and begin making sketches. So when Alexandre asks to assume the role of nursemaid for the twins, although she initially declines, Margot finds him so intriguing that reconsiders. Nevertheless, Margot would rather be studying entomological sciences or mastering the constellations.

Since he was very young, Alexander has learned to guard his actions and emotions. Sights, sounds and tastes are so much more pronounced, represented in vivid colors he can touch, and if other know, they will think him crazy. Shyness guards him from gossip and rumors. The girls are his once strong connection to others. Only with them can be himself; until he meets Margot. Her inquisitive mind and predilection for mud amaze Alexandre. Alas, they only have a month before her baron arrives. Now Alexander must risk everything to secure a future with the bewitching woman he loves.

This wonderfully whimsical tale is a beguiling delight. With charming children, butterflies and magic, Michele Hauf creates the perfect enchanted tale. ENCHANT ME NOT leaves the reader with a warm, fuzzy, slightly giddy feeling. Very highly recommended.

I've referred to this guide every August as I create long-term plans for the school year. The ideas and activities help cement a sense of harmony and safety in my classroom. The program works because it builds upon the five sequential components of healthy self-esteem. I've implemented this curriculum in both an inner-city and a more rural setting--with success. Dr. Borba offers such endless ideas for all ages. This curriculum is easy to integrate into the school day, and it encourages school-wide participation. The program also offers powerful long-range effects: children learn to set realistic goals and define their sense of mission. A must-have for all educators and administrators.

Ms. Scott is a bit edgier than Mary Higgins-Clark, but her storytelling is juat as good. I thoroughly enjoyed this breakout novel by a first time novelist. I would love to see more of her work. I think she'll be right up there with the other greats in her genre. Kudos to Ms. Scott!

Anyone who dares use this cookbook will immediately know why just about every cookbook written by Michele Evans is on the "hard to find" list everywhere. I am positive that this is absolutely the best cookbook ever written - ever! Her recipes are simple. Michele shows you how to prepare delicious meals with a gourmet touch. Once you've tried one recipe, you are hooked. You come away from the table truly feeling like Jacques Pepin, whom she once studied with (except culinary greatness is achieved in as little as 15 mins - including dessert - in many of her best recipes here. Other menus take 60 or 30 mins, so you pick exactly how long you feel like being in the kitchen.) Wonderful! She has also studied with Simone Beck and James Beard as well. As a menu and food lover, I have gone through hundreds of cookbooks at the library. When I came across "Fearless Cooking" my family and friends fell in love with it immediately. I have been searching and searching for this book and finally located it at a library here in northern Virginia. So I tell you, if you can get your hands on this cookbook, or any of her others I'm sure, you will not be disappointed. There are over 250 "complete" meals included and over 550 recipes in all. Michele also included a section on cocktail and birthday parties, and holiday celebrations. And for the single men out there. Tired of eating out all the time but love quality cooking? Pick up Michele's book "Fearless Cooking for Men" or "Fearless Cooking for One". Even if you're an amateur, you will ace these recipes. You'll never "have" to go to the restaurant again. And for parents who want to share their love of cooking with their kids, let them start off with one of Michele's 15-min quick-and-easy gourmet dishes. What a way to spark a young child's interest and introduce them to the wonderful world of food! And it really couldn't get any simpler than this book. So if you love to cook and you love to eat, try her simple gourmet recipes. Why eat the same foods day in and day out? There are too many recipes out there to add spice to our lives. I had not heard of Asara Lovejoy before I got this audio program, but her suggestions really make sense to me. As in her other audio programs, Michele Blood's enthusiasm and sincerity, along with her wonderful music make this a program worth hearing again and again. I believe I can have true love in my life, even at my age! I highly recommend this program to anyone who is ready to change their thinking about love and relationships.
