Romance Lives!
This book is packed with great recipes for dinners with that special someone! I was very excited to see so many delectable choices. I chose to mix and match the menu's they suggest and my romantic birthday dinner for my boyfriend turned out wonderful! Also, the strategies for occupying the kids made it much easier to get the dinner made and really helped us enjoy our time together. This is a great book even if you don't have kids. Everything I prepared turned out wonderful, especially the lemon souffle!

All the in's and out's needed for foolproof baking.
This is my all time favorite book. I liked that she was strong enough to put such a Title on a book when we live in such a so called Health conscience world. We all have to live a little and with this cookbook you can. I have never had one recipe fail that I've made from this. And if not for anything else buy it for her pie crust recipes and hints. It would make a great wedding gift for a bride as she explains all the necessary hints for baking, but in easy to read language. She doesn't scare you off by making you think you have to be a professional to do the recipes in her book.

An Outstanding Resource For Those Interested in Thailand
Goodden's book is truly an outstanding resource for those interested in the recent history and geography of Northern Thailand. The accounts of his travels through Lan-na are both amusing and informative. The level of detail provided is mostly unavailable in other formats. This book is well worth reading. Equally as good, if not better, is Goodden's first book, Three Pagoda's, get it if you can find it.

The Spindle Whorl: An Activity Book Ages 9-12 (Northwest Coast Indian Discovery Series)
Published in Paperback by Sasquatch Books (1997)
Authors: Nan McNutt, Roger Fernandes, and Susan Point

Fusion of art, culture, and literature -- it's got it all!
This book works on so many levels! In forty-one pages you get a multi-disciplinary unit of study. A spindle whorl is a tool used by Northwest Coastal people to spin yarn. McNutt spins her own yarn, so to speak, by telling the story of a young girl coming of age who receives a treasured family whorl. Included with the story are a variety of activities that explore the art of spinning. Teachers will find this book especially useful, as it also includes a map, bibliography, detailed research information, and even a sequenced unit lesson design. Students will surely find themselves eager to embrace the tradition of spinning when presented with this informative book that includes its own removable, easy-to-assemble spindle whorl on heavy cardstock. Consider purchasing the other books in this series, The Bentwood Box, The Button Blanket, and The Cedar Plank Mask to complete your collection.

Swedish Weaving
I have been looking for patterns for Swedish Weaving on Monk's cloth. This book features beautiful patterns with detailed instructions on how to weave their patterns. It starts with beginners patterns and ends with advanced patterns. My 12 year old daughter has never tried this before and was able to follow the pattern instructions given and enjoys this now.

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys this craft!
