Beautiful story pop-ups with wonderful Christmas music.
I've always loved the Christmas music of Mannheim Steamroller. Now I can share the joy of the music with my grandchildren. The little ones snuggle close and can play with the beautiful interactive art while they hear magical Christmas bedtime stories and the soft strains of traditional carols performed as only Mannheim Steamroller can. This is much more than a book. It's a treasure to be handed down from generation to generation.

Lovely portraits of love, loss, beauty, and bohemia
I found this collection (with essays by Cookie Mueller and Guido Costa) to be absolutely mesmerizing. The photographs are so compelling, you can almost smell the life and exuberance of these people, so aimless and free, and so close to the underbelly of society. Highly recommended. Especially touching and true are Cookie Mueller's short essays, well worth the purchase.

Another excellent job
This is the fourth year I have used this book, and I have found each issue to be excellent. Keys to understanding and interpreting the scripture are included, along with questions to stimulate discussion. I use the book in conjunction with other resources, with this being the primary one. Lessons include applications in the world. The #1 resource; just an excellent work!

Kids will laugh and learn.
Kids will love the attractive illustrations that effectively present the concept of opposites. The illustrations are very creative and attractive and helps children to easily grasp the concept being taught. The use of pumpkins to accomplish that makes it all the more fun. I think the presentation of the concept is unique and sustains readers interest.

Since I was a small child this story has always been a favorite book of mine. I have read it to little kids that I have babysat and to my niece and godchildren and hope to read it to my children should I have any. This ia a classic that the whole family can enjoy and I am glad that it has been around for so long.

North Woods Walkabout
A profound and wonderful book about life and the north woods of Maine. Nan Turner Waldron writes with the ease of one who has spent childhood summers on a farm in the north woods of Maine and these summers are what sparked her passionate and active works as a conservationist, naturalist, birdwatcher and nature photographer. It is a brave and courageous account of one womans journey to herself. This book is a must read! Another must read is Ms. Waldron's Journey To The Outermost House also on Amazon!

Beautifully illustrated
This book is a wonderfully illustrated strorybook set. I've read many different versions of the Nutcracker story, but this is better and more magical because the pictures make all the characters come to life. What's unique about this is that it has 24 little story books in one big cardboard stage. Each book has a number on it, indicating the date you should read the small part of the story on. The illustrator, Nan Brooks, has a different and unique style of drawing. I definitely recommend this book to anyone that likes the Nutcracker story and the magic of Christmas.

In the author's words (on the back cover): "...many of our moral problems stem from choices made by society in the 60s and 70s. On many issues, restraint was labelled legalism and absolute freedom was demanded.
"This booklet examines one of those 'freedoms' our society has insisted on having in recent decades, the right to wear less and less clothing in the public arena. The masses have determined modesty to be unnecessary, and that decision has had far-reaching effects upon our moral climate. When public immodesty became prevalent, so did immorality!"
