TRULY ENCHANTING
A third sequel to Dream Catcher, Enchanted By You continues with the story of one of Rachel Rose Robinson and Strong Elk Heart's twin daughters, Juliette Evening Star Elkheart.

While not as captiviting as the first book, Enchanted By You is no less compelling and offers more than a few heart-warming moments. Even though I find the hero of this book, Lyon MacLyon, not as arresting as Strong Elk Heart was in Dream Catcher, I find Lyon's two little nephews more than made up for his shortcomings. The charming little tots had one of the best dialogues ever written in a romance novel and compensated for the lack of funny one-liners found in Dream Catcher.

If you've read Dream Catcher, you'd want to know the outcome of Rachel Rose and Strong Elk Heart's family. If you've read Enchanted By You, be sure to get Dream Catcher. Now that's a story you won't want to miss.

Charming and sweet.
This is my very first Harrington novel I've read and I'm glad to say it was an 'enchanting' book to read. The characters in here I find really funny. I fell in love with both Juliette and Lyon and the bickering between them is highly entertaining. I highly recommend this book if you are looking to try a new writer.

Esperanza Rules!!!!
This book is amazing! I have read all the other books in the Spirit collection, but this one is the best. I like these books because they are about wild horses. Esperanza is a palomino(and Spirit's dam), so she is my favorite. ESPERANZA RULES!!!!!

A Very Good Book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I loved this series. I loved how the author took it from the horses point of view and not the humans view like so many other books have done in the past.

I hope Kathleen Duey ( the author) will keep writing!
I recomend this is a good book for any horse crazy people ( and the other books too!).

Essentials of Computers for Nurses: Informatics for the New Millennium

An essential introduction to nursing informatics
The third and latest edition of Saba and McCormick's text is almost completely unrecognisable to those familiar with the second edition, published only five years previously, and perhaps rightly so. This reflects, at least in part, the advances within nursing informatics over that time, one aspect of which is the increasing difficulty of any one or two individuals being able to cover, with the necessary degree of detail and expertise, all of the field. If any two people could cover the whole of the field, it is probably the editors of this volume, but they have adopted a sensible and pragmatic approach and brought in additional contributors to provide address many of the specialist subsets within the domain that is nursing informatics.

With over 500 pages, and 46 contributing authors, the contents page reads like a veritable who's who of nursing informatics, or at least, of US interpretations of nursing informatics. The book does, however, as befits the international involvement of the editors, draw on expertise from around the world, and includes contributions from all parts of the world, particularly in addressing the international perspectives.

The book is divided into 11 sections, and begins with an overview of the development of nurses' use of computers and of nursing informatics. It then covers informatics theory, practice, administrative, research and educational applications, as well as some of the international perspectives and emerging areas such as consumer health informatics.

I would recommend this book to all who have an interest in nursing informatics. It provides a valuable introduction to the field as a whole, and to specific applications, and good references to further reading.

A Must Have for Personal or Professional Library
Computers have revolutionized the workplace in many industries. However, healthcare is just beginning to grapple with the many opportunities that integrated computer systems can provide. With the quickening pace of computer innovation, many clinical healthcare workers cannot and do not have the time to sift through all the various aspects of how computers and medicine interact. Essentials of Computers for Nurses provides a strong foundation for busy professionals, researchers, and administrators in health care organizaitons. I found the book fascinating with each individual contributing author having insightful comments valuable information in their area of expertise. The overview of how medical informatics is used throughout the world was particulary helpful where we are and where we are going. The last chapter was especially welcome and has enhanced my view of how computers will impact the every day delivery of healthcare. Overall, Essentials of Computers for Nurses is an excellent book and should be a part of a professional library for not only nurses but also informatics specialists throughout the healthcare industry.

Russia Revealed
A few years ago, my father came home from a trip to Russia, he brought some matroyoshka nesting dolls and a gold toned porcelain hand painted serving dish. Now that one of my best friends is living in Russia, I was even more interested in seeing what her new world looks like.

As the largest country in the world, there is so much to see although I would not mind heading over there to see a Siberian tiger! You will love the pictures of the ice festival in which the winter is enlivened with sculptures carved out of ice. There is also some interesting history to the story.

This is a journey from Early Russia to the New Russia. While this book is written for children, adults will find it very interesting for the historical details alone.

Educational!

A beautiful account of the history of Russia - not just for
If you are afraid that you need to read War and Peace to learn about Russia, fear not. Russia (Eyewitness Books) succinctly and beautifully illustrates the life and people of Russia. The content is a bit deep for the audience of 9 to 12 year olds. But there is something here for lovers of things Russian of any age.

Sharp Writing, Beautiful Illustrations
This book is a wonderful combination of storytelling, illustration, and biology! Kids meet all sorts of creatures from the Hawaiian seascape-eels, shrimp, limpets, squid, seabirds, and more--and learn valuable life lessons told in a clear, humorous text.

Many of the fables teach respect for kids' peers and the environment-while celebrating both. This is a book to read-and re-read with enjoyment.

Learn a lesson and smile!
Fables span time and space; they date back many centuries and can be found in all cultures. Handed down from generation to generation, the purpose of a fable is to teach a particular lesson, value, or to give sage advice. They also provide us with the opportunity to laugh at our foolishness and cry and comfort each other when faced with tragedy. They connect us not only with the world of nature and other cultures but ultimately they define what makes us human. In Fables from the Sea, the author has studied what the sea has to offer and discovered ten lessons, reminding us of the importance of kindness, honesty and perserverance. Her illustrator, a childhood friend, has taken those lessons and illustrated them in the most splendid and vibrant watercolors. A must for readers of all ages! Even adults can be reminded about what happens to complaining cowries! Like Fables from the Garden, Fables from the Sea is a beautiful and lasting gift, just one of the sea's many treasures. Back in the west
Ben is the main person in this story. They went west in 1845. His family went to Oregon. His doctor said it was better for him out there. I like the story very much. I liked how they showed the old pictures of the wagons going down the road. I liked the part where Pete pushed Ben and he hit his head against the tree. I also aliked the part where the oxen starting pulling the wagons and Ben sat on the ground. I didn't like the way Pete walked up and started talking to Ben. I thought it would be a surprise meeting.

facing west
My book is called facing west I like it because it has a lot of adventure and scary moments in it. They name things different then what we do. Zach and Ben are best friends it's a funny book too. Read this to find out if his family will make it.

The First Quarto of Hamlet
Published in Hardcover by Cambridge University Press (1998)
Authors: William Shakespeare and Kathleen O. Irace
Amazon base price: $60.00
Used price: $51.25
Average review score:

His father murdered, and a Crown bereft him...
This is - without question - the essential edit of Q1 Hamlet. Ms. Irace presents in the clearest way to date the several arguments for origin, being careful not to tip her hand in any one particular direction. The introduction is a revelation, the annotations are superb and unmatched, and the modernisation of the language is most unobtrusive. This is the kind of work that will inspire and invigorate the artistic and academic masses to accept Q1 not as "the bad quarto," but as an elemental part of the Hamlet legacy...

"To Be Or Not To Be, Ay, There's the Point..."
...Yep, that's how the line goes in this early, pirated, "bad quarto" edition of the greatest masterwork in the history of English drama, assembled and published on the sly in 1603, probably from the memories of actors who had appeared in the original production of the show. This edition is a cause for non-academic Shakespeare geeks everywhere to rejoice--it's a general-reader's version, highly affordable, copiously annotated, with an intelligent introduction. While no one will ever suggest that this text is on a level with the magnificent First Folio "Hamlet," it still has theatrical merits all its own--a quicker pace, a simpler, less dilatory structure, and, at times, a fiercer, more pungent sense of language: "Oh, what a rogue and peasant slave am I" here becomes "Why, what a dunghill idiot slave am I." Reading it gives a fascinating new perspective on the most towering achievement of English-language tragedy.

A must for those who loved the Flambards trilogy
In Flambards Divided, Peyton remains true to the spirit of her characters while showing us new sides of our beloved Christina, Mark, and Dick. I was deeply engaged in the story almost immediately, and I loved seeing Christina re-emerge as a strong, independent woman and Mark exhibit sincerity and vulnerability. The Flambards Divided story provided unexpected, but satisfying, twists and turns. I could not put this book down. At the end, I was genuinely saddened that this was my last opportunity to know the Flambards characters. A must for those who read and enjoyed the Flambards trilogy.

Essential Reading!!
This book is the long awaited sequel to the Flambards Trilogy, written some 12 years earlier. It continues the story of Christina Russell and her return to the old house Flambards. She is about to marry Dick, onetime stable boy, her husband Will having been killed in WW1. But trouble appears in the shape of Mark, Will's brother and old adversary of Dick - and one-time rightful heir to Flambards. Christina finds herself being pulled towards her feelings for Mark and in conflict with her new husband. This book perfectly rounds off the Flambards series, and Peyton has been faithful to her original characters. A delight to read - again - and again and again.
