Room for Cathy
I read this book as a young girl. Later I decided that I must add this to my book collection. I was so happy when I found it. Cathy's family moves into a new house and Cathy finally gets the privacy and space of a new room. When the family has to take in boarders and rent out her room, Cathy learns a lesson about lucky she really is. I have read this book over and over.

If I close my eyes, I can remember this one.
If I close my eyes, I can remember reading this one. I read it over and over and over as a young girl. I can remember laying on my top bunk with three younger sisters making a racket in the house and escaping to this place where another person, Cathy, understood me. A must-read for young girls.

WONDERFULLY DESCRIPTIVE!!
I remember feeling the warmth cast by the sunny yellow walls and really being able to smell the violets in the yard. This book will encourage your child to write! I still count it among the best books I've ever read!

An excellent book!!
I got this book because I love the show 7th Heaven. As I was reading the book I remembered watching this episode on TV a few years ago, but I only saw the first half cuz the last half was to be continued and I never saw it. I think that this book was great and I read it often. Lucy is on student court and has to judge cases of kids who have done bad stuff. Mary is mad because the coach locks the basketball team out of the gym because their grades are slipping. Simon gave the finger at school and gets suspended. Ruthie thinks "honking"(making a farting noise under your armpit) will make her like a guy and gets Matt and Simon mad at her. Mary and her friends trash the gym and almost have to go to jail, and Matt wants to move back home because of everything that is going on. I think this book is an excellent book to read and is really a whole lot like the show. It has a great ending too!!

7th heaven
Mary is mad beacase she cant play basketball anymore beacase of her school grades and then Mary crashes the school gym and almost gos to jail. Lucy is in the school court and has to deal with cases every day and saves her sister. Matt wants to move back home beacase he missed his family. Silmon is doing the finger with his friends and Little Ruthie is becomeing a tomboy while naging at her big brother.

Secrets
I chose to read this book because I love 7th Heaven. I watch it on TV. every Monday night. I wanted to find out what this book was about. For example: if it was based on an episode from 7th Heaven or just a book about them. I didn't really know what to think about how it was going to be. After reading the book I had remembered the episode. I thought it was written the way it was on TV. It turned out very well. I wasn't really what I expected. I was hoping that it would not be like any of the other episodes but it was. I don't feel the same about this book, because I thought it would be more interesting than it was. I think the only reason it wasn't was because I knew what was going to happen because I saw it on TV.
I would describe this book as funny in some parts, exciting, and easy to get into. This book is considered to be fiction. The author is Amanda Christie. The main characters are Mary, Lucy, Simon, Ruthie, Samuel, David, Matt, John, Shana, Eric, and Annie. The setting took place in Glenoak, California at the Camden house, Matt's apartment, and at school. The story is about Mary getting in trouble all the time. Her grades slip, basketball season is ruined, she lost her scholarship, she trashed the gym, and for anything else you can think of. Matt decided to move back home to help, but soon discovered they didn't need anymore help.
I liked this book because I like 7th Heaven! It's a very interesting and an exciting TV. show. The only reason I didn't like this book was because everything that happened I knew what was coming. It's not fun to read a book like that. Another reason I liked this book was because I like the characters. Lucy is my favorite. Mary was pretty cool until she trashed the school gym!
In conclusion, I'm going to recommend you read this book because it's very exciting! Most-likely teenagers would enjoy Secrets the most. If you have read it and don't like it maybe you should try reading it one more time to make sure of your decision. From my opinion between a one through a five I would choose a five. Five is being the best! It was a great book!

Inspiring Childrens Book
I wish I had been read such a story when I was young so I could visualize, personalize the heavenly experience. My son loves to read this book. Sometimes we alternate reading pages. I thank the author for such a lovely contribution to our library.

For kids and "adult kids" alike
An excellent book with wonderful illustrations. The text is not heavy and is great for beginning discussions with your children or just stirring thought in yourself. The quoted scripture is very appropriate. Great for an adult who may be forgetting the simplicity of faith and the hopefulness it brings. I had the opportunity to meet the author in Nashville and she is an inspiring person herself. I am glad she was so persistant in finding a publisher for her book so I can share it with others as she shares her God given gift with us in this book.

Inspired
A beautiful book for the young and young at heart. The illustrations are wonderful, bright colors & enchanting images! Simply amazing. Bring God into you childrens life on a daily basis by reading it to them or having them read it to you.

Loving the children, all of us
Catherine Meyer's book really hit home. There were tears as I read every page. The tragedy of Mrs. Meyer's children and her relationship is becoming more and more evident in our society. All parents and childcare workers should read this book. I too, live in this terrible situation with Mrs. Meyer and can feel her pain. It has been four years and we see little or no results. Prayer has been the only answer to this. My heart goes out to all children, mothers, fathers, and

grandparents who are alienated from each other. Blessings to all of you.

unbelievably unjust
If this horrible thing can happen to Catherine Meyer with little hope for resolution, think of how many others out there who are not as visible but are experiencing the same nightmare. The whole thing is tragic and wrong!

A must read. Children and parents need to be protected.
As soon as I finished reading this book, I knew that I had to include it as part of my library for reference. I found some familiar phrases, thoughts and ideas within the covers. I am also a left behind parent. My daughter was unlawfully abducted from the United States to Austria in 1995. I think it is important to communicate the harsh reality of International Parental Child Abuction and the responses of various countries involved in this matter. I thought that the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction was explained clearly in the book. It is most noteworthy to be made aware that there are countries which demonstrate a pattern of non-compliance to its obligations of the Hague Convention. I applaud Catherine Meyer and the publisher for bringing awareness to this tragic problem that affects thousands of children and parents worldwide.

Great book for toddlers
When Will It Be Spring? was first published in 1997 as a standard picture book before being released as a board book. This may explain why the story and art seem especially well done. Mother Bear and little Alfie need to sleep through the winter, but Alfie keeps misjudging clues and time and again wakes his mother long before spring has arrived. This theme will work well, I'd think, with toddlers because bedtime and restlessness are important themes to them. Alfie's eagerness and his mother's patience are shown in the beautiful illustrations as well as the text, and will make young children feel good about, not just sleeping and waking, but also about the unconditional support of their parents.

The Pictures Are Worth a Thousand Words
This is a well written story that doesn't even need the writing -- the illustrations themselves suffice to transport a child and its parent to a beautiful world of misty mountains and autumn leaves, winter's first snow in a peaceful pine forrest, spring flowers along the shores of a glassy alpine lake. And the bears are cute too. My daughter is only 19 months old, but the pictures are enough to captivate her almost as much as they captivate me. If you want to show your child the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone without actually taking the long drive to Wyoming, this is one way to do so.

Charming story; gorgeous illustrations
One of our favorite kids' books yet. Story is charming, but not "cutesie"; reflects some real knowledge of natural history on the part of the author, and the illustrations are exquisite - make me want to crawl right into the book - especially the final one of Alfie asleep in a sea of spring flowers surrounded by mountain peaks. This is one of a handful of children's book illustrators whose work I would like to have framed on my walls.

Stupendous
I applaud, I am awed, I kneel, (to the spirit of this book). The only crime is its limited circulation, and I have to wonder why. Wings kept me riveted from beginning to end. It was a wonderful book by which to start the new Mill. To Catherine I can only say thank you, and despite the limited cir., that somehow it will reach many people to help them understand their destiny, and the correct information of the helping spirits who are with us daily to guide and love us still.

She's done it again!
I am in awe of Catherine Lanigan's talent as a writer. She really has a gift to keep one clued to the pages. This novel, like all the others will keep you awake all night as you tell yourself, just one more page. It's just amazing to me that she keeps pumping out great novels, one right after the other! I'm sure that man upstairs is guiding her pen, especially with this one. You won't be sorry if you indulge in this book, it's a real (spiritual) treat.

Captivating family saga
The unabridged audiotape narrated by Anna Fields is absolutely wonderful. This story is so complete and entertaining I didn't want it to end. I recommend it to all romantic-adventure enthusiasts - it has it all, and more.

Powerful and inspiring
I didn't know as much as I would have liked about Passover, and these books were extremely helpful in becoming more familiar with it. Finding new perspectives on the traditional story and ritual was an exciting way to go about learning, and it really helped me connect to the holiday. In addition, the books just provide a great take on women's roles and accomplishments today. I would recommend this book and the Women's Passover Companion to everyone, whether you have thought a lot about Passover and are looking for fresh insights, or are just starting out and looking for meaning in the traditions of Passover.

Amazing Contribution
This book, together with its companion, The Women's Passover Companion, is a wonderful, wide-ranging compilation of beautifully composed thoughts, rituals, readings, and reflections by women from across an incredible spectrum of backgrounds. The two volumes represent not only a culmination of over thirty years of growth in the Jewish women's movement but can also stand alone as works that capture a breadth of Jewish women's voices at this particular moment in history.

The books are equally suitable for the Jewish professional and the Passover novice. No matter your age, religious affiliation, or political ideals, these books contain a multitude of readings that will resonate for you--and countless other readings from which you will learn and expand your understanding of the Passover holiday. I recommend them strongly no matter where you are on your journey through the wilderness.

Women and Passover
This was an incredible book. The contributors were very passionate about Judaism and women's issues and incredibly well informed about Passover and connected themes. Some of the pieces were funny and some were serious, some were academic and other were more relaxed, creating a divere mix. This book was great because it can be useful for anyone who appreciates Passover -- religious or secular and everyone in between. It would make a great gift!

This will definitely be a favorite of yours!
This book is too cute, my friend gave it to her mom with her mom & son's pictures. It really is unique & I wish there were other titles as well (picture me with mommy, etc.) One small complaint, the book is really really short. But overall, a very original gift idea for that special grandma!

My daughter LOVES to see her picture & grandma's
My daughter is 19mos and this book has been her #1 favorite for many months. She especially likes that she can point out the kitty on each page. The pictures and poem are great...makes grandma feel special. Would be a great gift for grandma!

Great book for one year to preschool!
I wish there was a Picture Me with Grandpa, Dad, etc. The cutouts for the pictures are wonderful. My daughter loves going to Grandmas to read it. The clothing on each page works with a boy or a girl.

Who's Who In Religion & Who's Who In The World
Your author, Catherine Ponder is listed in the above publications. She is often described as the "Norman Vincent Peale" among ladies.

The Chapter Titles are: The Miracle of Love, Love Your Way To Success, Love Works a Healing Power, The Resurrecting Power of Love, A Special Method of Love - Parts 1 & 2, How Love Prospers.

Healing and Abundance are discussed about Marriage, Health, Joy, Release and yes even monetary needs are discussed here within the context of the outgo of love!

Love will change your life
Catherine Ponder has got be one of THE MOST influential inspiration writers that I have ever come across. Her words are timeless, as are the messages, yet, after one reads her books, it is all really very simple, yet it is we who complicate it all, thus complicating our own lives!! I have read this book at least twice and it is one of my "must haves" in my library.

Ponder helps the reader look at all situations in one's lives though new eyes - the eyes of love and forgiveness. Releasing, forgiving, and loving are all that one really needs to live a most joyous and abundant life. "Release is a form of forgiveness that we all need to practice often. Emotional release is one of the highest forms of love." If one has feelings of low self-esteem, low self worth and feelings of helplessness, I guarantee that after reading this book, one "can" change themselves, as well as their life around forever.

We are taught through her teachings of love, that we can heal ourselves on many different levels, including success in our business lives. One of my favorite quotes (and there are many) from the book is, "Whatever your problem it is but a test in love. If you meet that test through love, your problem will be solved. If you do not meet that test through love, your problem will continue until you do! Your problem is your initiation into love."

One only needs faith and trust to conquer that which holds us in bondage.

I absolutely love this book and when fear creeps in, this book is amazing to refer back to once again let love shine and to live in the light.

"If you are not attracting the good that you desire in your life, learn to express love; become a radiating center of love: and you will find that love, the divine magnet within you, will change your whole world. . . When your heart is filled with love you will not be critical or irritable, but you will be divinely irresistible." (A quote from May Rowland as quoted in this book.)

This book is a pure gem - may you shine on after you read it!
Namaste.

A must have for every library!
I rarely read a book more than once, but I read this book 3 times in 2 weeks. Three days after the first reading of this book and using the affimations I had a demonstration ( I won something I needed that was worth $57.00). I was flabergasted. I never win anything. There is also a really neat method in it you can use to solve all kinds of problems (relationship, financial, health etc). This method has brought inner change and growth in me. Buy this book. It will be the best 6 bucks you've ever spent. It has been for me. I highly recommend it.

A good way to start out with a second language for kids
I bought this set for my 5 year-old and 8 year-old. For the most part, they and I like it, but I must admit it takes a wee bit of getting used to. You won't be able to just put the tape on and walk away with this set, you'll need to sit with your kids and go through it together. But if you're willing to do that you'll reap some very real benefits, and your kids will too!

Fun Learning for the Young
This is a great set to introduce Spanish to young kids. I have been using it with my four year old with great success. The book and cassette compliment each other well and really hold his attention. Each chapter contains several simple yet creative games to help reinforce the vocabulary and phrases being taught and ends with an on-going story in the form of a cartoon. I enjoy the program too!

Spanish for Children (Passport Books)
This is a wonderful program that I have successfully used with children from kindergarten through grade three. The kids love the songs and games. It's lively and a lot of fun. Just what learning should be!
