The Hole Truth
After spending three weeks in South Africa this summer, I realized the real effects Apartheid had on the country. After reading this book, I could envision the entire process of the rise & fall of their government as it happened, and the events that occurred in between. This book is a denfinite good read for anyone learning about or knowledgeable of South African history. Like all political cartoons, it puts current events in a language we can all understand, and helps us realize what's really going on. (Clifford Galiher, 13)

One of the best "full overview" mail order books available.
While no one book can teach you everything about mail order marketing, How to Start and Operate a Mail Order Business gives the reader a good overview of the many things that a person will come across when in the Mail Order Business. If this is your first venture in mail order it is a very good starting point. John Schulte Chairman National Mail Order Association

How to Stop Telemarketers, Junk Mail and Fix Your Credit (The Easy Way)

Anti-"junk advertising" projects that anyone can do, etc.
I most liked this book for its encouraging tone with step-by-step directions for confronting so much unwanted junk; and also for its clearly taught and very brief personal finance theory from the perspective of a "meet-the-customer" loaning professional. Additionally, he seems to remind us well of the connectedness between the mismanagement of credit and a lifetime risk of marital disaster. He then offers a better way for starting a smart credit history. Very kind humor has a portion in this book as well. I read this several months ago and applied the proportion most meeting my anti-junk needs (the book estimates the return on efforts). Other areas I've taken to heart, as was the author's sincere intent. Here are easy to do projects and ideas that pay-off personally.

It's great. Buy if you want to sell products via mail order
This is one of the guru's of direct mail. He started and sold 2 companies, then bought them back (Hennikers is the current one). He speaks from great authority and does not hold back any secrets. This is the guy who runs those ads for $4.99 Swiss Army knives in the Wall Street Journal. And, he clearly explains why he does so (to build his in-house list). He also explains all the profitability ratios, etc. I have heavily underlined this book. He has an interesting story to tell (he's an emigrant from Europe to South America to the U.S., to MBA school, to a corporate job, to his own business). His opinions resonate throughout this book and leaves no doubt how to do anything. This is a great book.

an excellent introduction to internet mail

This is an excellent technical presentation for anyone, whether or not they have a strong technical foundation

I buy the book for others!
The Internet is a great, illustrated guide to using the Internet. It covers every major piece of software from web browsers, to email programs, news, ftp and more. Most important, it doesn't explain each function of the software, as a manual does, and it avoids the long-winded explainations and anecdotes a Dummies book includes. To the point and very effective. I can't find it at my Borders store, so I order one here for each of my clients. (We are an Internet marketing agency...most clients are new to the web.
