priceless
I use this book all the time as an artist and a teacher. I wish there were a book for each one of the fantastic artists in the book, but so glad that here is a book about us (Black Women) by us (Black Women). The reproductions are many and excellent. A great introduction to Black Women doing art that get exposure on a more national scale

Good for a research paper.
It starts out briefly with a myth and it sticks to facts not fiction about the Blackfeet. It's not a very recently published book but it is good for a paper.

Called by God: A Theology of Vocation and Lifelong Commitment
Published in Paperback by Wipf & Stock Publishers (2001)
Authors: Francis Nemeck and Marie Theresa Coombs
Amazon base price: $17.50
Average review score:

A well researched account of the theology of life in God.
In this slim volume entitled "Called by God:A Theology of Vocation and Lifelong Commitment," Nemeck and Coombs have done a fine job of presenting the theological foundation and implications of living ones life in union with God's will. This is accomplished by defining not only what it means to "do" God's will, but also by defining what "is" God's will. This book is not only concerned with religious vocation, (i.e. priesthood, religious life, ministery, etc.) but rather one that concerns itself primarily with the fundamental human vocation of accepting who one is within the paradigm of creation, redemption and sanctification/transformation (divinization)by means of God's outpouring of love in Jesus Christ. This small gem is an excellent introduction to the ancient Christian theology of divinization (theosis)by participation in God's life through the power of God's Spirit present within. (They are also very proficient in the theology of St. John of the Cross.) I highly recommend it to anyone interested in the transformative power of God's love, and the response this initiates within the heart of one who experiences it.

A Comprehensive Guide to a World of Possibilities!
This book is an excellent guide for parents who want to be able to provide their children with appropriate opportunities to focus their talents and interests into a life path. The book includes many exercises and stories of individuals and goal-setting guidelines, as well as lists of questions to ask your children to help them identify what it is they would like to do when they grow up, a question many of us still ask ourselves well into our careers. In a world of bewildering choices, this book gives parents a chance to help their children (and themselves!) find an anchor that will enrich and bring meaning to their lives. I highly recommend it--you'll refer to this book time and again

A fantastic collection of Lenten and Eastertide meditations.
I found Christ is Risen to be a wonderful devotional book for Lent and Eastertide. It is very accessible, with short meditations for each week from Ash Wednesday to Pentecost, and the list of activities in the back is an excellent guide to focusing on the meaning of the season in more ways than simply giving up something. I very highly recommend this book!
