It happened "Just So"!
My favorite of the "Just So Stories" explains how the Cat, the "wildest of the wild animals" came to share the home and hearth of Man. Of course, the Cat resisted the Magic which the Woman made to enslave the Dog, the Horse, and the Cow. He tricked the Woman into accepting him on his own terms. And to this day, he walks by himself, by his wild lone, waving his wild tail. And all places are alike to him. I've read Kipling's classic a bazillion times in the past 45 years, and this is easily the most beautiful rendition of it I've ever seen. The large type and attractive font make reading easy for children -- and delightful for adults! The illustrations are simply exquisite! The "Just So Stories" have withstood the test of time -- more than a century -- and political correctness But I beg to differ with Kipling's contention that "three proper Men out of five will always throw things at a Cat." *Real* proper men love cats!

Living with cats I know it is true.
This has always been my favorite "Just So Story." It is good to see it in an individual book, as it is a little unwieldy as part of a group. This is the story of how woman domesticated various animals, yet had to deal on equal terms with the cat. We all know this is true yet it is good to find the origin of this truth. The pictures add a dimension and do not distract from the words. Rudyard Kipling is a master at this telling.

Two thumbs up.
I found this book to be very thorough, helpful and empowering. Having done yoga before pregnancy, I wanted to know what poses would still be "safe." I got the answer to that question and more. I highly recommend this book!

excellent yoga workouts
This is the best yoga book for pregnacy I have come across. I started practicing yoga two years ago, and I was looking for a book that would tell me what was safe and beneficial during pregancy, how to modify my poses and how to add new ones. This book did it. The workouts are based on *real*, familiar yoga poses, with some modifications to protect you and your baby. Frankly, I worked until the last minute, and never got around to practicing the meditations suggested, but the yoga saved my back. It never hurt once! Don't be put off by the new-agey "aura" of this book, if it is not your style. The workouts are just great!

Daily Meditations [with scripture] for Busy Grandmas
This is a delightful book, full of surprises,as Theresa Cotter reminds us that ordinary experiences can be occasions for reflection and thanksgiving.

A Gift for Yourself and Your Friends
Daily Meditations is my favorite gift for grandmas, especially new grandmas and grandmas-to-be. The reflections are new and creative. They are short but give us something to ponder during the day. They help me connect with the generations before and the generations to come. They bring God closer and make my life more important.

Pictures worth 1,000 blue notes
"Down at Theresa's" puts you visually into the Chicago blues world. PoKempner captures the people who are the music, while the blues plays through their image.

It's like I was there!
A great glimpse of the blues. The pages reverberate with such a depth of feeling you can hear the music. A triumph in every way.

A magickal tale
Theresa Chaze has written the first part of a magickal tale. I could hardly put the book down once I had picked it up and am looking forward to the sequel to this intriguing tale of magick.

Great Book
This was a great book once I started I had a hard time putting it down. There are some Grammar errors but they do not distract from the feeling and intrigue of the story. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading about Wicca.

Most Helpful College Finance Book I've Ever Read!
This book really covers it all - from financial aid to money management to real student experiences with paying for college and budgeting their time and money - it was the most well-written and accessible money-related book i've ever read. As I prepare for my freshman year, I'm now much less stressed about how to handle all of the money issues that come with college. Buy this book!

Great Tips & Budget Advice!
I thought this book would be mostly about financial aid, but it has so much more information that it's probably the most helpful money management book I've ever read. With quotes, essays, and interviews from students and recent graduates, this book is a great resource to make the right financial aid decisions, but also for dealing with all money matters including credit cards, budgets, and handling the stress of the college bill! I definitely recommend this book to any year college student! (I'm a sophomore.)

The Least You Should Know About English, Form A: Writing Skills: Form A

Authors: Theresa Glazier and Teresa Ferster Glazier

Used price: $4.50

THE ONE, THE ONLY, THE REAL AUNT TERESA
Don't be fooled by pretty pictures and a plethora of pedagogy - this is the real deal if you want to teach English skills - from vocabulary through mini-essay assignments, and all the simple, useful grammar explanations and exercises in between. The Least You Should Know About English Form A (6th Edition) can't be beat - certainly not by Form A 7th Edition, which is an overblown, expensive imitation of those giant workbooks we all know and hate. Glazer's own intelligence, acerbic wit, style, and simple desire to help students shine through every word of instruction, every exercise in FORM A EDITION SIX, but are sadly compromised as she collaborates with another author in FORM A EDITION SEVEN. Get the real deal; don't settle for an imitation.

The Most You Need to Know About English
After being tracked into honors English in high school and upper level English in college, I knew nothing about writing a correct sentence. During a career change, I was assigned to edit technical manuals. I could no longer limp along on my poor grammar skills. This book was assigned to me in conjunction with a community college class in English.

Wow! This book made so clear all those sentence diagrams. I could write a sentence with a sense of confidence in my grammar skills. I am purchasing this book for my son, who is just entering Middle School, to give him the confidence in writing I lacked for so many years.

I'd like a copy of this book!
Hi! My name is Theresa Therese! To whoever is listening, I'd really like a copy of this book when it is available! (That'll teach me for being so arrogant as to type my own name into a search engine! ... This was the no 1 result).

Photographer buff
The book was purchased for my teenage son who is very interested in black and white photography. He loves the book. A collection of Ansel Adams work in light and shadows in one book is worth more than the price. A must read.
