Excelent!
I really loved this book.I love pretty much all of Beverly's stories about the Amish.I might have to get the set of books 1-5 becaouse it was so great.I loved how Merry became friends with littel Sussie even though she's an Englisher.
I hope that Merry ends up with Levi and not John.0-o

Beverly Lewis does it again!
Beverly Lewis' Summerhill Secrets, Night of the Fireflies is good for teenagers. Merry Hanson's Amish neighbor's daughter, Susie Zook, is thrown into a coma when she and Merry go collecting fireflies in the darkness. Can Merry, with God's help, bring Susie back to life? A great page-turner.

AWESOME
This bok is very good. It really touched me, and made me think about my best friend and our relationship. I recommend it to any reader who has ever needed a friend.

This book is a godsend!
For those of us who feel intimidated by the relentless pace of technological change, this book is a godsend. Not only does the author help make sense of how new technologies are altering the workplace, but she also provides practical advice on how to make the most of one's skills and interests in such an environment. Goldberg writes with clarity and grace. The tips at the end of each chapter offer excellent guidance for adapting to a high-tech world and inspire the reader to continue to think about these issues on his or her own. All in all, a valuable and accessible book that can help readers find their place in an increasingly complex world.

A Must Read for Those Advers to Technology
I found the book extremely useful. If there is anyone who has an aversion to technology, this is the book to read. As usual, Ms. Goldberg's style is fluid and cogent. It is an easy read and well done. Congratulations on a much needed book in today's hi-tech society.

A great tool for reluctant employees
This is proving a great tool for getting reluctant employees to face the fact that they simply have to deal with computers. It provides enough information and tips about working in this new way, without ever getting technical, to get people relaxed enough to accept training with hope instead of terror.

Thorough and efficient program
Although the program is designed for ages 8+, I bought it for my homeschooled 5 year old who has been reading since age three. The results were immediate and he is whipping through the lessons painlessly. Minimal time required per lesson, only 15 minutes for the student and 5 minutes for the teacher. I highly recommend it, though it is expensive.

Give it 10 stars!
My 7 year old groaned every time we mentioned spelling. She had low confidence in her spelling ability. The first day we started this program--WHAM-- what a difference! She saw that she could spell! She loves the 10 step study pages. Also, she likes that you only have to study the words she missed and not 10 to 20 words a day for a test at the end of the week. In this program, you take daily tests lasting just 5 minutes. Then the missed spelled words are repeated the next day.

I'm looking now for the activity cards. This program is wonderful for homeschoolers and anyone wanting to improve their childs spelling ability.

The author of the book recommends this for grades 3 to 12, but used it with her 5 year old granddaughter. We are using it with our 7 year old who is an advanced reader. Also this 10 step word study helps her with independent learning. She focuses better with steps.

Extremely rewarding experience...Great information
The information presented on this tape takes you on a journey from where you've been to where you select/choose to go in your life. The author presents exceptional information that allows the listener to acknowledge the stem of their limitations, free oneself of the negative(fear, doubt, shame, undeserving) reactions/feelings bonded to these earlier memories and then offers ways to excel in areas of one's life with easy, extremely effective practice lessons.

Outstanding tape! Filled with valuable information
This tape gives so many great ideas and simple-to-apply techniques for improving self-confidence, it's hard to believe it's only one tape and not a whole series. The concepts are invaluable, both for increasing self-confidence in general, and for going into specific situations that might otherwise be stressful. It's filled with excellent affirmations and vivid visualizations that impress your subconscious mind in a very positive way. Her examples of what it looks and feels like to be a confident person are easy for anyone to understand, and she explains clearly and effectively how a person who does not feel confident can "act as if" (fake it 'til you make it!). I have heard this author speak live and she is terrific; still I was extremely impressed with the amount of valuable information, and the many excellent techniques for developing self-confidence she presents.

Way Down South: Stories from the Heart of Dixie

Memories of the South
Having been raised in the South, I can truly relate to these stories first hand. They were delightful, believable, and thought provoking. I finished this book quicker than most. It definitely kept my attention, and I congratulate these fine southern ladies on a job well done.

Truly Way Down South in the Heart
This compilation of short stories written by two accomplished Southern writers is truly the spirit of the heart of the South. As a Westerner who has spent time visiting through the South and making Southern friends while doing so, and listening to their stories, too, this book is thoroughly engrossing, both with the sadnesses and humor that characterize the South. For me, these "Stories from the Heart of Dixie" reflect my experiences with the wonderful people that are true Southerners. And the writers easily evoque those experiences.

A Yankee Loves Way Down South
If it is true that all good writing may be said to be regional writing, then Way Down South is a regional book that will speak to a wide audience. Nina Hepburn and Beverly Williams manage to capture a Southern voice that is warm and complex and centered in the chest. At their best, their characters will hold their kinky and complicated shapes in the presence of such immortals as Big Daddy and Blanche DuBois. "Mama's Elvis Story," wickedly funny and heartfelt at the same time, has already assumed a near-mythic stature for me. Southern readers will recognize their own in this book, and yankees such as myself will be touched by a soulfulness that can cross the Mason-Dixon line most effortlessly; for Way Down South captures a local truth that casts a wide net.

Cochlea Implant is it for me or not?
I had heard about this book from someone at Kapiolani Community college who knew I had an interest in getting the Cochlea implant. This book opened my eyes, because I was deathly scared of getting the implant, but reading Bev's book ...has also opened my eyes wide enough to accept that the cochlea implant might just be for me...Bev always had expressed the willingness to be able to hear music. to be able to understand the lyrics of the song thats being belted out on the radio, to be able to hear the phone without a third person, to be able to carry a conversation without missing a word...to wait 40 years like Bev did to be able to hear music, its kind of sad...>I really liked this book...

excellent factual, and emotional aid to cochlear community.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Found it engrossing, fascinating and encouraging as a parent of a child who has just received an implant. I also specifically found Ms. Biderman's honesty about her childhood experiences and processes and challenges in life as a result of her hearing impairment an eye opener, especially for a parent who is trying to understand from all aspects what my child must be going through in his new journey into sound!

Wonderful description of CI activation. Great book!
This book is a great read for anyone trying to decide if they want to get a CI or for anyone who might have already had the surgery and want a good realistic description of what the activation might be like. That's when I read it, while waiting to heal after surgery and before activation. As a matter of fact, I think it should be recommended reading for all CI canidates. It helped on that first day to know that even if I didn't hear speech, it would get better! Lots of interesting history of CI research and personal stories. Thank you, Bev, for a great book!

Easy and fun reading
This book is fun and simple to read. It reads like those familiar Dr. Seuss Cat in the Hat books. My children love dinosaurs and enjoy reading this book over and over.

GREAT BOOK!!!
If you have a Land Before Time fan in your home, this is a great book! It is about the beginning, when the mother dies, but it does manage to subtly get around the death idea. I know of kids who do not like the first Land Before Time movie because the mom dies so this book is a great alternative!

a pleasant bed time read
My son has every LBT video and has watched them more times then I care to count. This is the only LBT book he has and he loves it. The rhyming is fun and its a fast read for bedtime.

Invaluable PSI primer!
This is an immensely interesting book. As strange as it may sound to those who have never tried it, I found the concepts, explanations and exercises amazingly helpful in developing my psi abilities in just minutes.

Beverly Jaeger instills a sort of confidence in the reader that seems to be a large part of opening the mind to the process of learning. Small steps lead to cumulative victories. I would have never believed I could read colors after a half-hour of trying! This is amazing.

A must-have for those looking to explore their natural psychic abilities painlessly.

The Best Psychic Guide I've Read.
I can't say enough about this book. It approaches this subject from the proper perspective. Beverly Jaegers presents the subject of "psi" without the muddle of mysticism. This does much for bringing psi out of the dark ages and into mainstream science (where it certainly belongs). Her exercises were fun and frighteningly effective. I found myself experiencing many of the psychic effects with shocking clarity. This lady knows what she's talking about. I would recommend this book to anyone who's serious about learning to harness their innate psychic abilities.

Remote Viewing skills - made easy
Being rather new to the world of Remote Viewing, I found that "The Psychic Paradigm" offered me several different options on how to fine-tune my R.V. skills. Ways that are easy and fun. This book is a Must Read for those trying to get from HERE to THERE - via the Psychic Freeway. Thumbs Up for a Wonerful Book - presently by a Wonderful Lady - Beverly Jaegers.

Book Review
I really enjoyed Beverly Gray's new book, Roger Corman, An Unauthorized Biography of the Godfather of Indie Filmmaking. The story is exhaustively documented and chockfull of interesting tidbits. It is written in an easygoing, readable style and offers a fascinating look at the world of moviemaking.

A "must" for all Roger Corman fans!
Roger Corman is a Hollywood movie making legend in his own lifetime. What is sometimes overlooked is that he was also responsible for launching the film making careers of such luminaries as Francis Ford Coppola, Martin Scorsese, Jonathan Demme, John Sayles, James Cameron, Jack Nicholson, Peter Fonda, and Sylvester Stallone. Roger Corman: An Unauthorized Biography Of The Godfather Of Indie Filmmaking is the thorough, informative, illuminating, at times inspiring life of a unique, one-of-a-kind film directors who has fifty low-budget movies to his credit, and who has producers almost five hundred more! This is one well-written, meticulously researched Hollywood biography that is a "must read" for all movie fans, film buffs, and show business historians.

A Great Book About Moviemaking
Usually, these unauthorized bios of entertainment industry figures are either slick, superficial rehashes of newspaper articles cobbled together by pseudo-writers or vicious hack-jobs by bitter ex-employees out for blood. Not this one. Beverly Gray's book is a wonderfully written, methodically researched, indepth look at a movie-making legend, written by an ex-employee who manages to portray her former boss with warmth, wit and surprising objectivity. Gray's background in academia really comes through, not in the dry, textbook writing usually associated with scholars, but in the intelligence and smoothness of her prose. This book is as educational as it is entertaining, marked by exceptional reporting and insightful anecdotes from her first-hand experience as Corman's right-hand woman. You'll learn far more about Roger Corman from her book than the one he wrote about himself. Highly recommended for anyone interested in movie-making...and the business behind the business.

Wonderful book about the 60's generation in Hollywood!
I was able to purchase this book at the Denver Public Library yearly sale. One of the better written Hollywood memoirs you will ever read. As a recovering alcoholic and one who has pleasant memoirs of encounters with many individuals mentioned in the book, including Keenan Wynn, I recommend it to anyone who can find it.

Spellbinding account of delirium tremens and a healing.
Ned Wynn's story of growing up in a dysfuntional Hollywood family and setting will get your attention fast. He describes how after hob nobbing with the "stars" and becoming an alcoholic like his actor father (Keenan Wynn), and his actor grandfather (Ed Wynn), that his life took a miserable turn down a very dark and bumpy road. His chilling account of his dream state is an eye opener for those of us who haven't been exposed to what "DT's" are all about. Graphically, he explains what hitting bottom meant to him and how he took life saving steps toward recovery. Ned is a talented and entertaining writer who articulates his experiences in a way that can make you laugh or cry. You can't help but love and admire this guy, and above all, you want to read more of his work.

Although the book is out of print, I was able to find it at our local library. Also, it was great to read the author's note above...and it is wonderful to know he is alive and well and writing another book. Please hurry up and finish it, I need a good laugh / cry soon!!!

kem rogers, webb classmate likes book
What I read was true to my best memory. I lived across the hall--or in the next room--from Ned during those years at Webb. I recommend the book. I remember Ned's grandfather visited the school. My dad, Jim Rogers, attended Webb and his father, Will Rogers, visited during that era. Kem Rogers
