Hullabaloo ABC
My 22-month old son loves this book. In fact, we first took this title out from the local library, and he was able to identify and say aloud all the letters of the alphabet, something that he didn't do with his other alphabet books. Since he progressed well with this book, and enjoyed the pictures and letters, we purchased it from Amazon. This is usually the first book he chooses from his rather large personal library of books, and proceeds to read it to us.

EXCELLENT
MY 2 YR OLD LOVES THIS BOOK. THE LARGE SIZE TEXT AND THE BEAUTIFUL ILLUSTRATIONS KEEPS HER ATTENTIVE. EXCELLENT TEACHING TOOL! IT IS A BOOK I ENJOY, AND WE REACH FOR IT TIME AND TIME AGAIN.

Insights into Incest
"Incest and Sexuality" sympathetically and incisevely explores the effects of incest on survivors and offers both they and their intimate partners a great deal of information on ways to get past the abuse. The work deals with a wide range of incestuous circumstances, and either a survivor or one itimately involved with a survivor should find the book well worth the read.

Great Book. The first I read in my journey toward wholeness.
The authors do a wonderful job of connecting with the incest victim. They obviously are very skilled in listening to their clients and learning from them. I felt they were inside my head, writing my story. The guidelines for healthy sexuality addresses the concerns of incest victims very accurately. The presentation of the sequence of events in healing is very helpful to those not knowing what to expect or how to approach the pain an incest victim feels. I highly recommend this book for anyone that works with or is an incest victim. I also highly recommend Wendy Maltz's book--The Sexual Healing Journey. Cherie Swaters

Introducing Life in an Amish Family
This beautifully written and illustrated book introduces life for an Amish family through the eyes of little Susie Mae. Watching her mother, Susie Mae decides since she looks like her mother she will also act like her mother. Her actions in some cases bring unexpected results. How her mother reacts teaches Susie Mae how to behave under similar circumstances. The closing message is, "Let's be more like the Lord Jesus . . . together."

An engaging, strongly recommended, "read-aloud tale"
Just Like Mama is a wonderfully written picture book story by Beverly Lewis about Susie Mae, a young Amish girl who wants to be just like her mother - so she accepts the challenge to keep up with everything her mother does all day, from morning milking and egg gathering to berry picking and cooking for the whole family. Illustrated with rich, full textured and memorably colorful artwork by Cheri Bladholm, Just Like Mama is an engaging, strongly recommended, "read-aloud tale" for mothers and daughters, a true celebration of the rewards of traditional farm life.

Real Life
I truly enjoyed this book. The real life pictures created with words by Beverly Janai were quite intriguing and a very interesting read. I recommend this book to every woman for the knowledge that we're not in this alone, and to every man for just understanding.

Unbelievable !
A new poetic voice...real...allows you to own, feel her words...if you have been divorced...or have loved and lost, you will think she is speaking for you. This book is fabulous...modern, poetic renderings that will touch you. A great purchase!

Legends Of Chinese Jews of Kaifeng
This is the ONLY book I have read that paints a lucid picture of this part of Jewish history which is of interest to so few people.
The Journeys of the 12th century traders from Persia, many years before Marco Polo "discovered" China is a fascinating story beautifully told by Professor Xu Xin.

Authentic representation.
I am a docent at the Skirball Museum, Los Angeles where one of the remaining "Tiq's" of the synagogue in Kaifeng is displayed. We have had many lectures by visitors who are both residents of Kaifeng and experts in the history of the Jewish Community there.

The book paints an excellent picture of the history of a people, cut off from outside world contacts for 500+ years but still able to maintain their strict Jewish values.

One story that is not told is that, when the word got back to Europe, many years later, that the Missionary Matteo Ricci had found Jews in China Oliver Cromwell, the pretender to the throne of England, allowed the Jews to resettle in that country after being exiled in 1290CE. The re-addmission was done without an Act of Parliament. Cromwell was aware fof the prophesy in the bible which states that the messiah cannot come/return ubtil the Jews are scattered to all the countries of the earth.

The Kaifeng community had a Rabbi until 18! 50CE and the names given to them by the emperor are still used, very few are aware of their Jewish Heritage.

Not just another craft book
I have never found any other craft book quite like this one. It is filled with very striking projects and most projects have a little history included. Some of my friends are restoring Victorian homes in a local historic district. Any of the projects in this book would make very welcome gifts that would be displayed proudly next Christmas.

All the patterns are full sized with very easily understood instructions. These projects are actually very similar to items I have admired in a friend's antique ornament collection. There are also a couple of projects that are nearly identical to beautiful items I saw recently at a rather upscale winter arts and crafts show.

This is a book well worth searching for.

This book is EXCELANT! The best of its kind!!!!!
I love this book, I have read it from cover to cover a few times. Just yesterday, at our county fair in NY, I won first place and best of show for my version of the pinecone santa shown in this book. Thankyou for helping me achieve a real personal 'high', it's a feeling that doesn't come along very often. ALL projects in this book are excelant!

Eakman is the voice of reason in a world of chaos
If you liked her other books, this book is for you! "Microchipped" is a collection of B. K. Eakman's speeches. There is some overlap between this book and her other two on education, but has plenty of new material to make it worthwhile.

The book also includes an appendix that contains facsimiles of various letters, questionnaires, and parts of chapters that are referred to in her other books. This appendix is very interesting reading. For those interested in what is really going on in education, all of Eakman's books are worth reading.

Is the government teaching your child?
A sequel of sorts, "Microchipped" provides further insight into the issues raised by "Educating for the New World Order" in the form of five of Mrs. Eakman's public presentations during the past two years. A touching introduction places many of the changes we have observed in our educational systems into personal and historical perspective, after which the text of the speeches she has given will give insights into many related issues which have come to public attention. This book reflects only one aspect of the nature of Mind Control which permeates our world, which few realize even exists.

Held in interest from start to finish!
My husband and I both loved this book! We found the story compelling and simply couldn't put it down. We laughed, were moved to tears, and were thoroughly pulled into Ms. Rose's moving narrative of her life story. The details of her journey from successful psychologist to sidelined patient struggling with and settling the issues of her faith and future were powerful and unforgettable.

I believe that people of all faiths, including those still seeking, would greatly enjoy the genuine and moving experiences of Rose's family life through three generations....Yet I found myself held in interest from start to finish. Beverly Rose is simply a great writer!

As we read this book, many friends and family members came to mind with whom we are anxious to share it. We are looking forward to Rose's next book - we literally can't wait.

If Only I Had Encountered a Book Like This Sooner!
When I was growing up Jewish in the New York City area, my ethnicity defined my entire secular world, but left me spiritually empty. To seek any value in another religion was heresy--an insult to the memory of martyred Jews throughout the ages and a danger to our future survival as a people. Years later, only after living in the Deep South, displaced from my Jewish moorings, did I get to know committed Christians and appreciate their personal relationship with God.

If only I had encountered a book like Mothers Never Die sooner! This masterpiece by Beverly Rose crystallizes both Jewish ethnicity and Christian faith through witty observations and poignant dialogue. Never losing sight of a profound mother-daughter relationship, this book manages to dramatize an entire family's Americanization over the course of three generations.

As a result of Beverly Rose's own physical suffering and transcendent conversion from Judaism to Christianity, the author, a Harvard-trained, doctoral-level clinical psychologist, is in an excellent position to offer comfort and joy, especially to those readers who continue to suffer from a loss of one sort or another . . . and who seek healing. Yes, another book about "overcoming," but so much more.

I heartily recommend that you read this book. It will be a blessing, a true gift to yourself . . . and one worth giving to others.
