A Totally Delicious Read
This book is: well-written, well-plotted and well-paced, with realistic characters.

Its seldom one gets a treat like "And Love Came Calling" a lesbian western, which is also a love story.

The story revolves around two central female characters: Sophie McLaren, a recent widow who now has been forced since the death of her husband, to accept the begrudging charity of her domineering and dangerous brother-in-law, and Kendra "Kenny" Smith, a butch woman who has found it necessary to disguise herself as a man.

The story involves: a stagecoach hold-up, saloon girls with the proverbial hearts of gold, a fair & determined sheriff, outlaws, and a whole lot more.

This excellent novel has found a permanent home on my bookshelf, and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys strong female characters and a historical setting like the old west--you won't be disappointed, that's for sure.

This book is great! It is the 1st womens' western I've seen!
This book has a fresh story line! You come away believing that this could actually have been a real account of women loving women in the Old West! This author is wonderful! She is right up there with Randye Lordon and Katherine Forrest! I can't wait for her next book!!! (are you listening Rising Tide?)

A Beautiful Keepsake
This is one of the most beautiful miniture books I've ever read. The photography is stunning, even on small scale, and I've found myself paging through it again and again. I originally bought the book as a gift for a friend who was engaged but ended up keeping it for myself! The strong point of this book is definately the pictures. The text is very limited, and I didn't get any new ideas for a wedding that I hadn't heard before, but obviously this miniature edition is very much scaled down from the bohemoth original volume. A must-have for anyone who loves weddings!

A must have wedding book
I have been reading wedding planning books in order to prepare for my July wedding. Beverly Clark's books have the most class and tradition. I can not afford the large coffee table book but the mini-book is the same with advice and pictures. It is a nice small gift for brides-to-be.

Very very thorough
There really aren't any other books out there about "The Beverly Hillbillies," so this is probably the only one you'd be looking at anyway. But it is an excellent, thorough review with pretty much everything there is to put in a book about the show. There's chapters on each cast member, celebrity guest stars, the movies (however crummy they may have been), the creators, and a lengthy interview with Max Baer, plus an episode guide and tons of photographs. If you're a fan of "The Beverly Hillbillies," or just classic TV in gerenal, it's worth picking up.

A Very Informative Tool For The True Beverly Hillbillies Fan
This book is chocked full of information about The Beverly Hillbillies including episode summaries and guest stars. I highly recommend owning this book. There are several tidbits of details in this book that you can not find elsewhere.

Highly inventive
Unlike other BH 90210 books, this was not so much a novelization of an existing TV script, but a whole new idea. "The Gang" imagines where they will go after college and high school (note, Drugs, Alcohol and other tragedys do not happen to the extent they did post "high school")

Because it is devoid of the extreme non-monogamy, personal issues and drug/alcohol problems which did eventually surface, it remains a joy for original fans to read. Even though they are not squeaky clean, these young adults try to do the right thing.

Personal bias meant that I liked Dylan's and Brenda's futures the best, although the other stories are tolerable. Because this storyline was not carried over into the small screen, it is still very interesting reading. No matter how many times, I read this one, I discover all kinds of new twists and turns that had been previously overlooked.

Obviously, the script writers must have given permission for Gilden to use their characters, but then delved very far from that plot on the small screen. It's really a shame too, because I strongly suspect this could have sustained the show's ratings for a longer period.

Since it appears to be an "alternate" ending for the show, it would have been interesting to see what the chances of it's sucess would have been if the casting had remained intact and the show had run for more than 10 years. Brenda and Dylan would end up together after she became a world famous actress...etc

Much more than the numerous Fox specials, I think that this was the best tribute (and it was issued way eariler) to BH 90210. Even though it's hard for me to be objective owning the whole series, people who (for whatever reason) can only afford/and or find one novelization should get this one.

A Great Book
I love the show Beverly Hills 90210 and was very disappointed when it ended but this book helped me keep the show alive in my mind. It is a great book where the original cast in high school dream about where their futures will take them. It's a great book and I recommend it to any fan of the show.

Enter the Dinoverse!
I began reading the Dinoverse series this summer as part of a children's literature course at college. I didn't think they would hold my attention, being juvenile literature...boy was I wrong! The course ended two months ago, but when I found this book, the fifth in the series, I had to read it! My hat is off to author Scott Ciencin, whose work reminds me of my own childhood fantasies of dinosaurs brought to life. I work in a bookstore, and often recommend these titles to parents, looking for books that their sons might enjoy. These are great books for boys, jam-packed with adventure and imagination. I highly recommend the entire series! Can't wait to read the next book when it comes out in November!

Dinoverse 5
This is an execellent read! If you've ever thought about what it would be like to be a dinosaur, then this series is for you. If you are already familliar with Dinoverse, then expect another romp through time with Bertram and some new faces. Each chapter ends in a cliffhanger, and the end of the book will leave you wanting to get your "claws" on the next. I recommend this to everyone, adults and children alike!

excellent
This is Beverly Barton at her best. JT, the hero is wonderful, every woman's dream! The heroine strong, determined but still in need of protection. One of the best in the protectors series.

the best of protectors
Blackwood's woman is the best of Barton's Protectors. It has some magical elements (like the rings) but somehow it seems realistic dream come true. The heroine has been raped and hero has only one eye after the accident. Together they find a way to be a pair. J.T. protects his woman and together they fight the problems. The heroine's rape is an important and interesting theme in this book. She needs to find the key to be a woman totally again after a traumatic experience. J-T. makes sure that every other male around knows whose woman heroine is. This book is definitely worth a reprint.

And... Washington (the horse) was good ;-).

5 Star review!
from TT reviewer Angie Gibbs
Kerry and Terry McAfee are identical twins, and fledgling investigators. Asked by their zany Aunt Reba to help a friend of hers, the twins embark on a quest to find a runaway husband, but the situation quickly turns into a quest to find a killer. Tooling around the posh streets of Beverly Hills on a pink Harley straight out of the pages of Biker Barbie, the twins get more than what they bargained for when they uncover an intricate maze of blackmail, drugs, and murder.

With the help of their Aunt Reba and Kerry's former boss, defense attorney extraordinaire Eli Weintraub, the twins are determined to find the killer of their former client. Throughout the book, you get introduced to a cast of wacky characters, and two precocious dogs, a Chihuahua named Paquito and a Pug named Muffy. You are going to fall in love with the McAfee twins. Kerry and Terry McAfee are twins with very different personalities that seem to complement each other, as much as they spark off of each other.

Jennifer Colt has written a winner! A laugh a minute thrill ride, The Butcher of Beverly Hills will go down in history as a classic "who done it". From the first page, you'll be crying because you are laughing so hard at the quick dialogue, the kooky characters, and the hilarious situations that the twins always seem to find themselves in. Whether they are dodging police questions, getting beaten up by a mop-wielding janitor, or chased by an actor turned bodyguard, Kerry and Terry will hold your attention and keep you on the edge of your seat. The Butcher of Beverly Hills has been nominated in the Private Eye Writers of America/St. Martin's Press Best First Private Eye Novel Contest. This book is going to take a permanent place in my keeper collection. If you like a good mystery, you will not be disappointed.

The Butcher of Beverly Hills - A Screwball Mystery
They travel around Beverly Hills on a shocking pink Dyna Wide Glide Harley motorcycle that looks like something stolen from the "Barbie Goes Hog Wild!" collection. Twin red heads, one wearing a matching pink leather jacket with fringe, and a pink helmet with a purple flower-power daisy on the side.

I don't know where to start reviewing THE BUTCHER OF BEVERLY HILLS. It is that good! I spent the weekend reading it, and can't tell you how many times I was laughing so hard, I thought I was going to have to invest in new undergarments. It is
that funny.

Jennifer Colt is absolutely fantastic. She literally grabs
you with her two-page prologue, and takes you on an unforgettable ride with two of the most delightful redheaded twins, that you will ever meet. I wasn't even finished with
THE BUTCHER OF BEVERLY HILLS and already looking forward to
the next adventure that these twins were going to take me on. They are that addicting.

Terry and Kerry McAfee, twin twenty-something redheads, were born and raised in Beverly Hills, California. Identical twins
in appearance, but definitely with individual personalities. Due to circumstances beyond their control, they become private investigators in order to pay the bills. They aren't doing so great, paying the bills that is, when a friend of their rich Aunt Reba calls needing their help. So more out of the necessity for money, than for the love of their great-aunt,
they agree to help Lenore Richling out.

Right away they should have known that this job was not one
that was going to be routine, or easy. They had to meet Lenore in a hotel set up to cater to old women healing from plastic surgery.

When they arrive at the hotel they are met by a seventy-year-old woman, bearing bandages, bruises, and surgical tape. Lenore wants the girls to search for her twenty year-old soon to be ex-husband, Mario Vallegos, who has run away with ten thousand dollars of her money. After haggling over their fee, the girls finally agree to find him and Lenore's money.

What Terry and Kerry find while searching for Mario is considerably more than the ten thousand dollars. Murder, mayhem, drugs, abandoned pets, unethical attorneys, and the Russian mob are but a few of the obstacles in the way of solving the case. All surrounded by wealth, old ladies, and the
surreal world of Beverly Hills.

THE BUTCHER OF BEVERLY HILLS is a refreshing 'private eye' book that will have you laughing so hard, you will be crying. The characters are fresh, and brought forth in such a way that you can actually see them. Each one has a personality that draws you to them. The story is captivating with many twists and turns. You will not be able to figure out "who done it" until Ms Colt allows you to do so, although she does give you plenty of clues along the way.

Terry and Kerry are absolutely wonderful. They go through life with an attitude that is bubbling with enthusiasm and wonderment. The way that they look at the environment that they are thrown into is something that absolutely draws you to them.

Ms. Colt is an author that is here to stay, her humor and wit is beyond description. It flows from the pages in waves, and the reader absorbs it in such a way that they cannot but feel wonderful after having read it. At the same time they have read a mystery that is truly fascinating. One that is written so well that it cannot be put down until that very last page.

I can't wait for Ms. Colt's next installment in the lives, and
adventures, of Terry and Kerry McAfee. I just know that I will again have to stock up on Depends because I will again be laughing so hard at the antics of these wonderful red-headed twins on their pink Dyna Wide Glide Harley solving the problems of the rich, and famous in that ultra-rich world of 'Beverly Hills 213'

This is one book you cannot miss. Get your copy of THE BUTCHER OF BEVERLY HILLS now, because it won't stay on the shelves long.

This isn't a "male-bashing" book, honest! It just very sweetly glorifies cats. After all, a cat isn't better than Mr. Right, but a cat is sure better than Mr. Wrong! Enjoy! .....

This is a really cute book!
I loved this book and even bought several as gifts for friends. They loved the book, too. It's so funny and the drawings are great.
