Building a good book!
Henry always gets five stars from me, but when I was a kid my favorite thing about this book was the very idea of building a real clubhouse. It seemed like such a fun and cool thing to do. I like that the kids in this book take the initiative to have fun rather than expecting adults to provide all of their amusements, as so often happens today.

This book is the Best Book
I used to read this all the time and sometimes I still do.When i was young like Henry I thought about how girls shouldnt beallowed too, and even though i know its silly now, I remember. And thats why its good. I was a lot like Henry Huggins. And thats good characterisation. But i didnt have a dog. But I had a clubhouse. It was my garage and it smelled like paint.

This book is the best! I will buy it for all my kids someday, if they're boys. Girls arent allowed! ... just kidding girls.

It's, realy great!!!!
I read Henery and the Clubhouse by Bevrely Cleary. And I want to tell you that it was great! This story is about Henery Huggens and his friends, Robert and Murph who ars building a clubhouse in Henry's backyard. Henry, also has a paper rout to look after. Will Henry be able to build his clubhouse and deliver his papers? Well I am not telling you, you have to find out by reading this book!

Just found out about this wonderful book
I was haveing big problems with my 4 year old adhd son and his consler showed me this book and you know alot of this book was me! I really did not realize it till I was showed that I was just giving my son control of ME and I was not really being the parent. I was letting me son run My life and this book made me see that. THANK YOU FOR COMING OUT WITH A BOOK TO SHOW US PARENTS THAT THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A PURRFECT PARENT BUT WE ALL ARE STILL LEARNING! I am still learning to this day. My son seems happier that I am not putting so many adult decisions on him but that I am letting him be a child! once again thank you so much and I hope other parents find this book as helpful as I did. I do not own one yet but I'm trying to get one.Times are rough for me right now but as soon as I get back on me feet, And hopefully soon I will buy the used one. Hope everyone else gets what I did out of this book. Thank you so much Charity Castleberry

"PURRFECT" for all parents or future parents!!!!
This is a light hearted book about the very serious job of parenting. Sound simple advice that works! I am anxious for this book to be re-printed. I used it with my now 14 year son an would love an updated version to use with my 18 month old twins. I would definately give this book as a gift at baby showers or to those parents that are having difficult times with their children. So please, please, please give us more of PURRFECT PARENTING!!!

Ancient secret fundamental truths about discipline revealed
Everything you need to raise polite, nice, well-mannered kids (works for pets, too!) is in this book. It's not rocket science, but you DO need to be consistent, firm, and rational. It might be easy to dismiss the content based on the humorous presentation, but this book will solve (and prevent!) your child(ren)'s behavioral and discipline issues.

PLEASE REPUBLISH THIS TITLE! We loaned ours out and it is gone. We want to give this book to all our friends with kids, but can't and now we can't lend it.

Another Fabulous Write by This Fabulous Writer!
I am such a huge fan of this gifted writer! Beverly Scott is such a wonderful, sweet, and kind person, and a fabulous writer to boot! If you have not had a chance to read any of her great books then "RUTH FEVER" is a perfect book to start with. If you enjoy page-turning excitment with the perfect touch of romance then you are going to love this story. The characters are entertaining, and the dialogue lively, and the plot a real crowd pleaser! After you read this great book you might want to read her first novel, "Righteous Revenge." (I highly recommend both novels!) Take a bow my friend you've earned it to be sure!!!

Good Story
Beverly J Scott gave us another winner with her book, "Ruth Fever." I really liked this story about the classic car hobby it was an accurate narrative about a glorious summer event I have experienced often. Congratulations Ms. Scott on another fine book.

Charming and Delightful Novel!
A caring teacher, a troubled student, and a confused father are drawn together in a series of interesting events centering around the sale of a classic Edsel car. The story could be one that occurs in our neighborhood for the characters are so alive and real we identify with them immediately. At unexpected times, we are charmed by the clarity and flow of the lyrical narrative of the novel. Ruth Fever is a heartwarming story sure to hold attention to the last satisfying page!

Suspense packed
It generally takes me a long time to get through a book but I couldn't put this down til I finished it. Move over Salamin Rushdi. Any more details and the authors lives would be at stake.

Screams from the Courthouse Basement
When the book first arrived, I scanned the early pages and was intrigued to find a cast of characters and a definition of the Third Degree. What was this all about? So I read a few words of the story and the next thing I knew I had finished the story. This is a fascinating book detailing sordid politics in "small town" Pennsylvania and will be a plot source for mystery writers for years to come. All books should be so engrossing!

The pot still boils
Professors Peterson and Swimmer have written a fascinatingly unbiased account of a period where nobody was unbiased. I first heard about the case in American History class when my teacher ranted on and on about sneaky lawyers getting the guilty off. He was talking about John Duggan, Jr., my grandfather. That was in 1958. The numbers racket was still quite popular, sports betting a malor industry, politics intimate to everyone, unions a subject to start fights in bars. Bev and Wolf researched to the max. It is unfortunate that only one of the participants was still alive when they started but. The authors have captured the wild personalities, the trial ploys, the volatile political setting, the questionable media coverage, the nature of policemen, the effect of friendship and political and professional affiliations on prosecutions and trials. And the effect of huge egos and political aspirations on the legal process. The book is fantastic and delightfully accurate (as best we can tell). I only wish it had been about a thousand pages longer. If it weren't so darn readable it should be mandatory reading in every civics class. There are so many lessons to be learned from it.

one of the best
Incredible book. One of the few romantic historical novels that you can never forget.Realistic and mesmerizing. The characters are real and you feel their pain, and love deeply.

hauntingly beautiful
Probably the best romantic historical book I have ever read.I,ve read hundreds of books in my lifeincluding alot of silly romance that are totally unrealistic. The heroine in this book in her darkest hours is thin and dirty ,hungry and terrified because of what is happening to her family and her people. She has the love of two men,and in turn loves both of them in different ways. This incredible love story is hauntingly beautiful and unforgettable. The tragedy of the American Indian hits home .It makes one cry.Beverly Bird puts to shame the rest of the romance authors with her realistic historic events and what our society did to a proud people. Please continue to give us more of the same Beverly.

One of the best books I have ever read.
This is a great book and I recommend it to any one to read it. An extremely moving and eye opening understanding of love in an Indian way of life.

Passion From the Heart
Beverly's writing is so creative and imaginative, and at the same time down-to-earth. I loved her book so much. It is about her past experiences and the people she loved, like her mother and sister, and she's put her feelings about them in beautiful words. I hope to be a writer or a teacher when I'm an adult. These are my dreams. Her book has inspired me to read and explore more poetry. So many people tell you that you can't do something or achieve the things you say you want to aspire for. Well, I liked her book so much that I have turned it into a book report for school. I got an 'A+' on the report, not so much because of my book report skills, but because the book is so wonderful and easy to understand and explain. There is so much beauty in life and her book was so positive in so many ways, and you wouldn't see certain beauties around you unless you read this book. It's an eye opener. She makes your imagination come to life with the words and feelings she uses to describe her walk through this life and the people in it. I've also had the privilege to have met Beverly Romero. She autographed my book and she was so nice and pleasant and genuine, proving to me that she didn't just write for the purpose of writing. She writes and expresses herself from the depths of her soul and that is why she is a successful human being. I hope to be like her someday, and I hope to meet her again, and I hope she continues writing because I am her number one fan. I'm only 9 ½ years old, but from reading her thoughts and meeting the person behind those thoughts, and by watching grown-ups and how they act and respond to the life situations that she describes, she has opened my eyes and mind to things that I believe a lot of adults would benefit from by reading her book. I think that this writer is a wonderful person, and I am looking forward to reading more of her books. Please continue writing Ms. Romero!

best poetry
I would have to say this is one of the best poetry books i have read.I love reading poetry and when i read this book you could tell it was straight from the heart exspecially the poems for her sister and mom.I hope Beverly Romero has success with this book here and decides to sit down and write some more poetry books. If you like poetry i would advise you to get this book and enjoy it like i have.

Revealing and emotional
Unforgettable Impressions is a revealing journey of Ms. Romero's life. She shares her thoughts and emotions in a way that conjures images or opens your eyes to a different view. Such a brave way to show herself and what truly is in her heart. Wonderful book.

Mystery and history
Forrest combines history with suspense and comes up with an interesting and very readable instalment in the Kate Delafield Mystery series. An unpopular tenant is poisoned in a slightly seedy apartment block peopled by Hollywood employees of the forties and fifties. These eccentric and enchanting characters bring to life the era of McCarthyism and the House Un-American Committee, as well as nostalgia for the glamorous Hollywood of that time. Of course, lesbian detective fiction wouldn't be complete without romance, and Kate Delafield finds that in the Beverly Malibu. This novel has a strong story line and keeps you guessing until the last moment - I recommend it.

Great mystery and a reminder of past injustices
Owen Sinclair, a B-movie director is murdered in a hideous manner. This makes Kate Delafield think the murder was one of revenge. Through sleuthing, she finds that Sinclair was a "friendly witness" during the McCarthy witchhunt era. He spoke to HUAC (House un-American Activities Committee), which was the House arm of McCarthy's own Senate hearings. Hollywood was especially vulnerable at this time. Forrest skillfully weaves in information about that period through her characters but never allows it to overshadow the mystery. There are red herrings galore and Kate lets herself get emotionally involved with several of the people and there's even a romance in it for the lonely Kate who feels that she must protect the people she loves from the horrors of her job. She is also isolated because she is gay and must remain closeted to be able to do her job. The LAPD has a policy not unlike the military: Don't ask, don't tell. Every Delafield book reveals a new facet of Kate and this is no exception. If Forrest wrote mainstream detective mysteries rather than mysteries with a lesbian heroine, she would probably be as popular as P.D. James or Ellis Peters or Elizabeth Peters. It's unfortunate because all her mysteries are first-rate. As I said, the politics never get in the way of the story, although this book did introduce me to Scoundrel Time by Lillian Hellman, which I later bought.

One of the best...
This, along with Nightwood, is one of the best reads in the Delafield series. The murder plot and details are simple, as opposed to those in Apparition Alley or Liberty Square, and the story of the new relationship is unforgettable.

Twins, Murder and Mistaken Identities
Will they ever learn? These twins get into more trouble than playful kittens! It's a good mystery, with interesting twists. Bert and Nan get mixed up with murder and their attempts to solve it are hilarious and adventurous. A good story to spend quiet time with.

The Twins Are Still Going Strong In Their Fifth Mystery
Nan Tatum is tired of the single life. Deciding to try a new way to meet men, she signs herself and her twin sister Bert up for MySoulMate.org, an internet dating service. Soon, she thinks Mr. Right has replied to Bert's posting. Posing as Bert, Nan soon finds out that Mr. Right is Mr. Wrong. The next time she sees him, he's Mr. Dead. But when the body disappears, she can't get anyone to believe her. Dragging Bert along, she tries to prove she's right. Meanwhile, Bert is more concerned about patching things up with her boyfriend, Hank, who believes Bert signed herself up for the dating service.

This book takes the mystery solving twins through yet another harrowing adventure. The twin authors have once again provided plenty of suspense and laughs, and I could hardly put the book down. The alternating narration continues to be an asset, helping with both character and plot development. This is the fifth book in the series, and it shows no sign of slowing down at all.

Fans of the series will enjoy this book immensely, and I'm already looking forward to Nan and Bert's sixth outing. If you've never read these books, do yourself a favor and get the first one (DOUBLE MURDER) today.

The Twin Sisters are Back!
This series is a delight! For those who like mysteries that are lively, colorful, and witty - but low on the grimmer aspects of death, this is your cup of tea. This time the real-life, identical twin sisters have written a mystery involving an Internet dating service and their series' characters, identical twin sisters Bert and Nan. The twin's love lives, always an interesting feature of previous mysteries, are highlighted in this one. A trail of deaths follow the twins into the cyber world of dating. The dynamics between Bert, the traditional sister, and Nan, the nontraditional sister, are great fun. With this entry, the writers have continued their development of the intricacies of a twin relationship, as well as a sister relationship. The creative use of each twin's point of view in alternating chapters allows the reader to understand the motivation of each - but it also gives the reader an often amusing peek into how each twin views the other one! Louisville, Kentucky, is the interesting setting for these mysteries. More Bert and Nan!

Dr. Neil Baum, Clinical Professor at Tulane Medical School
This is a must-read for anyone considering cosmetic surgery. After reading this book, you will have a greater understanding of the various cosmetic surgical procedures and most importantly, how to select the surgeon who is most capable of performing your procedure. My advice: don't let anyone touch you for a cosmetic procedure without reading this book cover to cover. Your face and body are far too important to make a make a hastey decision.

The Studs Terkel of Cosmetic Surgery
Three cheers and two thumbs up for Dr. Bob for doing such a fine job of demystifying cosmetic surgery. Very readible, with ample good humor and loads of common sense. It's obviously no coincidence that Bob and Studs both grew up in Chicago.

every page is a gem
This book is addictive. It doesn't matter what page you turn to, it instantly draws you in. If you can't just eat one potato chip, you won't be able to read just one page.

I've thought about having some sort of work done for years and this book is a godsend. I was amazed at how much I didn't know and how crucial it is to know especially when there's some new "cutting edge" procedure every 5 minutes. Kotler is entertaining, easy to read, not at all technical and his desire to really help prospective patients (and not just his) really shines through. Too bad this wasn't around before Michael Jackson became the poster boy for how not to proceed.
