The chicken pox panic
I realy liked it because Abby kept a secret from her Korean broter Shawn. I think this is a funny book because Abby made a huge mess when she was baking a cake shaped like South Korea. I think this is a great book and you should read it too!

The Chicken Pox Panic
Wonderful & funny. Teaches kids what to do when something special goes wrong & how to still have fun. My boys ages 7 & 9, had a hard time putting the book down. The book keeps one's attention & is never boring.

Excellent Book Worth Reading Again!
I just couldn't put the book down. The book was packed with adventure. I felt like I was there, part of the story ar it unfolded.

I felt like I was there
Even though this is a fictional book, I think this has taught me so much about the life of the Native American people during this period of time. It did not list facts or events, but instead, it made me see this part of history was very real. I could feel the fear of these people fleeing from the armies as well as the change that they wwent throught, and I began to understand that these people were real, with thoughts and emotions.

Uncle Ray
Being a Grand Nephew of ray and never actually getting to meet him, (he passed away before I was born) it was great to read about the stories that were told at the dinner table by my father and his brothers. It seems that the VanNeste family loves to talk about the old days. My Grand Mother was Ray's sister Gunhild(Gunny).
When I was a child Aunt Ackey use to go through her old photo's of ray and tell us the stories.
Ackey recentley passed away earlier this year in her 90's and every one should know what a pistol she was. Thank you Russ and Bev for the wonderful job. Jim

Daredevil Cameraman
Daredevil Cameraman was an entertaining and enjoyable book to read. Swede was a pioneer in the movie business and spent his life chasing the best stories and ways to shoot them. From the decks of a luxury liner to the wings of a stunt plane, Swede set the standards for future cineography. I enjoyed reading the book both for the historical value and the insight into the life of a pioneer.

Don't Walk Home Alone
When I started this book I couldn't put it down. It was very well written and the suspence was kept till the end. I can't tell you why I really liked the book or I'll give away the whole story so I'll just say this is a must read and Its now my new favorite book.

Don't Walk Home Alone
I think that this book is excellent. It is written in a mature manner and is tempting and alluring. It is full of suspence and keeps you on edge until the very end. It's a story full of romance and a mystery. I personally loved it. I was so anxious to find out who the killer was I almost flipped to the end. I fought the urge though, and was ultimately surprised to find out who it was. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good suspenceful thriller.

Beautiful and Refeshing
This book is such a precious children's (and "grown" children's) book! Its simplicity and incredible art work was entwined to bring the reader "merrily rolling along" with all the rest of the characters. What a refreshing, sweet book!

A must for any library!
Echo's Song is a whimsical story about being true to your self, singing your own song. Beautifully written and illustrated by Beverly Moore. Highly recommended for ALL ages!

It IS brilliant
and loving. I come back to this one again and again as the years go by. It is organized to follow (or lead) the path along the journey of recovery and it's remarkably helpful. Yes, it is also comforting.

This book is brilliant...
I went looking for a simple book to read as an introduction into the process of healing from emotional abuse. I found this book and it changed my life. Filled with quotes, brief yet poignant advice and bold-faced affirmations, this book made so many things clear and helped me to sort out a lot of my confusion. I learned as much from this book as I gained comfort from it.

I have one recommendation to anyone who reads it: while you are making your way through the book make a note of the affirmations that really touch you. When you're done, go back and copy those affirmations on index cards and place them where you can read them each day. I copied at least twenty. My favorite one is "You deserve calmness and tranquility in your life. You've already been through enough storms."

Searching for Beverly K. Nye
Kristin and others...I have her first two books which I love. I used to live in Cincinnati and I have original newspaper clippings of her column...not complete though. They range from 1985-1987. I tried to locate her and sent a postcard to someone with her name in Ohio. Never heard back from her.

A pleasure to read
I love all of Beverly Nye's books, but I think this one is my favorite. If anyone reads this review and happens to know how to contact Mrs. Nye, please, please let me know. There's another book, The Best of Beverly Nye, and some newsletters that I would love to buy. Thanks! -K. Zeller

damn good
With all the politically correct retellings of classic tales flying around the book market these days I'm surprised there hasn't been one of these sooner. But now its here and its great. Some of the stories are better that others, Wuthering Heights, The Scarlet Letter and Gone With the Wing are the best but they're all amusing & entertaining. I only hope the authors will honor us with some more, maybe Antony & Cleopatra, Guinevere & Lancelot, Daphne & Apollo.

the classic romance meets the enlightened male--hilarious!
Ever thought that Rhett was slightly obtuse about Scarlett's struggle against the patriarchy? (Of course, Scarlett was pretty clueless about Ashley's unresolved boundary issues). That Heathcliff might have worked out a healthier way of dealing with angerÐand CatherineÐthan storming across the moors? That Sam's penchant for immortal one-liners (in Casablanca) was avoidance behavior? That Gatsby's deep-seated fear of intimacy was a dick thing and that he and Daisy would be happier in a third-floor walk-up in Greenwich Village? Me neither. I swallowed the heroine-trashing endings of all these literary classics without a backwards glance. But I like the ones in Frankly Scarlett, I Don't Give A Damn a whole lot better. They give the classics a whole new twist, never take themselves seriously, and are absolutely hilarious. Ashton Applewhite, New York City
