Good source of reference for HACCP subject matter

What a delight.

Hanne's adventures (and misadventures) range from laugh out loud humor, to shivering suspense, to tears when danger threatens the life she knows so well. I became completely caught up in the life of Hanne and her family. This should definitely rank with such classics as "Sara, Plain and Tall" and "Little House on the Prairie".

Its sad this book is out of print. Its quite wonderfull. I couldn't put it down! The characters, setting, and plot are well developed. Its a cross between historical fiction, horror, and mystery. The ending is quite a surprise as well.

A number of books have focused on health care for African-Americans. Most of them give advice on what should be done, how it is to be done and what to avoid. Staying Strong moves away from such a formula. It reclaims the ancient wisdom of African-American healing and points one to alternative methods of health care for African-Americans.

In a time where health care costs are sky rocketing, HMO's are calling the shots and the absence of a national health care insurance program for all, it is imperative for African Americans to be empowered in taking care of their own health.

Staying Strongs takes a wholistic approach concerning health care for African Americans. It takes into consideration the spiritual, mental, and physical dimensions that work together in assuring that one is in good health. One is introduced to the conventional and non-coventional methods used to bring balance to one's life. Each alternative healthcare system is explained and the pros and cons are laid out for the individual to make a decision as to what is right for them. This is an excellent guide for those who want to take charge of their health and are looking for alternative methods.

I am a first-grade teacher in the public schools of Guam, a United States Territory on the far western edge of the Pacific Ocean. My school's name is Machananao Elementary School. For some time, I have used thematic units to facilitate learning in my classroom. Near the beginning of each school year, I teach a unit on Diet and Dental Health. This year as part of that unit, I frequently played the cassette tape 'Healthy Habits for early learners'. My students truly loved the tape and every time I played it, they specifically asked for "Pump It Up!". You should know that I have children from about seven different cultures in my classroom. Some are from tiny little islands in the Federated States of Micronesia, (Pohnpei, Chuuk, Kosrae, Yap) and others are from either the Republic of the Philippines or the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas, (a chain of islands immediately north of Guam.) I have long been a strong proponent of the use of music to teach all aspects of the curriculum and am currently researching the issue in pursuit of a Masters in Education. All of the Heartmath Institute's information is wonderful. Another Heartmath publication, The Hidden Power of the Heart by Paddison, is one of my favorite books. I first encountered the Heartmath message at a Institute of Noetic Sciences Conference where they were teaching Freeze Frame. The Heartmath books hadn't been selling in the conference bookstore but after the Heartmath presentation, they flew off the shelves. Heartmath has done compelling, peer reviewed research demonstrating the connection between the heart and the mind - physically, emotionally and spiritually. If you can't afford to take one of their seminars, this is the next best way to begin. It will teach you the difference between care and over-care. Fabulous stress buster. Music on the included CD has been proven to have positive physiological benefits -said to boost immune system and DHEA production. I enjoyed the story of Blake, Erin and Glenda. Very touching. I recommend this book to anyone interested in heavenly/ghost romance.

Sara Jarrod has captured the attention of many readers with this stunning book. Kyle and Jill are two multi-dimensional characters, who both have enormous amounts of baggage from past relationships. This added with two interfering ghost who completely depend on Kyle and Jill to set them free makes a more than interesting plot. In this book there is hot and steamy sex but there is also a compelling and deeply emotional story to accompany the sex. It is fast paced and extremely enjoyable reading. I enjoyed it and I hope you do too!!

The authors and contributors to this book worked deep in the fine details of Houston's past. So much of it has been lost to the ages, but with Houston's Forgotten Heritage, it almost comes back to life through the fine photographs of the opulent homes and even the log cabins. It is a joy to show this book to many of my "old-timer" neighbors, who remember a building here and there, and even the old fixtures, appliances, and ways of life. We should all be grateful to the authors of this book for reminding us of our glorious past.

I never thought I would enjoy a book about insurance claims. However, this book was easy to understand and a quick read. I was lucky enough to read it before I needed it so I was prepared when my husband got into an accident. Without this book as a reference, we would never have won our case. With the book we were armed with the tools we needed to prove our case and get our car fixed. The addresses alone were worth the money for the book. I would never have known where to go to get my questions answered. The insurance company wanted to settle quickly but we insisted we were not liable and we proved it.

The book is full of definitions, references, examples and easy to follow instructions of what you need to do in many situations. This is a must have for any at home library.
