A superbly presented treatise
In The Eclectic Odyssey Of Atlee B. Ayres, Architect, Robert Coote (professor emeritus of architecture at the University of Texas, Austin) informatively surveys thirty years of the architectural career of Atlee Ayres, focusing on Ayres' residential architecture in the San Antonio suburbs of Monte Vista, Olmos Park, and Terrell-Hills. It is in these architectural designs that Ayres' eclecticism is most apparent. Coote studies twenty-five of Ayres' houses in detail including their plans, spaces, exteriors, materials, and structure. Additionally, Coote describes Ayres' architectural education, travels, and career highlights. Highly recommended for professional and academic architectural reference collections, The Eclectic Odyssey Of Atlee B. Ayres, Architect is a superbly presented treatise on the work and career of a most remarkable American architect.

A humorous and sexy novel about blue blooded Latin ladies
What a wonderful read, Gerson manages to drone in on some of the silly yet tragic truths about Mexican society. El Cuarto de al lado, is a redeeming story that revolves around three women who have been friends since their childhood. The main character,Carolina, is a well-to-do wife whose newly re-kindled sexuality leads her to question her life and change her friends' future.

Great!
This was the first book I read by Sara Blayne. And I wasn't disappointed. This book reminded me of Bronte or Jane Austin books. It was wonderful. I keep rereading it all the time. I am now a big Sara Blayne fan!

If You Love to Teach.... You Will Love this Book
One of the best books I have read on teaching in the church! Sara provides so many creative ideas to help any teacher, no matter how long they have taught, not matter what age they teach. Just reading the book, with her teaching ideas, encourages me to be a more effective teacher. Her book isn't a book you will read one time and put it on the shelf. You will read it and use it constantly! I am using many of her ideas as I train Peruvian nationals in a Bible Institute. I hope that they will not only learn about teaching but they will learn how to teach as they observe me using many of the ideas for hands-on leanring, getting the students involved and thinking about the Bible, not just sitting and listening!

Breathing an Espresso Livestyle
This book attempts, and on many levels succeeds, to establish the whole mentality behind espresso culture.

While other books on the marketplace establish core fundamentals, theories, and practices in creating the perfect bean beverage (David Schomer's Espresso Techniques book comes to mind), this book passes that by and dives into what makes the search for perfect espresso such a joy.

It is an unconventional book. It delves a bit into coffee history, then immediately turns into a cultural observation tale. And the next page has a series of recipes. Then it jumps back into other cultureal microessays, and more recipes again. Another foray into history and technique, then all over again.

Normally, this wouldn't work for me, but it does in this book. Along with great photos (though the macro only techniques start to run a bit thin by the end) the book attempts to recreate the atmosphere that comes along with pulling a great shot, or sitting at Deux Maggots drinking "un petit", or the like.

And in many ways, it succeeds. It will only take you an hour or so to digest this short book, but if you love the bean and the culture that lives around it, you will be going back to this book once in a while.

Excellent chartbook for visiting the islands
Handy chartbook for planning a boat visit to the Bahamas, indispensible for cruising around the islands. The charts show water depths and placement of rocks, hidden shoals, tidal shallows and other such hazards to your hull that might not be visually obvious. Many different charts cover Bimini, Berry, Andros, New Providence and the Grand Bahama islands, show common travel routes with waypoints, lon/lat and helpful hints. Interspersed are pages of text which cover money, groceries, medical services, police, marine supplies, restaurants, radio frequencies, where to buy propane, everything a traveller could want to know about a particular island or area. Well worth the [money]; it should pay for itself on your first cruise. Mine certainly did!

:)
This was such an enjoyable book. Ben Falcon is on his way home minding his own business when he realizes that someobody has been on his property and not only that, but they have driven over the side of the mountain. Ben races to where the car is and pulls a very pretty woman to safety before the car explodes. The only thing that she says is that she is looking for Ben Falcon, but that is all that she can remember. Ben feels responsible for her, but at the same time he is angry because he knows that if this woman was looking for him than that must mean that his father sent her. Ben hates his father and is sick of all the things that his father has done to get him to return to work at his fathers company. Ben finds a burnt wallet and is able to determine that the womans name is Jennifer Falcon. Ben is more mad than he thought possible. Ben thinks his father sent his wife up to the mountains to lure Ben back to Texas, but the worst part is that Ben is sexually attracted to this woman.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. After no response from Bens's father-Jennifer stays with Ben for awhile, and finds herself falling for him. There is only one problem-when Jennifer gets her memory back, nothing is as it seems. The romance and the mystery that follows is very interesting. I couldn't put the book down. There is one surprise after another and to to tell you anything else would ruin the story for someone else. Buy it-you will like it.
