Maine Central in Color - Old Pictures and interesting info!!
If you want to see older pictures of the Maine Central as it used to be this is your book. Not only does it have great color photos of MEC, but it has interesting info about the trains and the areas in which they traveled.

If you remember the Maine Central in it's old Green and Gold, Marron and Gold, or Harvest Yellow and Green this is something you need to look at. It brought me back to those days when my father took me to the train yards to watch the trains leave for there many diffrent destination.

Get this book and you won't be disapointed.

A worthy biography of a mighty man of God
Mel Trotter was truly a man with a mission. The author has accurately portrayed a man who made a difference in the world. Because of his alcoholism, Mel Trotter's marriage was almost destroyed and he could find no way out. He tried to end his life, but God stepped in and touched this man with His power and presence. Mel Trotter committed his life to Jesus Christ and became a new person. Establishing a Rescue Mission, first in Grand Rapids, MI, Trotter's ministry extended throughout the United States and continues long after he is gone. As a small child, I had the honor of sitting in his office many times as he and my father enjoyed a warm friendship. Even then, I knew I was in the presence of a great man. This book is well-written, is thought provoking and an inspiration. If God can change a man like Mel Trotter, he can change anyone who surrenders to Him.

The most complete book on fractions
It's easy to learn fractions after reading this book. It provides a step by step approach to ensure easy learning. I wish I had this text for my first math class ten years ago. This book stimulates the desire to learn math.

The axioms of arithmetic that underpin the the mathematical processes outlined in the solutions are precise. Therefore it has a wonderful balance between mathematical rigor and pedadogy. This is perfect.

Almost too realistic to be novel - Max is so real
Every now and then you get an absolute delight when exploring authors you only knew vaguely, or had not read for a while.

Howard Fast's Max is a surprise and a delight. Fast's writing style always keeps the story moving and captures the reader's interest.

Max is a masterpiece. whether Max is based on one of the true life pioneers of the movie industry I don't know, but you believe every incident and action.

All of the characters are real, and I really loved Max's ingrate mother.

This is my book of the year.

A Great Novel For The Young And Young At Heart
I had the pleasure of attending Rossford High School, where Mr. Michael Kreger teaches English. While I was never in any of his classes, friends of mine were and had nothing but extremely positive superlatives for the man. I also had the honor to see him lecture a few times about the subject of fiction in general, and was always amazed by his inventiveness, imagination, and sheer passion for life. This book relates the story of a young boy whose life is changed by a friendship with an older man, Melvin Howard. As the boy grows into a young man, Howard is always there with a sympathetic ear and, a thread common throughout the book, a great story to tell. This book is heartily recommended to the young, the used-to-be-young, the middle-aged, and the old. I echo the author's statement by wishing that this the first book in a long career of writing.

It's the story of how we got watermelons.
This book was written in a small town five minutes from where I live. She teaches at a middle school there. Melvin, the main character, gets wonderlust and decides to leave his home for a while. He meets these tiny people who grow wonderful melons he's never seen before. This is a great book that small children will love forever.

Mind Control Review
This is probably one of the best books I have ever read. The author describes mind control in enough detail for you to understand the book but not so much that it confuses you. I felt that the examples were great. A big thumbs up!
