I think this is the GREATEST collection ever!
I don't have every book in the collection, but I've read them all. Every book is very interesting and keep me want more. I think Miss Applegate hit it big with this series and I hope she continues with the series or starts another one similar to it. The only thing I'm not happy about is the fact that I can't find some of the books (#4,5,6,8,14 and Megamorph 1 & 2). When I want to re-read them I have to go to the library. I hope you can help me with this problem. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!

The Best books in the world!
I love the series. It is great. It's about an alien race trying to take over the galaxy. It's funny, entertaining, and an overall great series. Sometimes I just sit in my room for hours ready my Animorphs books. I have all of them. I have up to #27 in the series, the Megamorphs #1-2, and the Andalite and Hork-Bajir chronicals. I am writing my own Animorphs books. I have also designed my covers. I encourage everyone to read the series.

My daughter never reads.
My daughter never reads anything she doesn't have to. But she loves these books. I'm very thankful to the author for creating this series. She now has every one of the books and is enjoying reading through them. I would recommend them to any parent who wants to encourage their child to read.

lost 35 pounds
After adopting the ideas in the book, Complete Idiot's Guide to Weight Loss, I proceeded to lose 35 pounds in 2.5 months. I'm 5'10 and now weight 170 pounds. Hurrah!

Practical, effective, and informative
Hooray! Finally a smart weight-loss approach that you can rely upon for the rest of your life. I love it! And it works. Never preachy, this book is helping me approach eating, food, my body, and getting to my ideal size without guilt or silly approaches to food.

This is the lobster of weight loss books!!
I have learned more from half this book than I've learned half my life. This book has taught me all the things I've done wrong in trying to lose weight and how to fix them. Why all my efforts have failed, or if I did loose some weight why I did not keep it off. This is not a diet book it is a living book. This book is exellent "food for fat"

Adds pizzazz to midwestern menus!
As an amateur chef with roots in the midwest, I've long relied on little more than good ol' salt and pepper when it comes time to cook for the crew (except for a shake of Italian seasoning on spaghetti night!). But this fantastic book turned me on to a virtual phantasmagoria of new culinary delights! Even my husband, who usually balks at long john silver, is a fan of the italian fish in crazy water. One added bonus for us gals: we get to see what kind of footwear these sophisticated manhattanites are trotting around in these days. Ouch! I think I'll keep my Stride Rites! But I'm a sucker for the Cellophane Noodle Salad.

Oh to be the SEVENTH girl!
Witty, charming, well designed, user friendly, and most of all- the recipes are wonderful!

As a seasoned NYC home chef, the hardest thing to do is to come up with a recipe that involves little space, little equipment and little time. These six girls not only engage you with their wonderfully witty writing, but have simplified the difficult task of apartment-sized cooking so that anyone can do it and have excellent results.

Plus the wonderful photos of the food and of the girls cooking, shopping and dining really does make you feel invited. And the graphic design gets great marks for being as chic as they are!

I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of little cooking clubs don't start up because of it! [Word has it that they might be doing another book? Cross your fingers on that bit of gossip!]

PS: this would make a great housewarming or hostess gift!

A fantasmagoria of delightful culinary pizzazz!
As an amateur cook with roots in the Midwest, I've always relied on good ol' salt and pepper -- and maybe a little Italian mixed herbs on spaghetti night. But this book has opened my eyes to a whole new landscape of delightful tastes and attitudes!...but I'm a sucker for their Cellophane Noodle Salad With Shrimp.

Can Lucas get Zoey back,or will Jake take her away for good?
This was an awesome book!! There were so many dilemma's. At the end Lucas seems like he is fighting for his life. Why? You'll just have to read the book but, I can tell you this much, you won't regret reading it (unless you haven't read the other 6). Katherine Applegate did an excellent job with this series. There are so many cliff hangers. I really suggest you read this series.

Gotta Get It!!!!
I Just Love Applegate. She is the best and the Making Out series is too awesome. I can't wiat to get the newest book. But they come out monthly and my friends in England are up to like thirty something. That is so unfair! In this book I can't wait to see what happens to Zoey and Lucas And Jake and Claire. I just hope that Claire doesn't get with Lucas it just wouldn't be fair for Claire to get him AGAIN!!! I just hope that Christopher also realizes that its wrong to get revenge no matter how sweet and everything works out for Zoey's parents. The only person who has their head on their shoulders is Benjamin and I'm starting to wonder what'll happen to him. E-mail me and we can discuss the upcoming books.

This is an Awesome book
I love the making out series and Ben's in love is my fave. but this is my second fave. Since Zoey's parents are getting a divorce and have a half sister things are confusing for her. but something happens between lucas and claire which i wasn't expecting. I think Nina and Benjamin make the cutest couple and i recommend Lucas gets hurt. I can't wait for the next book Aisha gets wild.

CLASSIC
It just keeps getting more and more better. Aaron gets busted with Kate. Kate gets her nose busted. Aisha is finding herself in a little bit of a man situation. The only thing missing was Mendel vs. Cabral. You can feel the tention when these guys get within 200 yards of each other, let alone being 2 inches from one another. Benjamin really needs to get over himself. I once thought he was a great. He was in my top ten all time great novel characters. Now he is no my all time...[bad] novel characters list. However, I do wish Lucas would have connected with Aaron instead of Kate. I am still a K-berger fan.

Aaron Lets Go...One of the best
What can you say about this book without giving anything away? This is an awesome story line, filled with everything you've come to expect from Katherine Applegate in this series. I loved this book because we have a new main character introduced and we get to see things from his view point. As always, it has the emotional roller coaster so many of us have to do deal with. People are falling in and out of love, and making a breaking friendships. Excitement at one hundred miles an hour.

It made me long for the next one!
I loved this book! Katherine Applegate sure knows how to write 'em! The only thing I didn't like about this book was Benjamin. He really needs to get over himself! I am sick of his complaining! He and Nina used to be so cute, and I think he lost the best thing for him! I couldn't believe the ending! I waited for three weeks to get the next one. If you get a chance, read all you can. I have been reading them since last summer and I plan to read them as long as they are coming out!

Finally an intelligent way to eat.
Having been on every diet in the world,I finally came to my own conclusion that diets simply don't work. I was delighted to find that "Choose To Lose" not only agrees, but encourages you not to weigh yourself and simply eat generous amounts of good, whole, naturally low fat nutritious food. Since I threw my scale out and began following the basic guidelines of "Choose To Lose", I've lost weight, gained back my self-respect and have enormous energy with a steady stable mood throughout the day. Throw out all your diet books and choose to live right now!!

CTL: A Blueprint for Improved Health
I am a community health educator within a nonprofit health promotion organization. We utilize the Goor's Choose To Lose program as a cornerstone component in our cardiosvascular disease prevention campaign. The book provides a simple and logical understanding concerning diet and diet-related topics. As an instructor, I find the book and program very effective in educating people about the importance of proper eating habits and the effect of eating on weight and overall health. I tell my class participants that the program ensures success, the only question is their willingness and ability to follow the guidelines. Simply, put Choose To Lose works!

Healthy eating for a lifetime!
I lost 84 pounds in 13 months using this diet along with exercise. I have kept it off for more than 4 years without feeling deprived. Food is no longer the constant focus of my life but something I use to fuel my body. It's great advice and uses real food not bars and powders!

The Story yet gets even interesting
K-Berger and Jake in AA. Christopher gone to the Army. Aaron and Claire hook-up. It just keeps going and going. I really enjoy these characters; because they are easy to relate to. I really had hoped Benjamins vision would be restored, that would really raise the stakes of this storyline.

IT'S BLOODY MARVELLOUS
This book is one of Applegates best. The character truly develop into the people we can only hope really exist. It was smashing!

It Was Great
These books are really great. My friends use to make fun of me for reading them but once I got them to read one they have read the whole series so far. The books are so great that sometimes I think I live on the island too! I got hooked. I recommend these books to any teenagers.

Great book for beginning actors
I thought that this was a great book. Some stuff was really stuff that you would already probably know if you were serious about acting but I guess it's an ok book for beginners. It did help me a little.

A good book for aspiring actors
This book is pretty good. Some of the chapters were a little off the subject, but for the most part this is a must-have.

This book takes you step by step, through the whole process. It tells you how to present your resume, what type of photo's you should have made of yourself, and how much it will cost to be a working actor.

The second chapter, "BASIC TOOLS OF THE ACTOR" tells how you can use your body as your tools. The book lists warm up exercises that you can do to prepare yourself for an audition or play. There are vocal exercises and more.

In the tenth chapter it tells how some agents and casting directors like to scam amuater actors. It tells how to avoid them and how to get out of a situation like that. It says to trust your feelings when you feel uncomfortable about something. You should get this book if you want to know how to begin acting.

basic
Helpful but basic

If your looking for a little more humor and an easy to follow proactive guide with sound information try picking up a copy of Twelve Step Plan to Becoming an Actor in LA. It has been the top pick in NY this winter.

The Nun's Story

"The Nun's Story": an engaging text.
As a fairly unfamiliar person when it comes to Catholism I found this story most interesting and very well written. The flow from chapter to chapter was smooth. The story kept me interested enough to "read an extra chapter before retiring", for example. I could put it down, but waited with anticipation to start reading again. Hulme did a good job, to say the least, and I think the editor did do. As a prior member of our Armed Forces I found the discipline of the Sisters' admirable. As a Christian I know there is nothing I can do to earn God's amazing grace. Which is what the book is about in large part: how can Sister Luke justify herself to God? Well, she can't; but no one can! That's why Jesus came into the world.

This one is worth the wait!
I've read this book again and again for the past 3 years and I've enjoyed it each time. It's dept of character, the smooth writing and captivating plot still engages me. I was lucky to find a first edition, hardbound, copy after a long search around the world; if ur trying to get a copy and can't find one, don't give up. This one is worth the wait. U'll love every minute of it.

Wow!
What an amazing work! So many different things for so many different characters were developed in this book, and I couldn't have been more pleased.

Tolkiens Heir?
I can easily describe Katherine Kurtz The Bishop's Heir in one sentence: Brilliant. This novel, which is book one of the three part Chronicles of King Kelson, is absolutely brilliant. Kurtz weaves a rich tapestry of intrigue and war all set in an alternate reality.

The plot of the story is strong, which is typical of a Kurtz novel. She obviously is well read on medieval History (M.A. in Medieval English History) and religion, which adds a depth to this novel that most fantasy authors could only dream of achieving. Rather than take the worn out theme perfected by Tolkien (and then worn out by subsequent copy cats) she devises a plot based around the desire for power and combines it with racism and genocidal desires (themes from our own time).

No review of this novel would be complete without a discussion of Ms. Kurtz's use of religion to drive the plot. Something most fantasy novels simply brush over is the religion of the characters involved. If, and that's a big if, religion is mentioned, it's usually some bland form of paganism similar to just about every other fantasy novel out there. Not this one. The use of the Catholic Church, along with it's heirarchy of nuns and priests, bishops and monks, gives these books a depth I've not seen in a fantasy novel since, perhaps, the master himself. Like the Lord of the Rings, The Bishop's Heir reads like a great historical novel, rather than a half baked fantasy.

If you are yearning for a good fantasy with some magic, lot's of plot, and well written characters, you've come to the right place.

An undiscovered author
This is the first of her books that I ever read. I found her description of ritual to be very moving. Enough so, that I gained better insight into the attraction of religion.

She has created a world not dissimilar to Europe around the time of the dark ages. Reading one of her books makes you see the history of Europe with new eyes and interest. An added bonus for your kids who are just getting up to that section of history. She delves deeply and to great effect into the politics of a kings court.

I say 'undiscovered', because it is difficult to find her books in the library or at the book store, you can generally pick up one or two somewhere, but not the whole collection. However, those that know her writing, seem to always want more. Our local library has four of her books - all of which have been stolen from the library. While a pity, certainly she has a following.

I don't think she writes with a master plan, book 1-book 10 of a series. Instead she seems to write about something, and then explore what happened before that to this character, or after to that one, or 'between' events. Makes is difficult to get a linear progression of a story, but then history is like that.

Anytime I run into one of her books at the bookstore, I buy it.
