If you deal with RA, you must read this book
Anyone who deals with Rhumatoid Arthritis can benefit from reading this wonderful book. As an English teacher, I can tell you RA - The Infection Connection is well-written. As an arthritis sufferer, I can tell you that it makes sense. Dr. Poehlmann offers suggestions and encouragement I have not been able to find elsewhere.

Many of us just knew we ached. Now we know why we ache and that there is something we can do. It is notable that the suggested therapies and treatments are "do-able" by the lay person. Simply reading the book made me feel better.

The Infection Connection
I'm not used to reading highly technical books, but Dr. Poehlmann has provided a list of definitions that help me understand the unfamiliar scientific terms. Dr. Mercola's suggested Eating Program in Appendix 5 is difficult to follow, but it makes sense and I'm trying it as far as I am able. The book covers a lot more than Rheumatoid Arthritis. I learned a lot about allergies and keeping cartilage and bones healthy. I found surprising facts (all well documented), for example, that people can have both RA and Osteoarthritis, or why milk is not good for you, or what is the real cause of ulcers (and what to do about it). Mold and mildew are in the headlines right now, and this topic is covered in the book, so I know the text contains the latest research. So much information for such a small price!

Not only for RA Sufferers
Dr. Poehlmann has written a thorough and fascinating account of how mycoplasmas and other internal bugs can disrupt one's immune system, resulting in so-called "auto-immune" disorders and other disabling chronic illnesses. Moreover, she offers a possible solution, based on extensive research and case studies. The Internet directory of related sites alone is worth the book price!

Your child will absolutely love it!
I bought this at a book fair earlier this year for my 3-year olds birthday and it has been consistently in his top 3 favorites. Sung to "Shoo Fly Shoo" it at first seems repetitive (cows in the kitchen, pigs in the pantry, etc.) but things change halfway through making it a fun read for both parent/teacher and child! The big bright pictures are engaging for even the youngest readers and the older ones will have fun searching for the white mouse who hides on each page. Have lots of fun with this book!

Exceptional Book!
I bought this book for my grandson who is 17 months old and he loved it from the first day. When he is ready to read, he runs to the book shelf saying, "moo, moo, moo". I sing the book to him to the tune of "Shoo Fly Shoo." The illustrations are very bright and attractive as well. Dylan and I highly recommend this one!

Shoo, Cow Don't Bother Me.
This story (which can be sung to "Shoo Fly, Don't Bother Me") tells about the mess and havoc a bunch of farm animals cause while lazy Tom Farmer is asleep on the hay in the barn. He eventually awakens to chase them away, but those barnyard critters are a lot smarter than Tom thinks. The book is written in a repetitive style using onomatopoeia (oink, oink oink; shoo, shoo, shoo; shhh, shhh, shhh) and contains some very fun and cartoony watercolor and pencil illustrations. It's also a lot of fun to look for the little white mouse that is hiding on each page. Preschoolers really enjoy this book and it is fun to read as well.

The ultimate book in the Animorphs series
Fantastic, amazing, and thrilling all at once -- Animorphs #50: The Ultimate adds a new spark to the series that keeps getting better and better. The Animorphs and their parents are living in isolation in the Hork Bajir colony -- downtrodden and depressed, there no longer is a home they can go to , and as the Yeerks gain stronger and more powerful each day the battle is beginning to get worse then ever before. The only one who can come up with something is Cassie -- and as she dares to increase the numbers of the Animorphs, the others don't find it agreeable . But as they're left with no choice, they set out on an unforgettable adventure that Cassie can only hope for the best. With hope their only key, the Animorphs try Cassie's daring plan -- but will the outcome be as dark as they suspected? K.A. Applegate brings #50 The Ultimate to an ending that will shock everyone but admire Cassie's courage. It is a powerfully absorbing book, especially for a series -- and readers will be begging for more of the Animorphs series that has been turned so amazing -- and unforgettable.

The Ultimate book!!!!
This book was too cool! The Animorphs are stuck. They're living in the Hork Bajir valley in the forest with their disbelieving families, and shaky resistance against an attack, should one come. Jake and Cassie are at odds and there's in-fighting at every turn, which is breaking them up. Finally, when they realize they need a bigger army, they start to recruit new Animorphs.
Without a doubt, this is a classic book in the series. You can't miss it. The people the Animorphs choose are great, the climax is exciting, and the storyline is believable. Wonderful book, KA!

Will they make the same mistake twice?
The Animorphs are falling apart. Jake is refusing to take responsibility and be the leader they need, and the 'rents aren't helping with their refusal to cope with reality. Rachel is constantly blowing up at her mom for not facing the truth, that this isn't some law case and that they are in a real war, while Cassie's parents can't seem to realize that the Hork-Bajir aren't just a bunch of animals in need of help. They have no way of getting information about the Yeerks and if they are attacked now, the Yeerks probably won't have a problem taking them down. So they figure there's only one way they can stand a chance against the Yeerks, the morphing cube. They need more people on their side, but everyone remembers what happened the last time they gave someone the morphing power. And if they do choose to do it how will they figure out who's a controller and who's not. Kimberly Morris, the ghostwriter who helped with this book, did a really great job. Cassie's usually not my favorite character, but I actually liked her in this book. This book that shows how much Cassie has changed due to the war. It has earned its place next to #49 on my bookshelf.

Ben Takes a Chance and so does everybody else!
I love this series and its the best that I have read in like 6 years. Katherine Applegate is a great writer and she makes sure that if you read book 1 you're gonna have to read book 2 and so on and so on! Personally I think it could be a really good TV series even though I would rather read then book! So if you want to read "Ben Takes a Chance" make sure you go in order and start with "Zoey Fools Around" and work your way up! I would love to meet Katherine Applegate one day because I would love to be a great writer like her one day! much love

the bomb
hello readers! i love katherine applegate!ive been tring to find a good book series for years!i use to read baby sitters club but now im older and i need books i can relate to!i pick zoe fools around out by pure chance and i read it and now im on book 11 and i cant stop!my mom says i should go to the libary to read them but i refuse because the money you spend on these books are worth it!i cant put them down!i wish i would of found this seires a long time a go! when i get older i wanna be a writer and i wanna be just like her(apple gate)but i wish i knew who michael was that name is always in the front in the decication page but other wise i love these boooks and i will read them in till the day i die or ms.applegate stops writting them!

This series is the BEST!!!!
I love all these books! I just ordered 3 more online!! This was the last book I read, and it is cool. I like it how Benjamin and Nina are so close, even though I just read on another review that they break up. Oh well, live in the moment. Aisha gets proposed to! Claire is chasing after Aaron and he is lying to Zoey about not believing in premarital sex, and Zoey is making out with Aaron while still loving and going with Lucas. And Jake and Lara are doing something, and Jake is trying to quit drinking, but Lara is definitely not helping! My favorite part of the book is Zoey's little slumber party with all the Chatham Island girls, where they realize they aren't as close as they used to be. And oh, yeah, Benjamin is having eye surgery, that is kind of the whole point of the book. Anyways, it is GREAT! But I am stuck reading "God bless you Mr Rosewater", because my mother doesn't want my brain to get trashed by this series. Whatever! This is the most fascinating teen series I have ever seen! Too bad Katherine Applegate wastes all her time with the freaking Animorphs.

A story that puts it in perspective
I found Arnoldi's comic to be wonderfully honest and frank and I thank her for sharing it with us. The turning point of the book is when she becomes grateful for what she has, and what she is, and her horrid past becomes a memory and not a sentence. Three cheers for her dreams and her fulfillment. I too graduated college with a very young child. The love for her child is apparent throughout, and despite the horrid circumstance in which the child was conceived, it is clear the author views her child as a blessing and never a burden. The book is a stark graphic comic about the author's life between the ages of 10 and 21. The artwork is wonderfully descriptive and that which anyone can understand and relate to.

Life is hard, but you can somebody if you don't give up.
This is the true poignant story of a young woman and her struggles to make dreams come true. Katherine Arnoldi, raped and left with a baby at 17, was forced, out of necessity, to take a dead-end, hazardous factory job. Her dysfunctional family tried to crush her and her dreams; her boyfriend turns on her and beats her. Yet through all of her pain and despair she does not give up. Arnoldi shows, in her comic book form, that if you hold on and pursue your dreams that you can overcome the ugliest past. This book is a treasure. It is simply great. And because it is so good you will want to pass it on. This is a book that can speak to the broken hearts of hundreds, if not thousands, of struggling teenagers, single moms or not. Her enduring love for her child, her courage to change her circumstances, a little luck, and a few kind people, transforms what could be a disheartening story into an inspiration.

Touching and sweet. A great book
As an educator, I have found myself sharing this book with college aged women I work with. It's message is subtle, but strong. I'm so glad Katherine Arnoldi shared this story.

Amazing!
I recently just finished the 3rd book in the Everworld series, Enter the Enchanted. I loved it! I bought the first book and was hooked. I ecspecially liked how it's written from April's point of veiw. I love the fact that K.A. Applegate involves character's that are well know such as Merlin and hisorical characters like the Vikings and the Aztecs. She has added her own little twists to these characters. I can't wait to read Realm of the Reaper!

A very good book
When I first read this book, I thought it was excellent! With Sir Galahad and Merlin and the others. For me, I have always loved the Everworld series and look forward to reading more and more! When I finished this book, I admit, I cried because it was so good! In the near future, I know I will read it again! Make sure you read this one if you ever do decide to read the Everworld series, so far, I thik it is the best!

Revolutionary work, but basic and simple
Stu Mittleman has accomplished what seem to be several ridiculous feats. How could a man possibly run 1,000 miles in 12 days? How could a man run 100 miles per day for nearly 6 days? How could he do all of this and have a smile on his face, and minimal fatigue afterwards?

Slow Burn is revolutionary! Never would a runner imagine all of the little things that go into it. Mittleman teaches us how to visualize, how to use proper technique, how to breathe properly while running, how to alleviate the stress on the body, which foods we should be consuming, and much more.

This book is excellent, and anyone who needs to improve their physical fitness and well-being should set aside a day or two to absorb the information within. It's an excellent read.

Incredible Must-Buy for anyone interested in Health!
This book was simply amazing! Stu Mittleman covers in detail all of the areas that allowed him to run over 1,000 miles in 11 days. He covers your mindset/philosophy (if you are in a marathon you are not running 26 miles you are running 1 miles 26 times). He covers training and shows you how to slow down so you burn fat, not sugar, as well as proper heart rate zones etc and lastly he covers food. He'll teach you how to eat so that you put your body into a constant fat burning mode not sugar burning. His suggestions will help you to eliminate the ups and downs throughout your day and make it so you will feel high energy all day without getting tired! This really opened my eyes and Stu knows exactly what he is talking about because he walks his talk and has done so for over 15 years. This is a must read for anyone even remotely interested in health and/or fitness!

Life changing book
Anyone concerned with health and vitality will find SLOW BURN an incredible "how to" book. With Stu's direction I have changed both my training and diet with phenomenal results. This book should be manditory reading in our over-weight society.

Countdown to the series finale
My son wrote the following mini-review:

The team could not be any more surprised than when news leaks out that the National Guard has been captured by Yeerks. This book focuses primarily on the Animorphs' struggle to first ensure that the Governor is not a controller and then to protect her from the Yeerks. Ax, Marco, and Tobias risk their lives to prevent her from being infested; they are successful.

With this installment, K.A. Applegate begins the countdown to the conclusion of this popular series.

Help is on the Way.............................
Now that the yeerks have the Morphing Power, the Animorphs have a lot more problems...Everywhere they go,everytime they even try to morph,a team of morph-capable Yeerks cut them off...And now the "National Guard" has sent an army of tanks into town, but it kinda obvious for the animorphs to know that the National Guard has been infiltrated by the Yeerks, and those tanks will most likely be for rounding up hosts....But,they have an idea,What if they got the Govenor to back them up,and warn people of the Yeerk threat.....It could work, but then again, mabye not..........

i loved this book, like I aslo love almost all the Animorph books. This one is very exiting, and I loved the part where they tell the Govener that Earth is under attack......i think any Animorph fan will love this book, and i think You will like it even if You aren't really a fan of it...I also recomend the other books from the series, and any book by K.A. Applegate.......

EXELLENT!
In this book the Animorphs must tell the govener about the Yeerks before it's too late. Marco, Ax, and Tobias are chosen for the job. They fly to the capital to tell the govener. Will the govener beleve them, not beleve them, or is she already a Controller? Read the book to find out!!

The Power of Empathy- a Brief Review
This book vividly explains how empathy can have a profound effect on your relationships. These can be business, personal, marriage, or any relationship. Getting to understand and appreciate the perspective and background of the "other side" can lead to a more productive means of communication. Most relationships break down because of a lack of communication. The Power of Empathy gives one a road map on how to direct your thoughts, actions, and emotions in dealing with anyone that matters. The implications of this approach are enormous. If spouses can learn to truly empathize with each other, their bond will strenghten. Business people can use empathy to learn how to better serve their clients. Politicians can use empathy to effectively provide for the needs of their constituents. Teachers can be more effective; doctors more responsive to patients needs. Even lawyers would be more in tune with their client's needs. The Power of Empathy is very readable. You don't have to have a background in psychology to understand and appreciate this book. Dr. Ciaramicoli gives examples of the uses of empathy with references to the literature. His message is documented by many authoritative sources in science and the arts. Everyone- and I mean everyone- can profit from this masterwork. It is highly recommended! The gospel of The Power of Empathy must be spread throughout the world.

Power of Empathy: A powerful book
Dr. Ciaramicoli has accomplished the very difficult task of sharing himself and his clinical wisdom in an extraordinarily well written and usefull book. The Power of Empathy provides clear insights into how to better understand one's self and one's relationships. I have found the book valuable to me both personally and professionally and have recommended it both to family/friends and patients. The information is so clearly stated and helpful that I hope The Power of Empathy will be read by many. It is one of the best books of its kind that I have come across.

The Benchmark Guide on Empathy!
The Power of Empathy is a marvelous and comforting book about a topic that many people experience on a day-to-day basis, yet unaware that they are doing so. In others, empathy is an aspect of human nature that actually needs to be developed, whether from scratch or through enhancement. Whichever category you belong to, Dr. Arthur Ciaramicoli's book will help bring you to a point of understanding the concept of empathy, which, in turn will help you help yourself and others. I found myself constantly nodding my head as I read, reacting to stories and explanations in the book of things that I seemingly experienced in my own life in one way or another. It is fascinating to see how empathy is an ongoing part of our lives, yet most of us remain non-cognizant to it, however satisfied that a result was achieved. But it is important to comprehend the means for reaching our goals of understanding, feeling, and sympathizing. The Power of Empathy is the benchmark tool for guiding one in accomplishing this. Dr. Ciaramicoli's personal love, understanding, and empathy are poured out in these pages, as he sensitively yet passionately supplies the readers with the wisdom and knowledge needed for developing love, understanding, and empathy for ourselves and others.
