A Grand Adventure for those Young & Old!
Of all Bruce Coville's works (and all children's authors at that!), this is most certainly the grandest!

This story pits a young boy named William on a timeless jouney to uncover the secret of a mysterious noise he hears in in a forbidden tower in his abode. It sounds like a simple plot, but it snowballs into a grand epic adventure.

This book is a must read for every person who wants a lighthearted read and a taste of childlike wonder and humor.

Great Book!
This book is one of my favorite books. It's about
a boy named William who likes to explore the
castle at night. One night he finds someone....
Another night, Halloween, someone calls his name
If you haven't read this book yet....READ IT!

Amazing adventure!
Goblins in the Castle is truly one of the best works of fiction I have ever read in my life. I have read it many times over and I enjoy it every time. Nothing about it gets old to me. I have introduced the book to many of my friends and they all have borrowed and read it with sheer delight, all giving the same review of, "Goblins in the Castle rules! " This book is non-stop adventure as William, an 11 year old boy, unknowingly lets the goblin's souls out of the North Tower on Halloween night. The goblins are now loose and William has to find a way to get them back in to the tower. He has help from friends along the way such as Igor, Fauna, and Herky. Throughout the book he hears different opinions of many people and in the end, has to make a decision over what to do about the situation. Really, this book is a million times better than my description of it. I beg of you, if you only read one book in your life, read "Goblins in the Castle". It stretches the imagination, and brings out the adventure in us all.

I love Animorphs
The Animorphs books series is great! It's funny when it's supposed to be funny, sad when it's supposed to be sad. It really makes you think. Yet, it's believeable. It's helpful if you want to extend your vocabulary, yet easy enough to understand. All my friends read it. Adults read it. It's action-packed and exciting. I would recomend this book to anyone.

THESE BOOKS ARE THE BOMB FOR ALL AGES.
ANIMORPHS.THE BEST BOOKS YOU CAN BUY.THEY ARE SO DETAILED AS I READ I SEE EVERYTHING INSIDE MY HEAD.GOOSEBUMPS IS OUT OF LEAGUE.LOOK OUT GOOSE BUMPS ANIMORPHS IS COMING .THE BEST BOOKS IN THE WORLD.OOOOOOHHHHHHHHH YYYAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!

Animorphs: Book Numbers 21-24
This set of books are one of my favorite of the series.
#21) The Animorphs have recently recruited a new Animorph, David, who is a troubled and disturbed kid. But after their first mission with him, Jake is getting suspicious. Is David a traitor?
#22) David has crossed the line, and Rachel's rivalry with him is personal. David nearly ruined the Animorphs' most important mission, and nearly killed Tobias, Jake, and Ax. If the six original Animorphs can't come up with a plan soon, they might have to do something more than drastic...
#23) Tobias is informed that somebody is looking for him. Supposedly his cousin, a woman named Aria. Tobias isn't sure if he can trust her, but at the same time, something else comes up. It turns out that Tobias's father left a document to be read to him on his next birthday, and Aria is to be present at the reading. And even more importantly, one of the free Hork-Bajir has wondered away from the valley and was captured by the Yeerks. Its up to Tobias and the others to save the Hork-Bajir secret.
#24) A bunch of ego-crazed alien maniacs called the Helmacrons have arrived on Earth. At first they seem funny, for they less than an inch tall, but soon, they shrink Cassie, Marco, and Tobias down to their size, and are planning to take control of the humans, Yeerks, and anyone else who will get in their way...

These books are great for any Animorphs fan. I personally recommend either #22 The Solution, or #23 The Pretender.

The series darkens even more...
The series comes to it's climax in this book! Christopher tells the tale this time, as the five kids, still fleeing Atlantis, suddenly find themselves in the land of Eire, among fairys, elves, leprochauns, and a charming and beautiful half elf princess, whom Christopher finds himself genuinelly in love with. Meanwhile, Senna is still bringing real word troops and guns over into Everworld, and she is now threatening the land of Eire... I won't give away the rest, but trust me, the book is great and the ending will leave you in shock.

Ah, the lack of excellence in young adult books nowadays...
Don't worry about finding excellence in this book. Easily the best EverWorld book to date, most of the strings of chaos in the EverWorld series are tied in the conclusion of this book, but a thousand new ones are created. David, Christopher, April, and Jalil are closer than ever to finding out what's really going on. Things are actually getting better for the confused companions, especially Christopher, who has finally discovered genuine love (or his interpretation of it) for a half-elfin EverWorlder. Even as things are getting better for the companions, things are getting even better for Senna. The evil dreams of hers that no one else has taken seriously are starting to become reality. No one said it better than Keith, the real-worlder, when he shouted, "It's happening!"

This was the best
OMG! This was the best book. Christopher, my favorite character, falls in love in the land of Eire. Senna, who of course is the villain, has brought Neo-Nazis from the real world to Everworld. April and Jalil bring in technology. And General Davideus battles. Humorous bits in between. An all together great book. I won't tell the ending because that would spoil it, but let me tell ya, it's a shocker. I can't believe the series is almost over!! K.A. Applegate, if you read this, don't end the series. This is one of the only series that incorporates mythology properly and I love it.

Destination Unknown

Author: Katherine A. Applegate

Looks to be a promising series.......
It's been 500 years since an asteroid destroyed the Earth. It's been 500 years since the chosen 80 left Earth's orbit and began their journey to a new home. Their destination was unknown. And now that the survivors of that trip have awakened from their hibernation, they have no idea where they are. But that is the least of their problems. Not everyone survived the trip. They have no food, no water, and no idea if where they landed will support human life. As the survivors take stock of their surroundings, one thing becomes clear. They ship they were on did not bring them to this strange place. It shows no sign of going through a landing. On further inspection, the place where they 'landed' appears to be an environment created just for them. Can they survive in this new environment? What dangers await them? Who or what brought them to this place?

This second book in the Remnants series builds upon the first novel, and sets a strong foundation for what promises to be a great series. We not only find out who from the first book survived the trip, but we are introduced to other survivors as well. We meet Violet Blake (a 'Jane'), her mother Wylson, and a host of other characters who will shape this new society. As expected, the power hungry Yago was already making his bid for power by manipulating those around him. Not all will be manipulated to his way of thinking however, thus adding to the drama and tension of the situation. I am anxiously awaiting the next installment of this series. I would recommend this book to anyone who has read the first novel in the Remnants series, or to anyone who is a fan of K.A. Applegate.

The end of the world has come...and gone.
Five hundred years after the Mayflower and its crew left Earth before it was destroyed, Jobs and the others finally open their eyes to a world impossible to fathom. The terrain of this strange, new world is so unbelievable -- and it seems that it may pose a threatening danger to them, because they don't really know what's out there. Less than half of the eighty selected escapees survived the trip, and some of those undead are dying slowly, and because of never before seen diseases that may

contaminate the entire crew. Jobs, Mo'Steel, 2Face, and the others are desperate to understand this new world, and to cure the sick people that have awoken. But besides for the danger, there are some hideous revelations awaiting at every corner -- and some just may be unavoidable. Remnants #2: Destination Unknown is the exciting and unbelievably surprising second book in K.A. Applegate's all new Remnants series, which is proving time and again to replace the loss of Animorphs.

More! I must have more!
Just like the first Remnants book, this one is expertly written. I wished it was longer, though. When I finished, I was resenting the fact that "Them" doesn't come out until October. One thing's for sure: this book series can only get more interesting.

The plot: five hundred years have passed since Earth was destroyed. Jobs, 2Face, Mo'Steel and the others wake up to discover that the Mayflower has landed on a surreal world that, creepily enough, seems to have been inspired by human artwork. Between twenty and thirty of the Eighty survived the trip. Some have changed, some haven't; Yago is still power-hungry, Billy Weird seems to be in an empathic coma, and something really bizarre has happened to Tamara Hoyle and her baby. There are many new characters introduced, so many that we wonder if K.A. can handle them all. And yes, in typical K.A. fashion, there are aliens. Lots of aliens.

Animorphs and Everworld were great series, but Remnants is better in many ways. I can't wait for book 3....and book 4...and books 5 and 6 and 7 and...

Ax has a secret¿
The Yeerks are loading people into trains that will lead them straight to an underground Yeerk pool for infestation. The Animorphs decide that there is only one way to stand a chance against the Yeerks: they have to blow up the Yeerk pool. But if they blow up the Yeerk pool then they will also destroy the innocent people held hostage. This isn't their only problem, the Animorphs still aren't working as a team and after Cassie tells the truth about what happened to the blue box, Ax isn't sure if the human race is really worth saving. So now the Animorphs have to decide if they should sacrifice the people trapped in the Yeerk pool in order to save the world and Ax has to decide if he should sacrifice Earth in order to save the galaxy. This book was really good. Everyone reacted to the decision exactly how I thought they would, which is good because it means that I understand the characters I have been reading about for almost five years now. Kim Morris has once again done a great job.

In every war there are sacrifices.......
The end is near. The battle for Earth can't go on much longer. One side is going to win. One side is going to lose. And the Animorphs fear they may be the losing side. The Yeerks have declared open warfare. They are herding thousands of people into subway trains at gunpoint. The trains travel through new tunnels direct to the Yeerk pool, where mass infestations are being performed. The Yeerks are building an army of controllers. The Animorphs know that soon the Yeerks will be far too powerful for them to have even a hope of defeating. So they are about to do the unthinkable. They are about to question everything they have always thought was right, and challenge the morals they have always fought for. They are going to attempt to blow up the Yeerk pool. And in the process, thousands of innocent people may die. This was one of the most powerful Animorphs books ever. If you're a fan of the series, you definitely will not want to miss this book.

The only hope is a horrible sacrifice.....
Ax and the other Animorphs have faced too many risks lately. Ever since they have had to retreat from their ordinary human lives, the war has completely changed. Jake's hope as well as the other Animorphs' have been torn apart, and nothing is at seems anymore. Now the Yeerks are intensifying their once subtle tactics, and they're forcibly making humans submit and be sent down into the subways to the Yeerk Pool. Ax and the others need to match tactics with the Yeerks. Their hopes are low, but if the Yeerks are getting drastic, so must the Animorphs -- if they want to survive, they must. But now they are facing a horrifying decision. They are facing a decision that will forever change the war. They are planning to destroy the Yeerk Pool, resulting in the deaths of thousands of human lives. The choice is a deadly one. Can Ax and the others justify such terrrible actions -- and face the horrible consequence? Now that the fight has changed, and every hope has been shattered from the terrifying revelations to the broken bonds, it may be time to face a new approach -- though it is frighteningly uncertain. Animorphs #52: The Sacrifice is one of the most exciting and dramatically involving books in the Animorphs series that is nearly over with just two more books left. Emotional, intense, and exciting, this was one of the most heart pounding books in the series. With only those two final books left, #52: The Sacrifice is an extremely worthwhile

and delivering read. K.A. Applegate soared into new heights with this amazing addition to the Animorphs series.

The diversion
This book is my FAVORITE Animorophs book and I've read most of them. The Yeerks begin to realize the "Andalite bandits" are really humans. (most of them) So with the Yeerks closing in The Animorphs and their families must evacuate to the Hork-Bajir valley. Jake parents are taken and made into Controllers and Tobias finds his long lost mother, Loren. This book is really great.

The secret is out - and now everything's changed....
Ever since the war with the Yeerks began to heat up, things have gotten really close for the Animorphs - but they've always managed, just barely, to survive, and to keep their identities a secret. But now it seems as if the Yeerks have finally discovered that the "Andalite bandits" are really a group of humans. This new discovery puts the resistance, and the future of Earth, at risk. The Animorphs must protect themselves and their families at all costs. But to do that, they've got to do the unthinkable - reveal their secret. And along the way, Tobias will make a discovery that changes everything. This was the best of all of the recent Animorphs books - I can't even think of one in recent memory that tops it. It had drama, humor, sadness, and emotional depth all in one. It made me laugh and cry at the same time. If you're an Animorphs fan, you MUST read The Diversion.

One of the best ones yet
This Animorphs book has the most change of all. The yeerks hve finnaly decided that the "Andalite" Bandits aren't exactly Andalites, and that changes everything. The sharing is sponsering a huge blood drive, and robers at the gardens don't ask for drugs or money, they want blood samples. Tiger, grizzly, wolf, eagle and go crazy when the can't get a blood sample from a Red-tailed Hawk. Their secret is revealed to ? and while trying to spoil the yeerks plan, Tobias makes a discovery that could change his life forever. That is, if he survives much longer...

Can Ben choose between Nina and Claire?
Benjamin Passmore's in love with Claire and Nina (who, unfortunately, are sisters). Will he choose cold Claire, his long time love and an ice-princess, or witty Nina, who's been in love with Benjamin for ages? This is an excellent book, and a fine example of Katherine Applegate's brilliant writing talent. Anyone who likes books about teenagers falling in and out of love - this is for you. It's funny as well as sensitive - READ IT!!!

Read this Awesome book!
Ben's In Love is one of my favorites in the Making Out books that I have read so far. It has a lot of emotions in it, with Nina coming out of her protected shell of emotions, Claire finally deciding what she wants to do with the "situation" with Josh, Lucas being homecoming king, and Chris getting hurt, and with that, Aisha discovering her true feelings about Chris. Also Ben and Nina's relationship starts blooming. It's definentaly one that you wouldn't want to skip. This is why I gave Ben's In Love 5 stars.

Ooh! Sparks are flying between Nina and Ben!
Ben's the blind wonderboy who's now in love with two girls that are sisters! Talk about sibling rivalry! Watch this amazing series get better and better! This book has ot be one of my favorites because Nina and Ben make worlds best pair!

Marco saves his dad from the Yeerks
In this book, Marco's dad's company finds Z-Space and the Yeerks infest everyone in the company except Marco's dad. Marco saves him and tells him everything. They move in with the Chee and the Chee fake Marco and his dad dieing. Marco and the other Animorphs decide they have to save Marco's mom and find out that she is being starved of Kandrona in the Yeerk pool. Will the Animorphs rescue Eva, or will she be handed to another Yeerk? Read the book to find out!

"The Revlation" is going to be the best of the year...
The Revelation and Megamorphs #4 are the best books of theyear. This book,#45 of the Animorphs series, will be the first book in along awaited story arc that will undergo big changes for the Animorphs. In this book Marco tells his dad of the Animorphs's secret. There is also a part in this book where the Yeerks will try ot capture Marco's dad too to the Yeerks, like his mother. The cover morph will be Marco to ant. This story arc will last through book #54.This book will be a must-buy!

Things will never again be the same...
This is it. One of the most awaited Animorphs ever is here. In this book, Marco's father's company has discovered zero-space and the yeerks arn't happy. They want Marco's father infested and Marco won't loose another parent to the yeerks, so he riskes all the animorphs lives to save his father. I think he did the right thing, any of the animorphs would of done it, but now, with the help of the Chee, Marco and his father fake their deaths to fool the yeerks and go into hiding. And how does Marco's father deal? Just follow his son around while they battle Hork-Bajir and try to save the world? Nope, take a deep breath, cus it's finally happened - Marco tells his father everything. EVERYTHING, the yeerks, the animorphs, and Eva. But the story dosn't end there, becuase with the help of a human-made Z-space transponder the Animorphs hear Visser One is being exicuted in the yeerk pool, and if she dies, Visser Three will get promoted and will make the invasion of the yeerks totaly public. If that happens, the animorphs won't matter. Earth's history will end. It's my new favorite animorphs, a touching and well-written story that's the first in the story-arc running to book #54, when K.A. Applgate's contract official runs out. Is this the end of the war? Maybe, but whoever wins, these are going to be books way worth reading.

Katherine Deauxville's Newest Jewel - "Enraptured"
Once again Katherine Deauxville has given her readers a sensational story! 'Enraptured' is rich with humor and passion, and one of the best books I've read in a very long time. If you want to give yourself a real treat, get 'Enraptured'. It's another winner from one of the grand ladies of the romance genre!

Katherine Deauxville has written a wonderful romantic comedy
I devoured this book with the same gusto that I would enjoy consuming some sinfully rich dessert at my favorite restaurant. This book is a delightful confection with a frothy, whipped cream layer of hilarious slapstick and a more subtle dark chocolate layer of satire. Like any rich dessert, a lot of talent and skill was used in the preparation. The author has created historically accurate characters and setting. She has written two of the funniest love scenes that this reader has ever read. So indulge yourself and read this book.

You'll be beguiled, amused and ENRAPTURED
One of the best Regency historicals I've read in a long time. Witty, sexy, charming and moving all at once. Some historicals make you laugh; some make you cry; some make you think. This one does all three. As a romance writer myself, I can't think of a higher compliment than that. Keep 'em coming, faster, Ms Deauxville!

The Spirituality of Imperfection

This book changed my life
from the author of DREAMING YOUR REAL SELF: A PERSONAL APPROACH TO DREAM INTERPRETATION; and DREAM BACK YOUR LIFE: A PRACTICAL GUIDE TO DREAMS, DAYDREAMS, AND FANTASIES.

I read THE SPIRITUALITY OF IMPERFECTION at the end of 1993, at the suggestion of a friend. I had hesitated to read it because it was "a recovery book" and I expected that designation to limit its benefits. What I found, however, were stories that confirmed that to grow we must be willing to fail and make mistakes. This is what it means to be human. With this book's encouragement, hope, and humor, I embarked on my speaking and writing career, willing to blunder and to learn from others. Since then, I have recommended and bought this book as a gift many times. I list this title in my handouts for nearly all of my self-help classes and in the bibliographies of the books I write.

An exploration of spirituality that speaks to all traditions
This book successfully relates the spirituality of Alcoholics Anonymous, and its Twelve Step program, to the other major spiritual traditions of the world. It is related in such a way that the non member of these programs can appreciate the depth and importance of this movement for everyone. Alcoholics Anonymous has been praised by Aldous Huxley, Scott Peck and many other religious thinkers as possibly America's own contribution to the history of western spirituality. Kurtz and Ketcham do a fine job showing the uniqueness of AA's modern insights as well as their kinship to forms of spirituality which pervade the wisdom of many traditions from the early Christian Desert Fathers to the wizened Rebbes of the mystical Hassidim. The Spirituality of Imperfection tells this story with the colorful stories and parables of these various traditions. Some of the tales are wise, some funny and all have the quality of capturing our humaness in a form that is entertaining as well as instructive. These stories comprise a minor theme of our spiritual heritage, which celebrates our humaness and limitation as a source of wisdom, rather than "totalitarian" forms of spirituality which subjugate human experience to an obsession with abstract and antiseptic perfectionism.

Historically cultural perspective on spiritual traditions
For the intellectual or the experiential reader, this text is a must on their shelves, next to Jung's "Memories, Dreams and Reflections", and James' "Varieties of Religious Experience". Its simple approach to exploring the concepts of spirituality via stories brings unattainable truths down to a level of "keeping things simple". Although the text devotes a large portion to the spiritual traditions of Alcoholics Anonymous, the book unearth the universal truths of the "Twelve Steps" for the non-alcoholic or newly sober alcoholic.
