Excellent
I loved this book. I was hooked from the first page. Kid Davis can come around to my place and show me his pistol any day!!!! The man is sex on legs. But, all jokes aside, this really was a great book. Highly recommended and a definate keeper.

A keeper
Great book. It captured my interest right away and I ended up staying up all night to finish it (with 4 kids to wake me up in the morning). so you know it had to be great!! Funny and alluring.

A romance not to miss
On a wagon train from Louisiana to Texas, young and beautiful Rachel Gregory meets a stranger that will change her life forever. 'Kit' Davis is charged murder and is being brought to Texas for trial, not a suitable match for a highborn New Orleans lady.

Davis and Rachel are drawn to eachother, their attraction cannot be denied. Eventually Davis escapes, kidnapping Rachel and bringing her into his life of crime. But is he really who she believes him to be?

Katherine Sutcliffe has written a wonderful love story with two unforgetable and unlikely characters. Highly recommended

This book was a great book.
This book was great because it had so many scary folk tales and tall tales. I liked that it had short stories. I liked this book more because of all the scary stories that they have in this book. The one I like the most was "The Water Fall of the Living Ghost".

The Perfect Campfire Book! Spooky Tales and Illustrations!
These 30 tales from around the world are much more complex and comprehensive than the stories you'll find in the Alvin Schwartz books. Relying more on story content than the gross out factor of illustrations, the Short & Shivery series are must have books for any kid going to sleepaway camp. The best stories in this volume are:

The Cegua

Tailypo

The Soldier and the Vampire

Boneless

The Loup-Garou (The Werewolf)

and

The Golem

But every story is good in its own right. If you want to introduce your kids to scary stories or folklore but don't want the nightmares induced by the Schawrtz books, pick up any one of the Short & Shivery books without fear. Well, without too much fear(:=

WOW
What more can I say? This is a fantastic book. San Souci tells many stories full of chills and thrills. A wonderful collection of tales for people who love scary stories. The best part is that all of the stories are short. If you like this book, be sure to read Even More Short and Shivery.

Sleep well
A wonderfully tender story and warmhearted illustrations. What better collaboration for a bedtime story than a daughter and mother?

My Daughter's Favorite
My sister bought this book as a gift for my daughter and it is one of her best purchases ever. My daughter is only one year old but every night she would choose this book for her mother to read to her. The Illustrations are both soft and warm. The rhymes are soothing. As a whole, the book illustrate the closeness and happiness of a family. A excellent book for all ages.

Great Bedtime Book
I bought this book because I'm familiar with Linnea Riley's artwork, and I also have a 2-year old who's often resistant to fade off into dreamland. So I buy lots of "bedtime" books. We've had the book 2 days now and he wants to read it over and over. Even when I hold up 2 books and tell him to choose one he chooses this one. The rhymes are sweet and the illustrations are adorable. What a great book to calm your child down after a busy day!

Please get this book back into print!
I would probably buy a half a dozen copies of this book every year to give as gifts to my friends who have new babies. This
book is so cute, babies just love the poetry, and the surprise ending. The drawings are beautiful.

Lovable book
Teeny Tiny Farm is a sweet little book with rhymes. It's size is perfect for toddler hands, and my kids never got tired of hearing about a day on this little farm. The illustrations are cute and remind me of Fischer Price plastic people. We carry this book in the car, to restaurants, and use it at bedtime. Kids will start imitating the rhymes after a few readings because they are catchy. I would recommend it highly.

Another rave review!
I thought I was the only nut who read this adorable book to my kids! Both my daughters love it, and I, too, replaced the torn, munched-on copy with a new one for our second daughter. The rhyming is EXCELLENT for even the littlest ones. We have also given it as a gift several times.

History mystory #8 a 5 star book!
It's 1908 and Innie joins her sister's book club. She has fun going there every week with her friend and her sister but when she breaks some pottery there she gets in trouble. Then things in the book club get lost and she gets blamed for everything that is missing. How will she prove that she didn't do it?

Is The Settlement House Haunted?
That's the key question in this "history mystery". The setting is Boston's North End in 1908. Innocenza "Innie" Moretti, an eleven-year-old girl, lives in a tenement with her Uncle Giovanni's family and her grandmother. Her parents were killed in a fire when she was only two. She loves the club for girls from immigrant families at the new settlement house in her neighborhood. Here she can listen to stories, borrow books, and make new friends. But when things begin disappearing from the settlement house, and other things turn up in odd places, suspicion fastens on Innie. Helped by her new friend, a Jewish girl from Russia named Matela, Innie must find out what is going on. Is there a thief, or is the house haunted?

Readers of "Under Copp's Hill" experience late night vigils in an old cemetery and explore a dank old tunnel. The plot is not complicated, but there is plenty of tension for pre-teens as Innie tries to solve the mystery before she is kicked out of the club. Beyond that, the story also has something to say about the difficulties faced by immigrants in America in the early 1900's, and about how people of different ethnic and religious backgrounds could put their old-world differences behind them. All in all, this is another fine entry in the "history mystery" series. My daughter now ranks "Under Copp's Hill" as her second favorite of the nine we've read so far, behind only "The Smuggler's Treasure". I recommend the entire series to young readers and their parents.

A Great Bok For All Ages
A great book for all ages is definatly a way to describe under copps hill. It's a perfect mystery with tension suspense and releif. Once you open this book you'll never be able to put it down with it's secret sord , a promise that could ruin a life ,and a dangerous accusation. These are the main problems in tis wonderful and enchanting story.

The Story Begins
5 kids, Jake, Marco, Cassie, Tobias, and Rachel. Are walking home from the mall when they witness the crashing of a alien ship. The Alien tells them that the human race is in trouble and that other aliens named Yerrks are trying to destroy us, no enslave us. So without regret the alien, Elfangor, give them technology of his race, the andilites, the technology he gives them is the power to absorb the DNA of any living animal and become it. From that day on they become rebel fighters agianst the Yerrk Empire. A truly amzing story, that will live on forever.

Sci-fi
This book was boring at the start, but as you go on more things begin to happen! It turns out as the goes book on you'll never put it down! It unravel's so fast it'll make your head spin!If you're in the Science genre you'll love it!

But if you're not in to that sort of genre I'd suggest the haunting of hill house, if you're not scared.

I still remember four years ago....
I still remember when I discovered this book four years ago. I was at the Scholastic Book Fair, looking for a book with excitement and adventure. My librarian recomended Animorphs, and I got everthing a person can possibly dream for. There is action and suspense. There are battles and fights. There is shock and emotion. There is the war between good and evil. Then, I was taken far into the air.... I was given the description of what it is like to be an animal. I felt the instinct, the emotion, the fear, the suspense. I was in a dream, a nightmare. The book was full of vivid descriptions, powerful emotions, and a thrill of adventure. It is everything you ever dreamed of. You'll love it!

Great Book!!!!!!!
This book is a great book!! And if you enjoyed Bruce Covilles "Into the Land Of the Unicorns" (Book one) you will enjoy this book as well!!

What a great book!
I had such a great time reading this book. If you happen to be a fan of fantasy I beleive you will like it. I couldn't help but smile and laugh the whole time as I continued reading this wonderful book and getting lost somewhere besides reality for a few momnets. A great book should be able to take your mind completely away from reality, if only for a moment. I am aware this book was written with children in mind, but they are some of us adults who enjoy reading the childrens books too. I am looking forward to reading more of Mr. Coville's work.

Very fun and imaginitive.
I really liked this book, I kept smiling and giggling throughout the whole thing. For anyone who is a fan of childrens fantasy/sci-fi books, this is worth reading. I look forward to reading more of Mr. Coville's work.

Letter to the Author
Dear Katherine Holubitsky,

I want to say that I have enjoyed reading your story, "Alone at Ninety Foot". I liked it because it was very sad. It reminded me of my friend's grandmother. I realized how it feels to lose someone special. My friend's and Pamela's actions were the same. It made me want to read the story even more. It is very depressing knowing that you can't replace a loved one. Therefore my opinion on the story is that it is very touching. You can go through a lot of pain and grief losing a loved one.

I like to commend youfor such a good job on organizing the story. The character development was great. It made the story easier for me to understand. I like how you organized the character's roles.

In conclusion, I want to say thank you for doing a great job and letting me to enjoy a wonderful novel.

Truly yours,
Manly Lau(Francis Libermann Catholic High School)

Deep
I love this book. It was THE best book I've ever read and if I could I would give it ten stars but I guess I'll have to stick with five. If you're thinking of reading this wonderful book then don't give it any more thought, you should go out and get it now! Katherine Holoubitsky is truly inspiring.

Alone at niety foot
Have you ever felt lonely? Have young ever lost someone you love? Katherine Holubitsky takes you through the exciting life of Pamela Collins. For being Katherine Holubitsky first book it is really good. The book has lots of wonderful characters like Pamela who is the principal character, her father, the boring girl friend of her father, and the other people at school.
Pamela is about 14 years old. She likes to sped most of her time at a mountain called Ninety Foot, she likes these place because she uses it as a hiding place when she escapes from school and it also reminds her of her mother. For Pamela this mountain is special but for the other people in town no because lots of people have gone missing and lots of murders have take place in there. Pamela is affected because of her mothers death how jumped of a bridged because of the depression of her lost child. After the sad death of her mother Pamela finds out that her father is dating a women but for Pamela these is not a problem because he doesn't last much with her. After one more women Pamela's father ends up with a women, which results to be a banker and a nerd.
Pamela at school is a lonely girl who doesn't likes to socialize just with her friends. Pamela has problems with the most popular girl at school because she is very stuck up. Pamela hates to hear stories about people dieing or committing suicide because it reminds her of her mothers death. Pamela is having problems because she is experiencing the development of her body. During the book Pamela struggles during her teen-age life.
I like this book because it made me read and read until a finish it. I also liked it because it has good descriptions. I hope you read this book.

Very cute!
In this next book in the Angelina Ballerina series, Angelina can hardly await the arrival of her mom's new baby. However, when the baby arrives, she finds that the baby is now the center of everyone's attention. Wracked with jealousy, Angelina has a lesson to learn...

This is a very cute book. I like the lesson that it taught, and my daughter and I both loved the story and the wonderful illustrations. This is a good book, one that we highly recommend to you.

A dear, sweet look at the difficulty of having a new sibling
Katharine Holabird's "Angelina's Baby Sister" follows in the tradition of all the other Angelina Mouseling books. Angelina Mouseling is a small white mouse--perhaps somewhere between six and ten years old in people years--who has the complete attention of her parents and grandparents no matter what. Then one day, her mother has a baby! The new baby sister, Polly, is adorable and Angelina tries very, very hard to be interested and attentive and loving. But it's tough. No one is much paying attention to Angelina now that Polly's here, and that's especially upsetting to Angelina because she's recently been given an award at dance class.

Angelina finally gives in to her anger and throws off steam in the privacy of her bedroom. The problem is that in doing so, she accidentally breaks the award statuette she's recently earned. The adults--parents and grandparents alike--are surprised by Angelina's mood and soon figure out the connection to the new baby, Polly.

All ends well, however, and Angelina is able to look at Polly as a possible new audience member for Angelina's impromptu dance recitals at home. This is a dear, sweet book that examines honestly the difficulties involved in dealing with a new sibling. The illustrations by Helen Craig are, as always, just precious--softly colored, beautifully detailed, and always in step with the text.

Fabulous Gift Idea
Someone gave my 3 year old daughter this book when we had a new baby. Angelina has a hard time sharing the spotlight, and her family's time with the new addition. So did my daughter! But, reading this book with her gave us some "cuddle time" and helped us deal with incorporating a new and demanding member of the family! I've given this book as a gift many times since!
