Si usted trabaja con palabras, "this is a must".

Fabulous- Fabuloso
During the 17th Century, Spanish authors were mostly men. The women who wrote during the period usually were confined to the traditional writings of the era. Although Maria de Zayas y Sotomayor escapes from the norm of her time and really exposes the hardships women dealt with. Her stories will make you laugh, cry, and love. They are so beautiful. I have to thank my Spanish Literature professor for suggesting I read it.

This book is not only enlights one of Spain, but of women in general. I highly recommend this novel.

Amazing!
This book was one of the most amazing books I have ever read. The trials the women go through in this book because of the love they had for their men are nothing short of extraordinary. I would recommend this book to anyone who is ready to understand that women had to go through more than cleaning house. After reading this book you will never think about men or women during this time period the same.

the disney encyclopedia of baby and child care
My wife loves this book, and that is why I purchased it I went ahead and bought a used book. I thought that I was going to receive the most updated version, as was shown in the picture, when I submitted my order. To my surprise I received a used version that was published in 1995.

The Disney Encyclopedia of Baby and Child Care.
This book is great, especially for first time parents. It has everything you could ever need to know about your baby or child in an easy to follow dictionary format. I have used it several times to look up information.

Review
It is a pity that, among the annual Nobel Prize awards, the arduous field-work of gastronomic literature in not taken under consideration because it tries to incorporate the recipe's criteria with multiple variables, especially when it is related to the typical cooking of an area, or country, such as the Dominican Republic, a small Caribbean island that has as many culinary versions as the many provinces into which it is divided. And I regret this absence because I would like to have seen among the Nobel Prize's candidates this book of María Ramírez de Carías, who, because of her diligence and researching conditions, as well as her knowledge of the culinary art, has been able to penetrate the most authentic recipes of the almost unknown Dominican gastronomy, so rich in condiments and influences. I have always thought that the serious study of the diverse quality of Dominican cooking is a worthy task, starting out by rescuing so many typical recipes, desserts, beverages, and drinks, that a busy modern life has been leaving obsolete.

This book completely fulfills that task. That is why I consider it worthy of the highest recognition given in the Dominican Republic, the Gastronomic Merit Medal, an annual prize given during the Dominican Gastronomic Festival.

Great photos, great text, great tone-exactly what I wanted!
I enjoyed this book very much...it has an amusing touch of irreverence while still being very much a "fan" book. The photos are superb; there are definitely some jolting star shots here thatI KNOW I've never seen before. A lovely book which provides the requisite facts about the "hunks" but also has an element of whimsy & fun. I tried to track this book down before a year before locating it; it was worth the wait!

Gorgeous!
Magnificent photos, interviews and stories of a lost era. I especially enjoyed the Tony Curtis, Jeffrey Hunter, Jeff Chandler and Sal Mineo sections. The writing matched the photos - very upbeat and done more like an old fashioned movie magazine than a "tell all."

Good poet - bad translator
Yes, Rilke is a genius, whose poetry is abstract and disturbing yet also direct, concise and perfectly written.

Unfortunately, Snow's translation does not manage to capture Rilke's power in full flow, as other translators have managed to do so. The Picador edition is especially superior (although still flawed). By all means buy the Elegies, which are among the best pieces of literature of this century, and possibly the best collection of lyric poetry of all time - but if you buy this edition, you might not realise that.

Acclaimed translator gives us the "Duino Elegies"
Edward Snow is one of the most respected translators of Rilke. He's been working his way through Rilke's poetry and now offers a superb version of the "Duino Elegies," long considered the high point of Rilke's career.

There are many existing translations of Rilke's masterpiece, of varying quality. Snow's version reads quite well and compares favorably to acclaimed versions by Mitchell and others.

Great resource about Emu care, recommended highly
We were given a pair of Emus and needed an on hand resorce for keeping them healthy and happy. This is a great source of info covering everything from anatomy, to pen requirements, breeding and slaughter. I am very pleased with the purchase, well worth the money. The only thing it could add is about handleing...our male Emu kicks both to the front and backwards. They do not like dogs a bit and will try to attack an animal near the fenceline. ...Be careful around them and they are no problem at all.

Very informative
This book is an excellent source of information needed to learn more about emu. Not technical. Very down to earth writing, giving you information from collecting and incubating eggs, to slaughtering. Discusses sickness in the birds and various diseases. Also discusses different housing and fencing needs for the birds.

Enchanting description of its time
The original was written in a more verbose, baroque style. This translation sometimes splits up sentences so as to make the stories more readable. The ten stories are told within another, which has some interesting details in itself.

The Enchantments of Love
An instant best-seller in Spain in 1637. Great book about how five men and women entretain with love stories their hostess. Each one of them tell a love exemplary story portraying every amoruos theme, from eroticism, true love, lust, egotism, avarice, shortsightedness, unfathfullness and brutal rape.

Beautiful
Although now out of print and quite difficult to find this book is a rare gem. Beautifully photographed and rich in historical text concerning the Estancia system in general and 20-odd Estancias in particular. The reader is taken on a journey from Argentina's north to the Pampas outisde Buenos Aires, to Patagonia and finally to the Southern most tip where Argentina meets the icey waters of the South Atlantic. Over all a great "Coffee Table" box and a wonderful read too.

In depth tour of Argentina's great houses & ranches
A coffee table book filled with exquisite photographs and detailed historical and cultural insight on Argentina's premier properties -- the estancias. Through this book we catch a glimpse of the Argentine estancias that rivaled the great homes of Europe and also formed the backbone of the Argentine economy.

A must see for anyone interested in all things Argentine. In no other publication can you find such a profusion of photographic, historical and cultural information on Argentine architecture and society.

Additionally, this book is a steal when purchased in the United States -- I have seen it retail in Buenos Aires for up to $140.00 US.

Erotic BDSM excitement with a good story
An aspiring Egyptologist, Evelyn Taylor retreats to the sands by the Nile to heal and cleanse her spiritual self after the death of her husband. The ties of passion (and ties of leather) to her husband Richard are too strong for this world, and Evelyn deals with consuming emotions of her past love, and a new mysterious stranger who seems 'bound' and determined to take the place of her [now] not-so-stiff husband. Evelyn's all-consuming visions and mistrust sew easily into the mysterious fabric of Egypt and weave historical tales with hauntings by her lovers, then and now.

For anyone with even a passing interest in Egyptian history, the words and scenes in ETERNAL BONDAGE will delight. The descriptions of the ancient world set in modern times, laced with the graphic telling of the world of the submissive woman and the domineering man, give good counterpoint of different worlds merged.

Scene descriptions take the highest praise, the main character development comes in second... the erotic passages of violence within sexual play are done fairly well within the context of the story---the erotic writing itself borders on the crude, but the subject matter itself is by nature somewhat less than 'soft'. The bondage scenes are framed with the nature of Evelyn's passion, and then journey into the psychological realms for the reader to enjoy. The sex itself ties the intricate, keep-you-guessing plot together, and the reader is left with a mystery to solve between the spankings and tomb touring.

To the true S&M/bondage world enthusiast, this book will deliver erotic excitement with a story line... the title of the book is wonderful and ties together many possibilities of the words 'Eternal Bondage".

From a review written for SENSUAL ROMANCE

An Absorbing Novel with Depth
Evelyn Taylor is still distraught one year after her husband's death in a car accident. Traveling the world, she goes to Egypt to lose herself in the ancient tombs. However, she begins to see visions of her deceased husband, and a photographer tries to help her to solve the mystery of her visions.

This quite nice erotic novel by the author of "Thorsday Night" is somewhat similar to her earlier work, except that this novel takes place in Egypt instead of Miami.

Mark O'Brien, an American Photographer working in Egypt, meets Evelyn in a hotel. After dining together, he seduces her, and discovers that she is used to mild D/s. She then begins to see visions of her husband Richard, and the story deepens from there.

I don't want to give too much away, but I will say that this is an absorbing novel with some depth to it. The author has done her homework about ancient Egyptian history and the Valley of the Kings, so this isn't a simplistic story at all.

Plenty of good sex and discipline scenes to keep the story moving, as Evelyn finds herself used by many other of the male characters in the novel. A must read, if you like the supernatural sex type Erotica...
