These poems are amazing!
Like most Americans, I was devestated by the events of September 11. The poems these poets present gave me such inspiration. The poems helped me sort through my feelings and gave me a sense of hope that our country would prevail through this and any other adversity. I would recommend this poetry book to anyone who feels a sense of loss since September 11.

I couldn't read this book, but I felt very impressive about her painting during my last visit to Delhi, so I felt very excited about knowing about her life. Unfortunately I can't find available a book from her painting and her life. Does anybody know how can I get this book?

Covers ancient, medieval, and modern periods.
This book traces the history of Delhi from the stone age to the time of the Rajputs. Against a background of the history of India, it meticulously weaves together evidence from stone tools, ancient mounds, pottery, monuments, sculpture, references in literature and legend to reconstruct a comprehensive and lively historical narrative. Written in a style aimed at accuracy as well as clarity, the book will be of interest to historians, students of history, general readers - in fact anybody who is interested in Delhi's ancient past. The text is accompanied by several maps and a large number of photographs which bring alive Delhi's little-known ancient history

Great book about ATL Server
If you're a hardcore C++ developer wanting to do native web development, ATL Server is a great library to work with. If you've done ISAPI extensions, you'll find ATL Server to be a natural, flexible and very performant extension of that model, which makes development a *lot* faster.

And if you like that, then this book is a great way to get you up to speed on ATL Server. It is, after all, written by the people who wrote it. The book is wonderfully easy to read, covers both the basics and plenty of advanced ATL Server topics, and has tons of examples. Plus, it has the advantage of being written with real applications in mind.

On the other hand, if the profile above doesn't sound like it fits you, then this book is probably not for you :)

Brilliant photography, brilliant narrative
Raghubir Singh is arguably one of India's most well-known photographers and certainly one of the best I have seen in print. Most photographers will shy away from colour but Singh composes beautifully in this medium (and it wouldn't do Bombay justice to shoot it in black and white...) Above and beyong his talent with the lens, he has a very keen eye for the city, and captures the personality of the people who live there: laissez faire, slick, cosmopolitan. A typically Indian book - unabashed and bold - appropriately reflective of its subject matter. Naipaul is an odd choice for designing this work, given his relative distaste for India, but creates the perfect tension to accompany the photographs. In summary, Singh is in prime form in this book, doing what he does best: chronicling the people that define a city.
