The guide uses indexing tabs so that key areas of information are easy to find. The text is divided into two sections. Section one outlines first aid procedures for injured divers, while step two outlines common illnesses and injuries that may afflict divers.
Section one includes: Emergency Assistance Plan, Safety Assessment, Rescue Breathing and CPR, Bleeding, Physical Assessment, Field Neuro Exam, Injured Diver Positioning, and Oxygen First Aid.
Section two includes: Bone and Joint Injuries, Burns, CO Tox, Shock, DCI, Lung Overpressure Injuries, Seafood Poisoning, Heart Attack, Seizures, Spinal Injuries, Squeeze and Barotrauma, Seasickness, O2 Tox, Allergic Reactions, Thermal Injuries, and Marine Animal Injuries.
The guide is very comprehensive. However, don't expect lengthy explanations. The guide provides only an outline of steps with regard to *what to do* in these instances. Which in an emergency is what is really needed. For the explanations, you'll have to refer to another text, or better still take a First Aid course.
All in all, great content, great execution, does exactly what it's designed for.

Entering this volume without having the complete prior story was confusing, but a willingness and steady pace allowed me to situate myself and get comfortable quickly. Plus, i luckily had a steady income that allowed for the consumption (so to speak) of the prior volumes. Though i should say that i was able to read all of the prior volumes in the time it took for the 20 or so issues of this volume to reach my hands.
A great high point of Guys is Marty's character. Marty Feldman as he was in Young Frankenstein -- i.e. bloody hilarious. Mick Jagger and Keith Richards also provide some laughs. Also worth mentioning is Sim's inclusion of other comics professionals most notably Rick Veitch and Don Thompson. All the cameos Sim includes serve a purpose, though it is somtimes purely comedic.
All in all, Sim gives a very sublime tone throughout this volume, which may or may not be helpful to some readers after the mass of text and ideas that is Mothers and Daughters. I found the relaxing pace quite welcome, though. The only thing truly lacking in the collected volumes are 1) the nice covers 2) the back up features like letters and other correspondences Sim has with several comics professionals (one of my favorites is his several part discussion about the end of Gaiman's Sandman series, which occurred during this volume's serialization).
At first one starts to wonder if Cerebus is ever going to be sober in this book. Dave Sim & Gerhard have distinguished themselves, among other things, as people able to depict drunkenness and headaches in a quite extraordinarily realistic way, as displayed in this book as well. There are also a number of interesting deliriums (another of the creators' strong sides). Eventually Cerebus does get sober, and the storyline starts concerning itself with deeper issues, such as loneliness, and friendship and how it can be ruined by falling in love (with someone else). And it all ends with an epilogue so unexpected and thought-provoking that you'll do anything to read the next book.
The perhaps most important reason why the Cerebus books are so good, and like nothing else in this world, is that the creators allow themselves to take their time. An average book in the series is about 300-500 pages, and this obviously allows for (successful) experimenting with the art of telling a story in comics. This involves, for instance, filmish effects (like zooming in or out on a target) and symbolistic depictions of a character's inner life. Something that maybe hasn't been given enough credit is Dave Sim's almost superhuman genius in creating word balloons that are immensely able to express sentiments. Another forgotten hero is Gerhard, whose backgrounds are always ... perfect.
Finally, I can only feel sorry for Cerebus, that he has to meet such a terrible person like Joanne.

If you're a project manager or a team leader, you need to read this book or one very much like it. Otherwise, you're likely to lead a project without knowing or controlling its risks.
If you are not in a leadership position, use the concepts in this book to evaluate your leaders. That way, you can find out early how things are likely to turn out.
As a trainer, I found the concepts easy to get across to students. They were also able to retain these concepts because they made so much sense.

Unfortunately, few books have been written that remotely compare with the Bailey books/Ancient Wisdom given by the Master Djwhal Khul (Who also gave Blavatsky a half century earlier the contents of "The Secret Doctrine"). This is because He is part of the spiritual/5th kingdom and no longer human (4th kingdom)as evidenced by His writings which no human could have possibly have written (and few comprehend).
This book is still a must read for all intelligent & aspiring humanity (and novices of the Ancient Wisdom). Another introductory book (written by Alice Bailey herself) on the Ancient Wisdom (especially about meditation, which is sadly absent in "Saving the World", and a fundamental requirement for soul contact/infusion/growth) is "From Intellect to Intuition).
So many of us live lives which do not seem to have much purpose, but Guy's book enables us to see that joyous living is a part of saving the world, along with harmlessness, right speech, and right human relations.
If you want to have a life of purpose and joy, this book will be a great aid to getting there.

They love the fact that they can lift the flaps as I read them the story - makes for a really fun and exciting reading session (no matter how many times I've read it to them). They also enjoy looking through it themselves and love lifting all the flaps.
I can't tell you how many times this book has been read in the last 6 months but it's been ALOT. The flaps have held up well with the constant use and none look anywhere near ripping - this book is good quality.
As they are learning their ABC's and 123's this book has continued to hold their interest.
Recommended if you love Barney, love "flap books, or just want an interesting and fun way to learn your ABC's and 123's.
The book is colorful and has a LOT of flaps: the first two-page scene features the first ten numbers; the second has the 26 letters of the alphabet; the third shows a farm scene with nine colors featured; the fourth is a busy circus, with flaps for eight shapes; the fifth is a beach scene and the flaps depict seven pairs of opposites; and the sixth shows a fairy tale scene that incorporates eleven flaps hiding characters from the show (Stella, Baby Bop) and fairy tale characters (Humpty Dumpty, Mother Goose).
A good value, entertaining and educational.
