Each page is an excursion into the extensive labyrinths carved out by numbers. Approximately once a month, I scan it looking for new avenues to explore. Invariably, I see something, sketch out some possible proof routes and then end in frustration. A typical result of working in number theory.
Whether you are an amateur or professional, if you have an interest in number theory, you will like this book. Perhaps you will be able to make some progress towards resolving some of these problems. It is certainly possible, as no field has had more positive contributions from amateurs than number theory. Even Fermat fit the definition of an amateur.

Bradley and Idealism generally have been too much neglected during most of this century as speculative metaphysics has fallen out of fashion. But the heart of Idealism is simply, as Bradley once put it, that what satisfies the intellect is both true and real. In this sense, Idealism is as old as Parmenides and need not commit one to the belief that reality itself is basically mental (though Bradley himself thought so). What it really requires is that there be no artificial divorce between the knowing mind and the reality it is seeking to know: the real is ultimately intelligible, and what is ultimately intelligible is real.
Bradley was a seminal thinker in this tradition, and his insights are very often duplicated by later thinkers who do not know how much ground he had already broken. In this volume, key excerpts from all of Bradley's writings on logic and metaphysics are assembled and introduced.
Also of interest to readers of this volume will be the works of British Idealist Bernard Bosanquet and American rationalist Brand Blanshard. Search Amazon for their names as well.

If you need to share a cable or DSL connection (and watch your privacy as well), you'll find everything you need here. I hadn't been able to connect to some services with ICF until I got this book, so it paid for itself right there.
My highest recommendation!

The only feeling that I have after reading this novel, is one of deep admiration and appreciation for the entire novel and its author. Every character in this novel has been portrayed with amazing granularity and details. As one reads this increasingly interesting novel, one has this feeling of how nicely the day-to-day instances in life have been used to generate a "true-to-life" subtle touch of humor with intelligence....I could imagine how lovely the movie would look when it is ready. The climax is so well-handled, that it would keep anyone on the edge while reading this novel and watching the movie.
Happy reading ! Waiting for the movie !!
The author, Guy Bailey, wrote The Ultimate Homeschool Physical Education Game Book after sensing such a need in homeschooling parents for activities. He has worked in Physical Education for over 22 years and desires to see children equipped "with a love of movement and the basic skills necessary to participate in an active lifestyle now and as adults."
Homeschooling parents are faced with a few specific problems when it comes to Physical Education. One is varying ages and levels of their children. Other problems facing homeschooling parents are small class sizes, a backyard vs gymnasium setting, and the lack of expensive equipment. Guy Bailey listened to homeschooling parents and came up with solutions.
The activities listed in the book need only 2-4 children and require inexpensive equipment, much of which is probably already in your home. All are easily played in your backyard and some are even suited perfectly for indoor play during winter months. Through this book he proved that quality PE games can be played with fewer children in smaller areas.
In the beginning of the book are tips for successfully using the games in a PE curriculum. The games are divided into 10 sections by the equipment used: Basketball, Football, Soccer, Softball, Raquet and Net, Recreational Sports, Playground Games, More PE Games with a Homeschool Twist, Fitness Building, Rope Jumping Activities. This allows the homeschooling parent to make use of equipment they already have on hand. Sections are followed by a glossary of terms familiar to that sport. Each game has quick listings for Purpose, Number of Players, Age Levels, Equipment, and Instructions. The games themselves are easily explained and illustrated by simple drawings. In the back of the book are Appendices that include tips for parents, National Standards in PE and where to find more information and resources.
I highly recommend the book for parents who want to get their children enthusiastic about fitness or need more excitement in their PE programs.
