This book gives a brilliant overview of the healing traditions of China, India, Tibet and Japan. It's packed with info, practical tips and gorgeous illustrations and photos. It's really comprehensive and well researched but also easy to read. There are lots of practical things to try out for yourself from each of the traditions too. It's the first book that I've found that gives equal weight to these 4 traditions and helped me understand some of the links between them. I especially like the sections on Tibetan and Japanese medicine. I recommend it to anyone interested in Eastern healing.

Having owned this cookbook for over four years, I've had the opportunity to sample several of its recipes. Nothing has been disappointing. I think one of the first ones I tried was the Salsa Chicken. This recipe has become a standard chicken breast recipe in my house. The salsa chicken, like most of the recipes I've prepared from this book, tastes like something which should be bad for you. This is the true test for healthy food. If you can tell something is heart-healthy when you bite into it, It loses its luster fast. Jacqueline's recipes offer substantial, satisfying flavor. The fact that it is good for you is an added bonus. Try the White Bean Chili. It is spectacular.

At times there are some ingredients which may be difficult to obtain for us commoners (such as the different dried peppers, for example). Healthy Mexican Cookbook redeems itself in content, however, making the search for these unusual ingredients well worth it.

I'VE HEARD A LOT ABOUT THOSE BOOKS, AND IM SO GLAD TO TYPE MY REVIEW!

I bought this book because I wanted to learn a little bit more about how teachers could teach various personality types. I'm not a teacher, I'm a parent. I was concerned that my child's personality was at the heart of her apparent behavioral issues in kindergarten.

This book is terrific. It highlighted the various personality types, their needs and patterns in the classroom. More importantly, it armed me with some specific strategies I plan to take to her teacher.

I highly recommend it not just for teachers but for parents looking for insights into how their children learn.

This is a book about coming to terms with one self. It incorporates the 12 step recovery program. If you are on a spiritual journey this is a must read. Jess Lair bares his soul in discussing his journey from a man of materialistic ambitions who is driven to suceed as a business man (and nearly dies in the process), to a man who finally is able to see just what is important in life. It is about living in the moment and appreciating the gifts that each of us have and the joy of living in acceptance of ourselves. Several sequels to this book are still available and are equally gratifying.

An excellent account of how black business and black businessmen and women were able to create business empires in a society that set strong boundaries against them. An must read for all Americans interested in the complete evolution of American business!

History is a record of our past. It can be taught in many diffrent ways, but none so eloquently depicted as in 'Houses of Parliament'. It is a beautiful journey shown through art and historical architecture. Anyone who picks up this book will have difficulty putting it down!

This book is a wonderful folk tale for all to enjoy. I read it to my children; ages 3 and 6. They were intriqued by the pictures and the plot. This tale brings insight into the theory of evolution and sparks the imagination. It also teaches cooperation and sharing which are so imporatant in the learning process.

I have used this book to help me start my own business selling corporate jets. I fulfilled a lifetime dream of becoming a pilot five years ago. Now I have started a corporate jet sales office and need Dr. Truman's book as a guide to success. His suggestions are enormously practical and I have used them to get started.I will use more as my business grows. It is re-assuring to know his ideas have worked for so many others around the world.I will be a success and hope to be able to thank him in person someday!
