I have found this book as the reader friendly in a wide spectrum of books available on polymer rheology. The authors have maintained a fine balance between mathematical theory and physical explanations. Therefore, one can get a feel of the subject while learning through this book. The language of the book is also lucid.

I highly recommend this book for someone who wants to know what the equations and the theories in rheology means.

Last but not least, considering the progress in last few years on theoretical front, this book needs a revision!

This superbe little book is a simple and engaging introduction to Schweitzer's life and thoughts. He has a knack for describing, with directness and humor, the thoughts and feelings of himself as a child learning some of life's tough lessons. For anyone interested in Albert Schweitzer, what a perfect place to start!

Being a Swiss, I know Mr. Ulrich personally and I know how much effort he put into his book. He really is an expert on the subject and he published hundreds of articles on cruises all over the world. His book, starting with the first cruises in the late 19th century and ending with the huge cruise ships now operating in the Caribbean, is extremely well written and a real joy to read - though I must admit that I read it in Germnan (published as "Luxusliner"), but I assume that the translator did a good job. Unfortuantely, the development of new cruise ships is so fast, that the book should be updated every year. Nevertheless, it has excellent pictures, probably the best ever published in a book on this subject. And though it is not a guide to cruising, the book tells much about what a cruise is all about.

If you are looking to have devotions at home, but do not know where to begin, stop looking. This book and the entire series are excellent. They teach biblical values through hands on expereince. As a pastor of a church, I am recommending this series to all members who have children. You do not need to know theology or know how to teach, just have a desire to set aside time one night per week and enjoy time teaching, learning and growing with your kids in a Christ centered fun way.

The title of the anthology is what initially captured my attention. Although the theme may not be typical of an anthology, the poetry is wonderful. Yet, what I loved the most about this collection is the way each poem reflects a moment whether self-reflective, angry, or lonely clearly and succinctly without any exaggerations. I definitely suggest this book to those who like poetry that is beautiful through its honesty and simplicity.

This is a wonderful little book that is not too heavy to carry in your backpack. Not only is there room on every page to record moose chases, wildflower finds and spritual realizations while in the backcountry, but during resting periods it will provide some interesting tidbits about everything from flyfishing to folklore. This is the first journal I've ever had that I actually may fill up. 8 entries already this month. Happy trails!

"Parents' Guide" offers parents an excellent resource for developing the spiritual life of our children. As a pastor and father, I'm glad for Trent & Osborne's research. If the foundation of a healthy society is found in the home, then the foundation of a healthy home is found in our spiritual life with God through Jesus Christ. For another book on Christian spiritual parenting, look into the recently published book, THE FAMILY CLOISTER: BENEDICTINE WISDOM FOR THE HOME, by David Robinson (New York, NY: Crossroad, 2000; 192pp., trade paperback).
