This book is the most useful reference book about early California art that I own. For collectors and dealers, this book is a must-have. There are no photographs, just biographies, but for collectors the information provided is invaluable. This book took years and years of hard work on the part of Edan Hughes. He deserves praise and accolades for such a monumental achievement!

Though it might not be Streisand's best album, "Till I loved you" is filled with great songs and duets. If your wildest dream was ever to join her, then you must get a copy of "Till I Loved You". We simply never were true die hard Streisand fans "till we loved you" . . . Even the few pictures in the book are worth a look at. Streisand at her best!

This is a wonderful collection of Broadway music arranged for the beautiful singing voice of Barbra Streisand. Try it for your own vocal pleasure.

Bats:Creatures of the Night, is an excellent book which presents very accurate information in an entertaining manner. It also adds some good words, such as "creature", to your child's reading vocabulary.

The book points out that bats are not to be feared as they are not dangerous as described by myth; however, the book fails to warn children that bats do carry disease and downed bats should never be picked up. Although some downed bats are fallen young, others may be sick with Rabies.

Teachers/Parents: The danger myths about bats is a good introduction to the topic of myths in general.

The books takes you to a far away place,it could be a Venitian palace or a Turkish house of worship. The colors and design makes you wish you were a guest at this hidden get away. The short stories that acompany the photos give life to the msyterious surroundings. The book is a colelctions of most peoples fantisy getaways.

I think that this book is will good for guitar begeners

I was given this copy while I was in high school. I thought it was a truly valuable resource then. Since then I have completed college, seminary and have served more than ten years in the pastoral ministry. I have many books on hermeneutics now. This book is my favorite of them all.

While it is not an absolutely complete treatment of the topic it is quite thorough. It is more than an introduction to be sure. The scripture index in the book made it a ready reference to assist with understanding any difficult passage. This index alone is 17 pages long.

The book deals with each genre of literature found in the Bible, the languages of the original texts, apparent contradictions between scripture and science as well as an excellent history of the interpretation of scripture. I think this last part is needed to give us a clearer perspective as we approach the sacred writings. This history also offers us a dose of humility as we realize Christians of years not yet come will likely scratch their heads to figure out how we arrived at some of our interpretations.

This better is better than three seminary text books on the subject combined, yet any layman can harvest the wealth of information contained therein.

Schoenfeldt masterfully combines a sophisticated literary analysis with the cultural prevalence of humoral medicine to provide real insight into the ways that people experienced and expressed their identities in early modern England. His book is well written, well considered, and should be well received. Hooray!

Etienne Delessert's superb artwork provides a visual showcase for Alistair Highet's imaginative story so perfectly reflecting the solitude and beauty of the northland, the power of a friendship between a young man and his canine companion, and the ability of a dog to deal with traversing the snow clad wilderness of Nova Scotia. Lucas is very highly recommended reading for readers of all ages who enjoy reading about the courage and intelligence of a canine companion when faced with a life or death challenge.
