I read Beverly Gray's book on "Ron Howard: From Mayberry to the Moon... and Beyond". I found it to be very easy to read, very entertaining and full of interesting stories about Ron. Ms. Gray was objective, diplomatic and kind, never to offend any party involved. I thoroughly enjoyed the book so much so that I finished reading it in one and a half day while sun bathing in Del Mar, California recently.

From his days as Opie Taylor on "The Andy Griffith Show" to his seasons as Richie Cunningham of "Happy Days", to his recent directorial achievements (including the winning of an Academy Award for Best Director of "A Beautiful Mind"), Ron Howard's professional and family life are recounted in exuberant detail in this engaging and informative presentation which is strongly recommended reading for his legions of fans.

I love this book. Ms. Gray as a biographer had a challenge here. What is interesting about the guy the whole country has known and loved as being 'wholesome'? Ms. Gray presents us with a portrait of an amazing talent, devoid of spectacle and scandal. What we find in this book is a story of a talented little boy who believed enough in himself, his abilities and his love of acting to capture the imagination of a generation. Ms. Gray is an excellent writer with a distinguishable voice. Her other book on Roger Corman shows that she is positioned to be THE writer of Director's Biographies. Buy this book. Take the journey from 'Mayberry to the Moon'. You won't regret it.

Terrific fundamentals and explainations. My only question is about the teaching of back twisters which he shows in a different way in his videos. Most coaches teach the way in the videos, and most top divers do it that way. A terrific reference for the experienced and beginning coach. I've coached divers at all levels for 25 years and I still use it as a reference.

Well, if you answered yes then purchase this book. Even though it is written on an elementary level, Ron O'brien has the credentials to back even the most simple explanations of the sport. It is great for a beginner as well as an experienced coach because it shows the perspective of a true expert. I know from my own experience that diving coaches think they know everything, but if they took the time to study the sport on the most elementary level their divers will certainly benefit.

I wanted to read, so just read and I wanted to find imformation for my reseach, but I couldn't read this. If I want to read this book on internet, then what i should do.. tell me, please.

Faucheux's book is a great resource for new candidates. I gave two copies to friends who are running for local offices and they loved it. It covers all the essentials of running for public office and is a bargain at this price.

Faucheux does a great job laying out the fine points of campaign strategy, message making, fundraising and campaign tactics from the standpoint of candidates. I gave the book to two novice candidates running for local office and they both loved it. Includes plenty of tips about little things you need to know if you want to run.

This book is great. It covers everything a political candidate needs to know about putting together a campaign. It was written by a real pro who knows elections from every angle. Ron Faucheux did a great service to people who want to run for office with this book.

It is RARE that I find a piece of fiction that I find so riveting that I cannot put it down...Literally read this book in less than 24 hours...The protaganist Alex Collier is a likeable guy as are the other charecters in the book.An insightfull look into the workings of a big city televison station while at the same time enjoying a real good mystery...Don't agree with the Kirkus Review at all.... Writing is not wooded and the plot is surely not predictable! Give it a try...You'll SEE!

This author kept me glued to the pages as does another of my favorites, John Sandford. It has mystery, suspense and romance. Eveything you want in a good thriller, you will find between these pages. It is impossible to put down.

I recommend this book for all new school psychologists, or school administrators who must be aware and prepared for the events that may occur on their school campuses.

2) Story about dream worlds and genies..."original" material, not your standard hack-n-slash/magical fantasy or alien/colonizing sci-fi.

Probably the best fantasy book I have ever read. The story keeps you wondering where it will go next. Don't start reading this book late at night, because you won't be able to put it down. It is full of satire and adventure in two alternating worlds. This is an example of why Hubbard was such a popular writer in his time.

This was an engrossing story, unlike any other I've read. It takes one right into an alternative world and builds a fantasy (or was it?) without many of the usual trappings of sword 'n sorcery. Intertwined with the real world,the goings-on in this fantasy world were highly satirical. This is a book you want to read without stopping. (I admit, I finished this book at 3 AM one night shortly after starting it.) Highly amusing, it left one with a lift.

This book is an amazing tool. I read it at school and It helps me cope with everyday life. I suggest that you should read Spiritual Shock Treatment. It's a really good gift to give to an unsaved friend to show them Gods glory from a teen point of view.

This book helps teens get real with God. Ron Luce wrote this book for the teens. The piont of the book is to help you not to have a rollercoaster relationship with God. Ron states ways ot help you not to. I would recommend this book to anyone that wants to have a serious walk with God.

I highly recommend this book. It really should be required reading, especially for couples before marriage and young people in general. While it does contain a chapter on how to get out of debt, even those who are not in debt would benefit greatly from the understanding they would gain about credit and debt.

Mr. Blue discusses "the magic of compounding interest" and how it can work for or against you. He also outlines four common sense rules that should be followed before going into debt of any kind. He specifically discusses credit card debt, car loans, and mortgages as well as church, business, and investment debt in light of the four common sense rules.

The book is well-written and easy-to-read with real-life examples. It will help those who are in debt to get out, and, if Mr. Blue's advice is followed, it will help anyone to make wise financial decisions in the future.

Anyone reading this book, and putting its ideas to work, can accomplish the goals set forth in this publication. Easy to read, practical, entertaining and truthful are but a few of the praises I place on this book. What it professes really works. I have tried it. Max Lucado is truly gifted. This beautiful, gentle book is truly a gift. This book is a compilation of Biblical accounts accompanied with first rate illustrations. It is an excellent teaching tool and families, educators and lay people alike will always find something useful in this book they can draw from.

This book will most likely stir up powerful emotions and certain passages are indeed, quite moving. The illustrations are masterpieces and the nearness of God's love is the theme that runs throughout the book. It is a very comforting book and one that will always remain part of one's life. As another reviewer aptly noted, bless these men who have used their talents in a way to impart good.

I just can't recommend this book highly enough.

This book was recommended to me by my aunt and as she tried to fullly express her feelings about it I decided to read it to my young sons as bedtime stories. BEAUTIFUL! Very moving, especially if you are familiar with the Bible correlations. I was so overcome with emotion I had to let my oldest son finish reading some of the stories aloud. Since they were young, I explained the moral of the story and how it was based on God's word. Now that they are older, I want to purchase this book and again read the stories to them. Also, I plan to buy "Tell Me the Secrets".

Max Lucado has long been one of my favorite authors, and if the beautifully illustrated cover had not been enough to attract my attention the name on the binding would. Through the use of inspiring and inspired allegories he presents the love of God in a way to touch the spirit and encourage the soul. The lovely drawings only enhance the story. We can only be thankful that these men are using their God-given talents for the forces of good!
