Ho Hum snapshots from a rich lady
If you're looking for a book of 'snapshots' from someone whose main interest is letting you know that she's traveled around the world, this book's for you! Chile, Viet Man, Havanna are all the places to be seen but Lauder failed to capture anything interesting about the people or locales. These are the type of photos that your friend wants you to suffer through when they've returned from a 14 day whirlwind tour through Europe. It's amazing what someone with a 35 mm camera and a lot of money can produce. PASS!!

A book that should have never been written
This is an incredibly annoying and useless text. I had to use this particular travesty of a book for a software engineering course and I got nothing out of it.
The title of the book is an absolute misnomer. The term "software engineering" tends to imply that the text would be of some use in a computer science course in which a fair amount of coding is involved. However, you should expect nothing of the sort from this thing. All that you'll find in this text is list after list of silly terms that have absolutely no bearing on the subject of object-oriented software design. This is a book for those individuals who will end up as managers - those that don't have the ability to write code but who nevertheless feel that they should be in computer science. It's simply a waste of paper that would be more at home in a soft management course in some third tier business school.

horrible
I actually had this woman as a teacher while earning a master's in creative writing. She made my class read her book, and after that moment I lost all respect for her not only as a professor, but also as a writer. Her writing is stiff, unintelligible, and monotonous. Her metaphors are feeble and floppy. Her slight attempts at being humorous are dull are forced. It is, quite frankly, an embarrassment as a writer, that works like this are even published. Don't waste your time.
