The Cookbook for Creating a Cookbook
Evelyn Hullah as created the 'how to' book for cookbook development. In her book Cardinal's Handbook fo Recipe Development, Evelyn explains the process of collecting, modufying and adapting, and preparing recipes for publication. This small book is packed with information on finding a target audience, organizing recipes, and preparing the book for print.

Where Evelyn has provided most benefit is in her step-by-step guidelines for laying out a recipe. Her steps become a style guide for word usage, text layout, conversion of imperial to metric units, proper use of cooking terminology, and proper process explanantions.

For everyone who has a dream of writing a cookbook of favourite family recipes, Evelyn's book is an invaluable tool that will provide the information necessary to take your collection of recipes from the ordinary, to something that may be publishable.

Children's Literature for Adults
This book offers indepth information about a variety of topics concerning childrens literature. In the first chapters it focuses on the development of children and their perceptions of literature at different ages. It then informs the reader about the historical development of children's literature. The biggest part of the book, however, is about the different genres of literature available. What I liked about this book was that it offered many examples and reading samples. It also included several essays from children book authors who wrote about their profession. The teaching aids and the recommended reading at the end of each chapter proved helpful. However, some areas of this book, such as this one, are only helpful to people interested in child education as a profession.

Cute Stickers for Kids Projects!
I bought these stickers awhile ago and have come back for more. They're great for Kid's projects or sealing an envelope with. They're cute and add color to things. Id also get them if I was a sticker collector. There's many different stickers to choose from out of this book..so no matter what kind of 'dog' personality or mood you're in there's bound to be a sticker for you!

Creativity & Madness: Psychological Studies of Art and Artists
Published in Hardcover by A I M E D (January, 1995)
Authors: Barry Panter, Evelyn Virshup, and Bernard Virshup
Amazon base price: $24.95
Used price: $16.79
Average review score:

An engaging collection of lectures on art and artists
Dr. Barry Panter, a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst, has put together with his fellow editors an engaging collection of transcribed lectures on art and artists. In most cases, the mental health professionals analyzing these artists (e.g., Jackson Pollock, van Gogh) take rather a reductionistic, Freudian stance on the sources of creativity. This is to me the book's drawback, along with the limitation of space--and therefore, depth--allowed each contributor. Nevertheless, there are some excellent articles here, and I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested in the psychology of creativity and its close connection to madness, or--to put it more clinically--psychopathology.

Exposure
I use books on tape as a way of enduring long, boring, road trips, tedious chores, and as a distraction while exercising. The book has got to be interesting enough to keep me going, or I'll stop it after the first cassette and find another. "Exposure" was a shot in the dark as I'd never heard of the author and don't know anybody else who has read or listened to this book. However, after listening to it, I'll not hesitate to look for more by Evelyn Anthony. The plot is interesting from the beginning and kept me intrigued, moving inexorably through a carefully woven and suspenseful story. The characters are well-drawn, complex, and believable. Their personalities, interactions, and relationships form an integral part of the story. The author cuts from one scene to another, drawing a picture of what is happening with each of the main characters simultaneously, as the suspense builds and the story winds to a climax. This book reminded me much of those by Ken Follett, whose taped editions I have greatly enjoyed. The reader, Sian Thomas, does a marvelous job, using various foreign accents easily without seeming fake or "corny", and helping to build the multiple settings and moods, from a London newspaper room, English countryside, Munich pub, or New York corporate power center.
