Do you work with people with developmental disabilities?
If you do, this book will have haggard edges from use. I personally have used this book in staff trainings and as a reference when faced with challenging behaviors. This guide offers intervention strategies for agitation, distress and panic behaviors in people with profound and severe developmental disabilitites running the gamut to challenging sexual behavior in people with mild and moderate developmental disabilities. Specific information is given regarding boundary setting and teaches staff how to determine what to do and when.

History Teacher's Delight
As a teacher of Oklahoma history, this book tells me everything I need to know that the student's textbook does not address! It is a teacher's delight! The book has great charts, detailed information on all of the southern tribes and is easy to read. This book is my primary source for sharing information about early Indians with my students and gives any teacher or reader the background of the various Indian groups without too much technical detail. It is also a book I would heartly recommend to students to use because of the easy reading and interesting factual details. Look no further---this one is a keeper!

A must for all children!
This is one of the best all around resource books for younger elementary children that I have ever come across. It covers many areas in many subjects in the simplest way possible. My granddaughter uses it for all of her classes and she is home schooled.

Best writing reference since Strunk & White!
I met this book volunteering in my daughter's 3rd grade class. I was so impressed with how this lays out clear examples of various writing topics that I bought a book for at home. This book will last her into high school and beyond. I highly recommend it.

Do you have a young writer in your house?
This is a superb book if you have an aspiring writer or just a child who likes to use words. It is laid out in a cute, fun and easy to read style. The pictures are delightful! Even if your child is a bit resistant to reading this book, the pictures will engage him or her.

You and your child will find such helpful information. He'll learn how to pick a subject and how to proofread a final draft. This book isn't just for the aspiriting author but is also wonderful to use in elementary school to get those papers done!

Your child will learn how to start a journal (a terrific way of expressing oneself), write a poem, (riddle or play) or write a fantasy story. He will also learn how to get ready to take a test with some test taking skills.

There is a section on how to use capital letters and punctuation and finally full color maps, an historical time-line and the metric system.

Other helpful sections in the book include helping your child manage his time, writing a speech. The one negative is that there is a section on using the card catelogue in the library. This book was written in 1995 and although many schools still use them, children are learning to look up books through the computer.

I definitely recommend this book to have in your home to help your child with his writing skills or to inspire the budding author. If you are a teacher this is a great book to have in the classroom.

A great thinker deserves a great book
The eight volumes of the Collected Papers of Charles Sanders Peirce, published by Harvard University Press, have been one of the most important sources for references on Peirce. But since 1958 - the year Arthur Burks edited the last volume - some other editions became public, complementing the Collected Papers. Surely it demonstrates the increasing academic interest on Peircean works, but at the same time it represents a problem for making unambiguous reference citations on the original manuscripts. Nowadays we need to recognize the efforts of Indiana University's Peirce Edition Project in publishing the complete writings of Peirce in a chronological edition (6 volumes available, 30 projected). It is the most important contribution in recent times to those who are really interested in the writings of Charles Peirce, one of the most important and influential american philosopher.

An excelant role-playing book
I first saw this book in my school library and immeadiatley read it up. This book puts you in the shoes of some of the greatist military minds in history, including Eisenhower, Schwartzcoph, Hitler, and others. Fans of roll playing games will find this short read very enjoyable, especialy when you find out that, had YOU been in charge, Grmany would have won WWI. I recomend this book to anyone who likes history, especialy military history.
Note: This book is very short, so don't waste money on a purchase. Find it at a library instead

Great Book (Best Fiction I Have Read) - BY ADIL JAFFRY
Nathan Gottlieb's "The Zukovka Experiment" is a work of masterful intrigue, keeping the reader invoked in the plot till the very end. Although I read it 10 years ago, I vividly remember the character of Alex Palmer (the muckracking author) who unfolds the mystery connecting Yuri Demichev (a young russian elite) and Daniel Johnson (a truck driver) in USA. The story stretches over 5 decades and involves international strategy and betrayal at the highest levels of the Oval office. Dont miss a chance to read it!!
