Senational photgraphic treasures of the greatest island
This is a sensational collection of breathtaking photographs of natural wonders and major cities of Australia. This is the best collection of photographs of Australia I've ever seen and I live here. There is a small amount of information on each place but not sufficient that you could plan your entire journey or use it as a travelling guide companion. Buy this for the photographs. This would make an excellent present for either Australians to give friends, host families, relatives and so on in other countries or for people outside of Australia to buy just to have sensational photographs to look at. All the major cities and natural wonders are in here. This would also make an excellent book to use for school projects and the like. If you are interested in Australia you have to own this book.

Ayeh? (Where)
Published in Paperback by Breslov Research Inst (1985)
Authors: Nachman of Breslov, Nathan of Breslov, and Avraham Greenbaum
Amazon base price: $3.00
Average review score:

A masterpiece directive to personal Jewish existance
Ayeh, meaning "Where?" is a work of monumental significance. The book, is actually teaching #12 from "Likutei Moharan" Vol 2, the magnum opus of Rabbi Nachman of Breslove, the quintessential Hassidic master of all time. This teaching was singled out by the master himslef as one of two cornerstone directives to resonal existance as a Jew.

In Ayeh?, Rabbi Nachman lays out the principle tenent of Judaism: "The most important principle in Judaism" says the master "is to conduct oneself (in accordance to the Torah) with utter simplicity and innocence". Rabbi Nachman then proceeds to describe the confusion of those who choose the route of sophistication, describing along the way with painful accuracy the wowes of modern men. Rabbi Nachman then reveals, in a storke of blinding genius, how the essense of God can be found in the deepest quagmire by the search for revelation in the very darkness itself. How the ultimate solace can be found in the throws of doubt and confusion. God's omnipresence is to be found in the very quest of "Where are you, God?". God's omnipresense is the question itself. In a show of breathtaking mastery, Rabbi Nachman connects the utter simplicity of the quest to the deepest concepts of Kabalah, showing, in affect, how the utmost simplicity contains the loftiest of concepts.

"Ayeh" is a thin book that reads easily, but don't let the simplicity fool you. This is one profound little book that is likely to offer you ever changing meaning and relevance along your life's journey. A masterpiece.

The Bane of Cinco De Mayo
Published in Paperback by iUniverse.com (2000)
Author: Nathan S. Mitchell
Amazon base price: $15.95
Average review score:

Wet Rogue Agent Gets Even
In "Bane of Cinco de Mayo," Author Mitchell provides a third view of the CIA and how it does business. (His two earlier works, "The ProCon Conspiracy" and "The Pro Patria Project" also dealt with the CIA and its crime-fighting techniques). In "...Cinco de Mayo" the hero, Jesus Garcia aka WC-99, becomes an operative the hard way and moves up fast. After succeeding on several "black missions" out of CIA Headquarters in Langley, he gets transferred to the West Coast to be closer to his ailing father. He becomes disgruntled by what he perceives as xenophobia and ethnic bias, and decides to get even. Pursued by a Latina ex-lover who wants him dead because he dumped her for an Anglo beauty, Agent Garcia becomes a killing machine. Fed up with the system and its hypocrisy, he turns into a wet rogue agent and metes out justice in his own way. He uses his special skills to assassinate a Colombian drug lord, apprehend and eliminate international terrorists, and serve as a bodyguard for a governor whom he later decides to murder. The author cleverly weaves intriguing subplots into the main theme to keep the reader rooting for heroes who turn into villains, and vice-versa. The third of Mitchell's novels published in 2000, "...Cinco de Mayo" is an excellent depiction of what is possible from the men and women who serve in one of this nation's most furtive, controversial institutions. Hopefully, the ultimate motion picture will do the book justice.

The book has a unique two column format. On the left is the main text. On the right are details about the studies supporting the recommendations of the authors. They don't tell you what to do - they give you the available evidence so you and your patient can make the best possible decision for yourselves.
I keep this book in my office at all times - about 90% of the time it has the answers to the questions I need. It is my most use text.
